HUGE Crash At Olympic BMX Track Ended Badly

This was my first time at the indoor BMX track in Manchester Cycling Centre. As you can see, it didn't go to plan. Watch to see what happened.
It's totally different to riding mountain bikes on soft loamy ground. This BMX Track was like concrete. If you crash, you crash BIG. There's no middle ground. The margin for error is so small - hats off to the people who race BMX at the highest level in the Olympics, they are mad... and extremely precise!

Hope Rob has a speedy recovery. That was scary to watch and certainly making me think twice about having a try now. Messed about on BMX tracks in the 80’s, very tame by today’s standards… thanks for sharing.

It was scary! My advice would be to take things easy if it’s your first time at a bmx track - they can bite back, and the margin for error is small

Hard video to watch as you never want to see someone suffering but I guess this is an honest video and shows how badly it can turn quickly from what seems a fairly minor bail.

Hope he gets well soon, FJ's guys built a pump track near me (salford) I've taken the hardtail a few times, first thing I noticed it's bloody hard work!! Was thinking about getting a second hand bmx but I've changed my mind now 😅

Hi mate I hope he’s ok. I’m an ebike rider but wow after 15 year off bike I had brain surgery to save my life. 30 minutes left to live the dr said. Sold car house etc I thought ebike was a good idea. Wow how right I was. Put it this way some of my non bike mates have said wow that’s better than driving. And they never even went off road. 👍
