I feel bad because when I was young, my late grandma had a best friend and they went to the same elementary school together, and they brought me to the reunion and I offered her food but I didn't realize she would've died if she touched it.
Just being near gluten now could kill her. She has celiac's disease but it's extremely aggressive. She's 66 or so now and I could've killed her when I was 8 and I had no idea. I'm 21 now and I still feel horrible about it, even though she doesn't hold it against me. :(
