I’m 15 and I started working my first restaurant job just this winter, I saw noticed your “waitress income” in the title. And I also just started a couple weeks ago doing the whole cash stuffing budget binder thing. But I have only one binder and only 5 categories, savings, emergency, personal spending, clothing, and hair, but I have been budgeting 6 dollars into my bank envelope for subscriptions since I have my own Netflix and kindle unlimited since I’m the only one that uses Netflix in my home and I like reading. But I have found that since I’ve been budgeting and seeing how much money I’m making and where it’s all going, that I haven’t been recklessly spending so much, like last summer I worked housekeeping at a campground and made quite a bit of money… I had less than half of what I made last summer in my savings by the time I got here and started working at this new place and I realized that if I’m gonna wanna get a car by the time I’m 18 then I need to start saving and making sure I’m not moving money out of my savings.
Hi! That's amazing you're already working! Being a server is a great first job and just job in general when you're younger and still have lots of energy! Those categories are great and they are what work for you! Being independent at a young age is amazing and shows how dedicated you are to getting that car. @@rayboletti I’m actually just a busser/food runner, I realize now I didn’t really specify that, but I’m still making quite a bit with that job and my 5% of tips and it gives my adhd brain something to do with running around and sorting dishes. I don’t really like meeting new people but my parents and my aunt pushed me out of my comfort zone to work at the restaurant instead of the motel but this gives me a bit of a way of easing into adulting while still being able to be a kid. I technically wouldn’t be able to be a serve if I even wanted to, our restaurant serves alcohol and I can’t sell or serve but it’s fine, I’m perfectly ok with being able to stand in the back and sort dishes.

Food $400. A month

But I never see it or touch it.

I’m 18 and I want to try and get into cash stuffing when I start my new job to save up for a car is this a good way to save up, any tips?
Hey boo! 🤗Ok so first and foremost, cash stuffing is aways going to be a personal journey. You may need more money in an envelope(food example) than others bc you include groceries in there. It is what works best for you so never compare your stuff to others. Not everyone gets paid the same amount and has the same bills.
Start with looking at your bank statements and see what you spend on the most. Then, organize those things into categories (around 5) that you will use as your weekly envelopes. For example, I use food, gas, miscellaneous, giving, weekend. These are things i know i will spend on during the week so i need to put money aside in order to be able to pay for them. Same goes for your bills or sinking funds.
If you want to save up for a car, have one envelope named Car(or whatever you'd like) and if you know the car costs 10,000 in total, if you do the math, thats roughly $208 per week you would need to set aside for you to have 10,000 by the end of a year. I could go on and on haha but I hope that helps with starting! Let me know if you have more questions, I'm happy to answer them!😁💜

Hiii! 👋🏼So I actually made a little over $1000, but that is for 4 paycheck(4 weeks). That would be roughly $250 a week. I just was really busy so I combined all my paychecks into one video😇 And I'm in little old GA🤗💜
If you're a good waitress and you work at a busy restaurant you can make $100 in tips a day easy.

Hey so I actually get paid every week so I try to do my stuffings every week but of course I've been crazy busy lately so I've been having to hold onto my money and just film when i can! But yes, if you see "for stuffings in one video" that means I held onto the money for that whole time but of course if I needed to buy anything, I would just grab out of it.
