I'm definitely going to steal that ornamentation of "hey- zeuss" the next time I do karaoke. After the applause dies down, I'll give credit to Tara!
This makes my amateur soprano heart so happy! I've both listened to and sung this throughout my life and this one of the most pristine renditions I've ever heard! I often try to add ornamenti and stick to the traditional articulation when possible, but if the Spirit moves me, I've been fortunate to work with music directors that have been able to adapt to any interpretative choices I make within reason. I've mainly sung for weddings and funerals along with cantoring Masses. Love your work, Tara and I agree wholeheartedly with your reaction!
This is my favorite song that I sang for competition when I was in High School. I had a very late voice change and sang this as a soprano at 16. Beautiful song.

You are always so informative all your reaction videos. Would you please go back and do some VOCTAVE videos. It’s been 3 years since you reviewed a Voctave song and they’ve come out with some good ones. Their lullaby album is beautiful. But even some of their Broadway/Movie songs like the “Trolley Song,” Christmas songs like “Where are you Christmas?” or the Charlie Chaplin song “Smile”.

Do you roll your R’s when singing in Latin?
TBH, they should be flipped, not rolled. I know the text of this song, and she flips the R on Maria, but rolls them on the Gratia. There’s no need when there’s only one R present. Double Rs would be rolled. But you don’t really have double Rs in Latin…in Italian they’re everywhere however
