Even after two decades there is not a single show that even come close to Band of Brothers and I dont see anything challenging it in another 100 years, amazing!!! What a masterpiece !!!
i actually like the pacific more
The Pacific is a damn good show on hbo max check it out man an tom Hanks helped direct it
Same here
Band of brothers
And it was all true..,
What puts Band of Brothers above all the others is the fact that all the characters in the series are playing the actual members of Easy company.
Most of the actors in Band of Brothers met with their real life counterparts & got to know their personalities as well as their real life experiences in the war.
You can’t beat the series on authenticity, detail & character development.
I’m sure the directors took some artistic liberties for the sake of entertainment but if you read any of the many books written on Easy company the show
was spot on & historically correct.
The should make a Band of Brothers/ The Pacific style Mini-Series for the Eastern Front.
Fick bolshewik Schweine! They should make one for the Baltic forest brothers
"Generation war" covers part of that. There are also numerous series made in Russia about multiple events on the Eastern front. There is an old and very good one called "Liberation" (1970-71) it is a 5 part WWII series. I recommend it.
Band of Brothers is so good...it's the type of show that U eagerly come back to again and again.
pasific was waayyy better bruh
@@requiemforadream9221 sorry..but, you're definitely in the minority on that.
just facts.
@@isuriadireja91Band of Brothers is overrated. Easy company was not the best they were average, and they didn't do the heavy lifting like fans exergerate.
This is a great list. Band of Brothers definitely deserves the #1 spot.
Top 3 you must watch
1.Band of brothers
2.The Pacific
3.Das boat
These are the masterpiece!😊
Don’t forget generation kill, amazing series too
Generation war should be on this list
Das Boot is a Wolfgang Peterson film. Whatever you think Das Boot is is not Das Boot.
As good as Band of Brothers and The Pacific were, Generation War is tops for me. Showing the extreme changes in the attitudes, to the war, of the main characters. Can watch it over and over.
Band of Brothers is a masterpiece
Pacific was the only thing close
COMPLETE MASTERPIECE..
Generation war was as good as band of brothers
Agreed Maa Shaa Allah
BoB is overrated.
Thank you amazing video
Thank you so much 😘
Thank you for help Best movies never be miss
Good list. Band of brothers is always #1. But to me generation kill is a close 2nd. Just the way the marines act reminds me of deployments I participated in the 90s. Such a great depiction of the modern American military.
very very great epic list I like it a lot very great job
thank boets! Perfect!!!
band of brothers i watched that series many times like an annual routine same to LOTR and the HOBBIT films its great series and an OG.
Had not heard of most of them.Band of Brothers was mesmerizing.
I agree with your #1. But you left off Herman Wouk's "Winds of War" and "War and Remembrance". While the script tells a fictitious story woven into WWII, it is masterfully done, well acted and shows that there is much more to war than bullets.
Anzacs and Valley Of Tears are both very good too
I'd like to add a few possibilities: The Winds of War/War and Remembrance, Horatio Hornblower, Piece of Cake, Holocaust. Four very good ones.
Just a thought
I completely agree. I love W of W
and W and R. I have both on dvd.
I like your choices with the exception of Holocaust because it was historically inaccurate with regard to the escape from Sobibor scene. Also, I didn't think that this miniseries truly captured the horrors of the Jewish ghettos as the people looked too healthy. Winds of War and War and Remembrance were fabulous. These miniseries captured the true horrors of the Holocaust much better.
Generation War is so good.
This video was a good introduction to some excellent series, if a little US centric. However, please employ a narrator more interested in the topic than the automaton you chose here.
War and Peace ❤ The Pillars of the Earth❤
Damn, forgot about one of the best two. Sharpe and hornblower. But I can't disagree with this list.
I just watched the first episode of hornblower. It's pretty good.
I just realized Generation War those two brothers are both named Winter's. Band of Brothers follows Major Winter's it's like winterception.
THE PACIFIC DUDE!!!! 🤨
Valley of tears
Nothing beats Band of Brothers and North and South
Shame that Rome(2005) isn’t on this list
We all knew Band of Brothers would be number one. We came to see which shows made the list.
You forgot SAS rogue heroes 2022.
Band of brothers and the Pacific
tour of Duty is still my show .
R.I.P Richard Davis Winters (January 21, 1918 - January 2, 2011)
in my opinion generation war is the best and then band of brothers an the pacific
I’ll check out generation
Band of brothers best war show/movie ever made its not even close
The title is series. Does the rise of evil even have the 2nd ep?
