One thing that I LOVE about this game is the pay off with Fawful. In Superstar Saga he was Cackletta's really competent lackey, then in Partner in Time you find him presumably biding his time and gathering resources, he talks about coming back in the future which this game delivers on.
I am BEYOND stoked for Brothership. We are on such a roll with Mario RPGs lately, another true to from Paper Mario game that plays like the 64 and TTYD would be the ultimate icing on the cake.
Yeah Mario RPGs are SO BACK.
Because I've done it myself, no optional fights is damn difficult on its own. Especially with Bowser

I'm looking for more challenge ideas (due to the unexpected revival of the gods) I'm exceedingly good at every timing for dodging this seems like it could make things interesting

7 years ago, I played Bowser's Inside Story for the first time on the DS when I was 10 years old. It was one of my very first video games. What's funny about this playthrough is that the levels were almost identical to my first run of the game. Mario was at level 25, Luigi at 27, and Bowser at 32. The final boss was epic but not the hardest; that title goes to the trashcan, which fucked me over for a whole month. However, I was a stubborn kid and said, 'Fuck leveling up, I'm Beating him.' This game was a part of my childhood and i have alot of great memories with it.

I’m surprised by the amount of challenges runs in this series. So had to! The games are also goated!
This run is actually possible even if you’re restricting yourself from fighting the optional battles
But yeah, very difficult, you’re basically a glass cannon, and you need to be a MASTER of dodging.

man, this was my favorite childhood game right behind Mario Kart Wii. it was fun seeing it from someone else's perspective...and also tealizing the messed up things that flew over my head as a kid. loved this video, you've earned my sub

This is how I played the game as a child (couldn’t read) I also didn’t know how to do action prompts good. I got fairly far I think I peaked around somewhere after the second midbus fight.
I came back later and played the game like a normal person and beat it.

I can't see why people would be upset at you using inhale, it's literally still the exact same battle, it just changes which characters you control. And as you said, some fights outright require it.
Thank you for the incite! My thought process is because no optional battle applies to that people might be mad but sense it's one battle I allowed it.

I remember as a kid I thought the toad town Bowser fight's stats were determined by how much you leveled up Bowser yourself and i was stuck on it for so long I did a whole nother playthrough where I only leveled his horn.

I got walled on Dark Bowser for about a month, but it was super satisfying to finally beat.
Also I didn't know you could counter the cage attack by swinging it onto his head until like, last week.

Yeah. I could’ve used the Powerful badge for more damage but I needed all the SP I could get. And yeah Fury is great but I really didn’t utilize it that much too risky.
If you inhale and get the blitties then run away you still get to keep the blitties son you can the cynically get groovy within the rules!

I did the no optional battles. it is super intense. And it is awsome to level up like crayzy.
Yeah it was a great feeling getting like 3 levels per boss.

What do you mean by Multistats?
So no Multistats to me is increasing more than one stat in the roulette. Like HP or Defense. I can only increase one of the 6 stats. I can increase one and only one throughout the entire Challenge.
