I would actually mount the tv on that wall with a fold-out tv stand so you can fold it to the wall when you're not using it, but when you watch it, you can fold it out to face the couch
This is my favorite one you have done so far, for some reason I like the plants around the TV it kind of gives it it's own secluded little corner, and I like how the plants seem to Anchor it.
Same and because most people spend a lot of time on TV it really brings gs attention to the greenery as not only apart of the space but what they notice more
@@estrellacasias Yes! I almost predict that it would subconsciously cut down on your tv time and prevent getting glued in as the plants would keep you mindful of your surroundings and the time passing. How intuitive, can't wait to try it!
My household has the tv on a rolling tv stand, so it can be adjusted to who or where someone is on the couch, as well as what activity they are using it for. Whether we want it full view for a family movie, facing a specific seat on the rather large corner couch for solo viewing, or closer to the corner of the corner couch for playing video games with friend or family since that’s usually not as many people as a movie and some games necessitate the console being within a certain range for the controllers to work effectively, or farther away from the couch for when you need more space for activities like VR games, such as Beat Saber for instance with people taking turns and watching on as each player plays a song. And since it’s on wheels it can also be rolled back against the wall when we aren’t using it. We can even face it towards the dining room table should the need arise(most of us are multitaskers at heart and sometimes enjoy watching something while doing table related activities like puzzles or crafts or even just paperwork
TV was invented after fang shui. The screen should always be head on, because keeping the head turned for long periods of time blocks the flow of chi in the neck. Also the screen should never be back lit by a bright source of light such as a window, as this causes headaches.
this is more important imo than having your back to a wall. can we stop giving people advice that will cause long term pain for the sake of aesthetics please
@@bearwynnyou can sit on the couch in such a way that you’re still facing it head on - both seats are positioned so that you can lounge with your feet up by nestling into the corner and looking at the tv directly. Bodies can be moved as well as tvs.
I can’t wait the cat make the tv fall down with a simple slap of a paw because the tv is sitting unstably one foot on the counter one foot on a pot... this arrangement just ask to collapse. Also the right corner of the tv is in the way and could easily catch a shoulder or arm while passing pushing the TV set down too.
I've watched a few of your videos and I'm shocked how intutively I've always used these rules. I've never felt good with my back to the entryway / pathway (living rooms) or my feet in front of door (bedroom). I feel always the best with the windows on my side and my head next to the wall :D
I live in a smaller space so I actually can’t have my couch go against a wall bc then I’d either have my back to the front door or there would be no room for the tv. I did turn the couch around to the command position though, so I can now see the room/front door and it kinda creates a barrier wall between the living & dining room, but it’s not in the pathway of the front door to the dining room/kitchen. It looks so much better imo & makes my space feel a lot bigger. I can probably get a long rectangular bookshelf to put behind the couch as well to create even more of a barrier wall.
Really nice. ☆ Although I actually would switch the dining room with the living room, for the benefit of being next to the kitchen then and the living room a bit more cozy/snuggly. 😊
This is true! I hadn’t noticed the energy, but I don’t like people coming up behind me when I’m focussing on something else - now I know the real reason!
This is very helpful, actually. My TV is mainly for guests, or if I'm in the mood for a gaming night/ movie night (rare these days, but it happens). Otherwise, I would rather not even see it. My childhood and up until my mid 20's it seemed that that was all anyone did around the house. These days, clutter and noise are well... They are not for me. Thank you again.
i think it would look better if the tv was on the stand but just angled towards the couch so the back of it was more concealed also it straddling between two tables gives off nervous energy
I agree with Stephanie. The way they camouflaged the tv is genius. After getting a smart phone and having a laptop, I hardly ever turn the tv on any more.
Put the TV on the right-most wall Couch facing the TV Dining room on the left Now the tv isn’t bothered by the kitchen And the dining room and kitchen are better flowing
I would NEVER balance a tv precariously like that on a free-standing stool! Get an L-shaped (custom) low shelf cabinet. Or mount the tv to the wall and have it on am extendable arm attachment.
Wow, you must have gone trending with all these negative comments... 🤦♀️ IMO there's no good option here, either way there are tradeoffs. I really do like how the TV no longer faces the eating area, personally.
The TV straddling 2 different tables would give me endless anxiety tho because what it someone bumps into that smaller one and knocks it to the side and the TV falls down? That thought would be a constant in my mind every time I walked in there. 😬
It's a good angle if you love lying down while watching tv. if you can hammer and drill stuff on the wall, better to use a bracket. That gives you the option to watch from the dining area as a bonus.
Had to do this in my bedroom. I have 3 doors in my room taking up a whole wall, and have to also fit my L-desk in here, so had to tilt the tv in front of my bed. Not my first choice, but it works!
Wall mount so you can see the tv from the couch or dining. I respect that the tv isn't the centerfold of the arrangement, and your back isn't turned away when sitting on the couch
By the way this was a temporary measure when I was at my clients house, he's since bought a Samsung serif tv with legs! Beautiful!
The serif is such a statement piece, I've been interested in one for a while 😂
What if you have massive glass sliding doors as your main entrance?
is it okay if we put the tv just on the wall?
@@liameiliana7899I want to know too

It also prevents glare on the tv screen during the day from the window/sun.
Yesss, it's so practical! What a gamechanger
I would use a wall mount so you can rotate the tv in different angles
This!
I was thinking the same thing
You’d get serious neck strain.
@@markm0000 There are tv wall mounts with extendable features so you can literally pull out the tv in any angle you want.
Not with my neck, I wouldn't.
I think it would look ugly if that plant wasn't behind it... So tell them to make sure that plant doesn't die 😂😂
Yeah the plants are doing wonders for the living room

Only bad energy is the tv itself 🤣
I don’t have a TV for this reason. But on days where I am alone in the house it sure feels bad
A projector is a good compromise. You can hide it above a bookshelf and cover the opposing wall with Digital Image Paint.
Why is it bad? Because it acts as a mirror? Can't we use a cloth to cover it?
@@DS-fp1hh Because it's useless

They also make these beautiful Easels that hold the TV’s which can have wheels so they are moved. RH has them. Cheaper ones too online.
I'd mount it on a retractable wall mount. That way it can "fold right into the wall" (for my Office fans).
