I'd like to see Yoshi + Rabbid Yoshi come back as a single character. Have Rabbid Yoshi riding on Yoshi (or, for added hilarity, Yoshi riding on Rabbid Yoshi), so they have a rather large movement range but are probably limited elsewhere.
That would be hilarious lmao, but I’d prefer a Yoshi’s island DLC instead

Hmm, I think I've got some ideas to how each could work...
- Yoshi could be a scavenger type character, he could able to run in, grab enemies and pocket them in eggs for future attacks, maybe give an extra dash too? He could also have extra movement after a team jump which would give him more breathing room to go behind cover after jumping ahead. This could also be kinda like 'extending his jump' which would be conceptually similar to the flutter jump.
He'd be most useful at sucking up small clusters of enemies since every enemy defeated with the dash adds more ammo and he could utilise bombs later then just immediately after dashing into them.
Also if he attacks with no ammo it'd be a tongue move instead that would pocket the enemy if defeated.
Special could be like Hero sight but he just eats an enemy projectile with his tongue and pockets it.
- Rabbid Yoshi could have high movement and extra but low damage dashes, he'd be good at kiting enemies since he'd end up closer to them and therefor would draw aggro.
These would make him good at controlling the flow of battles, getting rid of smaller enemies and setting up harder encounters for the rest of the team to deal with, but would have sub par damage and would need other team mates to follow through.
Special would be like the shield from the first game, it'd have a health pool and would protect from any overkill on the attack that breaks it, this would give him more defence against chip damage than with the last game without giving him multiple shields.
Weapon would probably be a low damage 'pea shooter' esk weapon, like Mario's blaster in the first game, but it could be cool if a crit made it so the next attack on that enemy is guaranteed to crit.
Not too sure on the weapon though, didn't have any other cool ideas.
Probably not perfect concepts, and maybe the archetypes aren't that different from what' already in the game but I think they're cool.

Well Yoshi is the last character you get in Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle. And you get him HALF WAY THROUGH THE FINAL WORLD.

Not a big loss at all here, I already was expecting they to be cut since the announcement in 2021.
I think if the Yoshis are DLC, I hope they improve them considerably. I thought of the idea of they become multicolored like the ones in the Yoshi Island but each Yoshi Color has a special super effect tied to it.
Green Yoshi: Has the ability to eat enemies and throw them at other enemies (basically like dk in the DLC for the first game)
Red Yoshi: Has an increased chance on a weapons super effect. Max is 90% chance.
Blue Yoshi: Can team jump without teammates (like he could grow wings like in super Mario world.)
Yellow Yoshi: Can ground pound after a team jump like in the original game.
Orange Yoshi: Spray out orange juice as a main weapon which goes through damaged cover instead of hus normal main weapon.
Pink Yoshi: Inflates into a balloon during team jumps to increase distance from team jumps by 1.5 and increases height gained from them. Increases teammate jumps off of pink yoshi by 1.2.
Light Blue Yoshi: Secondary weapon replaced by a close range bubble attack which carrys opponents away from where you are by "7" tiles.
Black Yoshi: Can hide inside his egg if not used for the whole nullifying all damage. However, there is a 1 turn cooldown.

That kinda sucks considering that Yoshi and Rabbid Yoshi appear very late in the original game’s campaign.
I hope that if DLC does come later down the line, though, maybe Bowser Jr. can join the roster. He feels like the most logical choice.
Or Rosalina join the team. Or can do a similar thing with the Donkey Kong DLC and make a separate campaign for them to be in.

I mean, I would like them to have a minor role in the game, at least NPCs that gives you item, but yeah, it would be really cool if they have their own DLC too.

Honestly, I'm not too bothered by their exclusion. Sure, I thought they were good characters in battle, but I understand the devlopers wanting to focus on the newer characters for the sequel. Plus, I feel like adding Yoshi and Rabbid Yoshi to this roster could furthur increase the chances of certain characters getting ignored by players. After all, you can only bring 3 characters onto the battlefield.
But that isn't really a good reason to not add them, having more options wouldn't hurt
I mean having nine characters but only three available in battle already means there's going to be some forgotten by certain players, that adds replayability to games like this.

They kinda got shafted in Kingdom Battle in the first place so having a shot of giving them a starring role in some Yoshi’s Island DLC could be cool
Maybe we will get Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Rabbid Baby Mario and Rabbid Baby Luigi in the DLC as well there.

I have a feeling they cut Yoshi from the main game so that they can add our favorite green dinosaur in future DLC. It seems like they held Yoshi back from the main game on purpose so that more people can purchase the Gold Edition instead of the Standard Edition.

