Great Golden Oldie from the past. God, please take me back to those good old days, when life was so simple and love and romance was something to behold with the one you held so dearly in your arms. Memories are made of, that captures the heart, from just listening to these lovely songs
I dont know story how why they break \ just know CASCADES \ via husband my auntie that time they have beautiful sound stereo..akai then listen to cascades long play. I was still young in elementary school that time..9 yrs old ❤
Finally WMG or whoever was blocking it and CZcams have allowed us to hear this wonderful sound of the Cascades. Kudos CZcams and the copyright owner. The soul of a good song knows no earthly boundaries.
" ANGEL ON MY SHOULDER - THE CASCADES " Got an angel on my shoulder Got a penny in my pocket And I found four-leaf clover And I put it in my locket Wished on all the stars above me And I caught the nearest rainbow Gonna find someone to love me Gonna find someone to love Well I tossed a lot o' nickels in a wishing well And saved the fortunes that the fortune cookies tell I've got a lucky penny and a mustard seed But a warm and tender love is all I need And I want a love that lingers And is stronger through and through So I'm gonna cross my fingers That I find a boy to love me true And I'm gonna love him too And I'm gonna love him too
Angel on My Shoulder. It seems to be related to the movie of 1946, but I do not understand it because it is Japanese. But it is a wonderful song. The Cascades is Rhythm Of The Rain (Kanashi Amaoto) It is famous in Japan (even if you are unconscious, you should know the melody of Rhythm Of The Rain).
No, it was written by an American teenager, Shelby Flint, back in the 1950s. She was favorite of Joni Mitchell. Shelby and her husband first heard it on the radio in a department store. She carrying her first baby at the time.
Well I tossed a lot o' nickels in a wishing well And saved the fortunes that the fortune cookies tell I've got a lucky penny and a mustard seed But a warm and tender love is all I need And I want a love that lingers And is stronger through and through So I'm gonna cross my fingers That I find a boy to love me true And I'm gonna love him too And I'm gonna love him too
Got an angel on my shoulder Got a penny in my pocket And I found four-leaf clover And I put it in my locket Wished on all the stars above me And I caught the nearest rainbow Gonna find someone to love me Gonna find someone to love
Wishing the Cascades didn’t break-up. Their songs made the people unite.
Why did they break up?

This is one of my favorites from the fabulous Cascades. But never sure which member is the vocalist.
The lead singer is John Claude Gummoe, and he graduated from the same high school in Cleveland that I graduated from 10 years later..
Still listening 2020 quarantine i love this song 😍

@@harvey1954 Thank you for your reply.
I didn't know the author.
Shelby Flint I'll look into it now.
@@user-oy3rv6wp7d She was 15 when she wrote it.
Wow 😲
Thanks for the lyrics... :-)
wow
I want a love that lingers...
The male version of labelmate Shelby Flint's song.
Where are they now? What happened to them? Is it true they all died in a plane crash? Their songs are good ones.
I’ve read that they didn’t die, they just broke up.
How many people in this band go by Jeff- or can someone please tell me who the person on the far camera left’s name?
Dedicated to Gel, from moody,
Well I tossed a lot o' nickels in a wishing well
And saved the fortunes that the fortune cookies tell
I've got a lucky penny and a mustard seed
But a warm and tender love is all I need
And I want a love that lingers
And is stronger through and through

Gonna find someone to love me
