Oh my,when I was sure we had seen all of your beauties you come out with a hundred year old wood gutter,how amazing is that!!! I love the table after the wax application just beautiful.Bev my sister and her family lived in Germany back in the late fifties when her husband was in the army as military police.They lived in with a German family and she always said it was one of best times of her life.She learned enough of the language to get by,also was taught so many of the recipes that her family still love so much today,She talks about her German family that she lived with still today and she is 82 years old.Thank you Bev for all the love you share.♥️Barb

Oh I love how you showcased all those lovely vintage watches believe it or not my son who's 22 now became a watchmaker at 19 and went to a Swiss watchmaking school so I was so used to seeing all those gears and antique faces as I would fly him watches for him to practice on

Beautiful love it all. I actually have a big round clock without the hands. I told John when I got it at Goodwill I thought perfect for us. We never have a certain time set for anything just 2 people living our Retirement.

Lovely to see you sewing Bev! Don't beat yourself up, regarding Zen & the Art of Using a Sewing Machine. As my German neighbors would say to me, " Diana, you can DO this! " And Gram attempted to teach me the art of using a treadle to no avail. I was too small at the time and the foot mechanism terrified me :-O
Now I wish I had tried harder to be brave, because you saw my restored 1900s treadle sewing machine...Yes I have an electric Singer, but I am determined to use the treadle. I will DO this :-)
My husband's 3rd generation family farm has three properties, counting our cottage. There is the grandparent's original farm with barns and my father-in-laws's farm with barns. I mention this because all the barns still have everything stored inside from those eras. So far I have gleaned a few vintage farm items for the garden. Some old galvanized wash tubs. An old wooden wheelbarrow. Now you have inspired me to brave the spiders and the dark and go into some of these barns!

Bev, I have that same little clock I bought in German at the base exchange in Zweibrucken, Germany probably in 1972. It doesn’t work because my little girl, who will be 50 in Jan., overwound it. I bet I could get it fixed. I love it and now have a new appreciation for it. Whenever I look at i I will think of you!