It's great to see them making the characters more unique compared to each other. Looking back on it, they already did it with Donkey Kong in the DLC of the first game and I have to say that it felt really great and I would have loved to see DK back but in the same way, I can't wait to try out every characters the sequel has to offer.
I'm especially curious on how Edge will be implemented and how they will feel overall. I really hope they made sure that Edge feels like they belong to the game and isn't just a weird new original character that makes no sense.

Those two were my favorites in kingdom battle. Literally just because of their mini guns, but they were still pretty great. I know that if they get added to sparks of hope they’ll be completely different but at least then all the heroes from kingdom battle will be back. Although if other characters are added as dlc I still wouldn’t complain

Yeah that would be great, but it’s highly unlikely as the Lava Queen is a Valkyrie and Rumblebang isn’t in this game. Also, Bwaluigi is a Smasher so there really wouldn’t be anything for him either.

Tbh, I believe that with the inclusion of a possible “season pass” could add new heroes and old ones too. But I believe the more the merrier. Some specific quest could give you specific heroes to choose from to fig ur this battle which would give the game a was better feel.

I hope that for the dlcs we get one with Daisy and/or Wario and their rabbid counterparts, I was think that maybe there could be one that features only the girls, Peach, rabbid Peach, Rabbid Rosalina, Edge, the Rosalina hopefully, and Daisy and her rabbid lol
It has been said that Yoshi and Rabbid Yoshi are taking a vacation, but those two are my #1 choices! In the DLC, the vacation has gone chaotically wrong and is under attack by more Rabbid enemies. It's up to Yoshi, Rabbid Yoshi, Yoshi's color friends, Rabbid Yoshi's color friends, and Poochy (maybe Rabbid Poochy too, I don't know) to stop the mayhem and save their vacation!
The fact that Yoshi and Rabbid Yoshi were the last two (and quite late too) to be unlocked in the first game and now this, I do think it is justified why they didn't include them in a way but it's still quite sad. Like others have said though, I hope there is a DLC for them because completely excluding them from the game would be even more sad. Apart from that though, the game looks great and definitely has improvements from Kingdom Battle and I hope to get it, playing as the new characters and battling with new mechanics definitely sounds fun (but please don't completely exclude Rabbid Yoshi and Yoshi, Nintendo 🥺)
And also, I do like the new characters, don't get me wrong, but this doesn't mean Yoshi and Rabbid Yoshi are disposable, useless or non-unique and deserve to be replaced and/or excluded, no matter if it was Nintendo or Ubisoft that made the decision, I don't understand why they couldn't just keep everyone from the first game and have the new characters, Yoshi fans are forced to get hurt by this unless they're in DLC, which is better than their complete exclusion but it's still quite sad.

I just don't like when games cut characters. No matter what, the character that is cut is inevitably someone's favorite (unless the character is just really bad). Is it really so hard to find a unique roll for Yoshi? Yoshi in traditional Mario does effectively two things: eats baddies and throws eggs. While I'm sure an instant kill devour attack would be too powerful, he could serve as crowd control. He could eat the enemy and spit him out somewhere else, repositioning the enemy or throw allies to a better advantage. (I know that's a thing, but it's a different kind of throw, maybe with a ricochet effect or something.) There, I gave Yoshi a thematically appropriate, likely unique, strategically useful play style. Took me what, two seconds? Three tops.

I once said before in another video; if they aren't able to add more Heroes on the team it would be cool if the remaining characters are have missions just like Toad in the first game, but instead of being an escort mission the characters like Rosalina, Waluigi, Daisy, etc would have abilities to aid the Heroes exculsive for those battles.

Hoping to see Bowser Jr be added since Bowser is gonna be apart of the team now. I think making Bowser Jr like a summoner that could deploy a mecha coopa to be controlled like a weaker extra hero for a turn or two would be interesting. Maybe give him the ability to deploy his Coopa mech to wreak havoc for a few turns before turning to normal.
Couldn’t they just put Yoshi & Rabbid Yoshi as a little Easter egg us fans thinking about if they might come as season pass (DLC)
Maybe one of the DLCs could be a Yoshis Island themed campaign, similar to how DK got it's own DLC campaign.

The heros that I hope they add are a possible Bowser Rabbid, Rosalina, and DK. Rosalina would be fun to have partner up with the rabbid counterpart and DK had a really good dlc adventure.
Since there's no explicit Bowser Rabbid, I'm assuming that Edge is basically the closest we will get.

