another easily missed moment of dialogue from wheatley is when he fixes the crap turrets during your escape, and he's talking about playing cards. if you fuck with the excursion funnel so it hits halfway through the wall, he starts going on about his plan, and you can leave and go back in it and he gets increasingly frustrated with you for ruining his great speeches

BUT-BUT I think I just got exploded too much and didn't actually run out of time, so that doesn't tell me if the timer was indeed a neurotoxin death ... CRAP this is gonna bother me now lol. I shall investigate

That Wheatley cripples or destroys literally everything he touches, including vast, labyrinthine ultra high tech facilities and their power supplies. That said, he still utilized neurotoxin, since if I recall correctly he knew about the reactor but still wanted to make sure you died. So how he managed to repair the Neurotoxin Generator we clearly decimated earlier is still a bit of a mystery.
This is a side note, but i love the slight tonal contrast of the two boss fights. GLaDOS is hyper intelligent as an ai so all of her cores have to do with overloading her with information. The one that is constantly spouting out a cake recipe, the one that asks questions constantly out of curiosity, the one that is just pure seething rage. All of wheatleys cores are used to overload him in the same way, but because he was designed to be stupid theyre all meant to overload that stupidity. The core that only cares about space, the core that tries way too hard to be smart and badass, the purple one which is meant to state facts but is just pure self doubt, put downs, and worried thoughts. Its the same fight but tuned differently due to their core programming.
You _destroy_ GLaDOS's cores, so if anything you're _removing_ information from her. That's why destroying the morality core starts the boss fight, you just removed the only thing holding her back. That's why after you destroy the curiosity core she says "I let you survive this long because I was curious about your behavior. Well, you've managed to destroy that part of me."

the sheer amount of Wheatley’s lines is insane and phenomenal. i always wait around at the turret production line and the neurotoxin generator just to hear them. if you wait by the turret line, he’ll eventually come up with the solution for you. so he’s not a moron! usually.
I loved the Wheatley boss so much I went through the effort to hear all of his voice lines. He sounds like a class clown who reached the breaking point, he's still very quippy and jokey, but you can tell that he's abnormally serious than he usually is.
Not me always hearing this line anway because I love all the personality spheres and wanted to hear them all talk as long as possible everytime and always heard Rick say this.
I loved Wheatley. When I was escaping from the lab and he had to hack the door controls and was just hovering and talking about what he was going to try next, I waited for like three minutes before I realized I was supposed to solve the puzzle and find a way out myself. 😂 At some point I realized the game was trolling me for waiting. 😅

Portal (2) came out & launched 12 yrs ago when i was a kid/teenager it's so interesting how people & a fanbase create new "mods" A.I. & voices for this game.
Wheatley also has a funny text, when he says "Better kill yourself now" if you kill yourself he will say "oh... i wasnt expecting this to work..."