Das Boot (2018- now) is indeed a series. You should have rather mentioned that.
The fact that Sharp's Rifles not there is ridiculous
Horatio Hornblower is also missing
It can be argued that both are a collection of television movies, rather than a unified miniseries.
. Band of Brothers will always be No. 1
Great list but you Missed 12 O Clock High, Combat, Winds of War and War and Remembrance by Herman Wouk (Novel) dude. War and Remembrance The Greatest WWII TV drama ever produced based on Henry Family.
The Boat aka Das Boot, North n South, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, North n South, Generation War, Rommel, Isoroku Yamamoto CIC Combined Fleet and Generation Kill are my favorite War Tv Series till date. Respects from India 🇮🇳...
I loved Winds of War and War and Remembrance because it had more than just combat fighting. The miniseries should the plight of the jews and their destruction under the Nazis regime. I thought that Holocaust was accurately portrayed in War and Remembrance.
Band of Brothers and pacific
Band of brothers...none can match it....
once an eagle with Sam Elliott
1.Band of Brothers.2 Das Boot. 3.Unsere Mutter, Unsere Vater (Generation War) 4 The Pacific.
Hi, Im looking for mini series from western front in ww2, in one episode americans capture german soldier who turns out, is a friend of american from before the war (they met in berlin). They all hide in some woman's cottage from snow blizzard. Any ideas?
It's not a mini tv-series. It's a trilogy of movies called "Saints and soldiers" , but the first one made in 2003 is what you're looking for. I've watched it twice and it's the best of the three, the rest are not good.
@@bernabetorres864 Oh thank you so much, this means a lot!
@@fuzinho1 of course 👍🏼
band of brother is the best
What? No Winds of War? That was far better than North & South or Generation Kill
Band of Brothers absolutly the best...that said..the introduction/presentation of "Das Boot the series" is pure and simple horrific.. only good thing is the few original scenes from the movie (intro),..whole series have nothing to do with the conditions in a ww2 sub at the time..(exept clips from the original movie)...as a love-story it will work...not as war-movie..
I'll fix the top 3 for ya
1. Band of Brothers
2. Generation War
3. The Pacific
1. Band of Brothers
2. Generation Kill
3. The Pacific
4. Generation War (Unsere Mütter unsere Väter)
Where is the long road home
This is my top war movie of all time
1. Stalingrad 1993
2. Das boot 1981
3. Generation War
4. All quiet in the western front
5. The red baron
Anti war no bias true war stories best of best german true Europe defender 👍
What
Dass boot
generation kill
Learn the proper names of the series, ffs... DAS BOOT for example, not The Boat... jesus chirst!
Band of Brothers is the best movie.
Such a lacking collection of series...
Band of Brothers is very overrated, Easy company was not the best in the airborne like the show and the book try to make it out to be and it didn't do the heavy lifting like fans say it did which is really annoying to hear whenever I'm playing WW2 games because teammates just can't shut up about the show saying "It’s realistic," just ask any other veteran, historian or anyone from France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Austria and they'll tell you: "It isn't," it's also historically inaccurate because the guy who wrote the book 'Stephen Ambrose' didn't fact check any of the accounts given to him by the vets and he also intentionally wrote lies to make certain men look good in the book which Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and John Orloff just ate up without taking anything Ambrose wrote with a grain of salt or doing any research and cross-referenceing of their own and now that you think about it, the fight scenes were pretty dumb after watching History Legends react and The Operation Room narrate and learning about what really happened in the battles, the show also omits and doesn’t give enough screentime to a lot of the men in Easy company like Forest Guth and Ken Mercier or Sisk and Christenson. It’s an overrated show with a lot of inaccurate equipment. A lot of the men don't look like their real-life counterparts, which I thought was bad casting because a lot of the actors looked similar to other men and could've been swapped to play other men, but the casting director wasn't smart enough to see it. The cinematography and color grading were nothing compared to SPR. They could've rehired just Janusz Kamiński. The show could've been a lot better had they simply gotten Mark Bando who is 101st airborne and 2nd armored historian to be a historical consultant on the show and took what Stephen Ambrose wrote with a grain of salt and learned that Easy company moved out for the Battle of Nuenen on September 20 with the 44 RTR of Shermans and not Cromwells on September 19, which is the only event Mark writes wrong for the website Band of Brothers - TRIGGER TIME.