As long as each character is more unique i am happy. Replaying thru Kingdom Battle made me realize that besides the Luigis everyone else had the same main weapon in pair off 2s and every secondary weapon had its double

I feel like they should have a DLC adventure with Yoshi and Rabbid Yoshi where they are on vacation and something happens so they need to protect the Mushroom Kingdom by themselves. I have the feeling that Super Mario Galaxy 3 might be considered by Nintendo if this game sells well, just my opinion which could easily be wrong, but we do want that game to release someday.
I hope they bring back yoshi through dlc, I used him a lot after unlocking him, the super chance and m-power combo is pretty busted ngl. But then I'm not even sure if the abilities will return with the same application.

Actually, if they do a dlc, wouldn't it be cool if it revolved both Donkey Kong and Yoshi? I mean they do live in similar environments so it wouldn't be too far fetched to think about, especially considering if, when you really think about it, Yoshi could very well have had the same special powers that Donkey Kong had in his campaign. Plus it'd be *_really_* funny to see Rabbid Cranky interacting with Rabbid Yoshi.

This is a little bit random, but what if they added Rayman to the game? I think it's possible because of what happened three years ago with the license. The license was renewed in 2019, and if you don't know what that means, companies have to renew a license when collaborating with other companies so there isn't any legal issues. Commonly, it's for T shirts, Toys, etc. However, nothing has been announced for Rayman, not even a collectible or anything. For awhile, people thought it was for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but nothing came out of it. So what if the license got renewed for this game? It would make sense, because T shirts and toys don't take 3 years to make.

This idea of removing a character is pretty bad conceptually. In the first game my party was just characters i like outside of this game. It’s just takes enjoyment away from people who like the character. A lot of people aren’t thinking of party synergy or anything. Yoshi isn’t my favorite so I’m not that upset personally but if they did that to a character I liked a lot I’d be annoyed tbh.
Imagine a Yoshi Island DLC Adventure like the DK Country one with Yoshi, Rabbid Yoshi & Bowser Jr. on a colorful new land.
If not that, then how about a unexpected adventure with Wario teaming up with the Rabbid Wario Bros.
The best choice would probably be side stories like the dk dlc.
Yoshi island style: adds the yoshis again, rabbid yoshi is about hitting a large amount of times with like 5 weaker attacks, but yoshi would be a support focusing on Crit.
Dk country: Donkey Kong as a purely melee focused hero with emphasis on tankiness. Rabbid DK? Another melee focused on crowd control?
Warioware: Wario and Waluigi both being mobility focused wario having a slide focus and waluigi having a jump focus.
1) Exactly what's in the HUD of battles?
2) If they will make a DLC I want at all costs Professor Barranco and Serguei.

I'm not upset since (despite how much I love Yoshi) I didn't find Yoshi or Rabbid Yoshi fun to use in Kingdom Battle. However, I think it would be REALLY cool if we got a DLC adventure themed around the Yoshi games and they were brought back in that like Kingdom Battle did for Donkey Kong.
Hope we get a yoshi island DLC in the same way we got Donkey Kong’s in the first game.

I don't care much about yoshi not getting in since many characters in kingdom battle repeated weapons and now with 9 characters with different weapons and ability's everyone can be used. In kingdom battle I never used rabbid luigi and yoshi was added to late in the game to get much use out of him anyway but now all the characters seem useful. I would like to see them in DLC as well as DK from kingdom battles DLC.
These two got the least spotlight. They only appear in two cutscenes (or was it 3?) if you don't have them equipped, they're unlocked incredibly late in the game, and almost everything about them (except the Miniguns, which are *awesome)* is reused. Hopefully they'll at least be some explanation of why they aren't playable, such as they stayed behind to protect the Mushroom Kingdom, or they could be NPCs or have a DLC
I liked them, but they’re basically the only ones they could sacrifice for new characters (and I don’t think they want to add too many characters).
As for DLC… maybe. But I kinda hope they add different characters (normal or Rabbid versions) like Wario, Waluigi, classic Mario enemies, Spike, Dry Bones, maybe Rayman, and so on.
This is very true. I don’t think anyone else from the first game could be cut except the Yoshis. And I agree that they don’t want to add too many characters.

I kinda understand rabbid yoshi because with his gun happy personality plus with this game being about going to different planets meaning many different society rules he could probably get his face on a wanted poster in 4 minutes flat but mostly because In game ever hero had brand new weapons unique to them with there own upgrades and with many new ideas like for example Mario had the exact same weapon as rabbid peach in kingdom battle but In the 2nd game rabbid peach got a weapon that ignores small cover and Mario got the a gun that can shoot two enemy's at once and a 3rd enemy with two bullet's if you count the hero shot
What I'm trying to say is making every character stand out plus corporate and office deadlines is task easier said than done
