As much as I hate Adam, as a character he is hilarious and memorable, a great villian
Also his voice is great.
Yea he’s a great villain
"Guitar solo fuck yeah!"
Sold me
I love the symbolism at 22:47. Lucifer’s face just says, “Okay, here we go again,” but in the next scene, when the spears are aimed at Charlie, that’s fear. He’s fine with himself being the target because, as he's the most hated being in all of creation, he’s used to it.
He also spins around Charlie so they’re all aimed at him
I love “Stayed Gone” because right before this Vox was telling Valentino not to go to the hotel to confront Angel Dust and Charlie because it would make them look weak and told Val to do nothing. However as soon as he hears Alastor was back he starts this whole smear campaign that made him look weak and desperate.
Do as I say and not as I do is Vox's motto I guess 😝
My theory for the ducks is that he was fixated on the moment Charlie first laid eyes on one of his creations, the part where she sneaked in while he was working, and so he held on to that memory of her smile despite being estranged for a long time. There's also that line he sings, "I've missed that smile."
Love that 🥲
I forgot where I saw an explanation floating around, it could be just a popular fan theory but: Lucifer mightve always seen himself as an "ugly duckling" since his fall from grace, but he, like his ideas, can possibly bloom into something beautiful like a swan.
There's also a blink-and-you-'ll-miss-it thing where when he hugs her upon meeting again she makes a squeaky noise I believe. Kind of like a rubber duck would.
It's also been suggested that he sees the other angels as swans, and himself as the cast-out 'ugly duckling'.
My theory, is Valentino is based off a Faithful Beauty Moth. A moth that secretes poison. But it's only poisonous to humans when ingested, he's a treacherous horrible person, with an ugly personality. And like the irl moth, he is literal poison. Angel is being emotionally, mentally, and physically poisoned by him. The physical poison is to keep him complacent. It's likely addictive too. back in the poison sequence in episode 4. Valentino's saliva is red. The smoke from his cigar is also red. When he smoked from Angel's cigarette (that had white smoke), he exhaled his red smoke. Either his saliva makes the smoke, or he makes the smoke itself. When he blows the smoke in his face, he gets dizzy, almost smiling. Like he's been drugged. at the end of the Poison sequence once you wipe your tears. As Angel goes into his room/ going to the balcony, you see pink/ red stuff coming from his mouth. Like he's just eaten something. Angel isn't just sick of his poisonous life. He's also sick from literal poison. Val is the poison.
that's an interesting theory.
@@katiebonser9712 might be more than just a theory. after all, the Vee's actively sell a "love potion". I do think he is based off a poison moth, and he uses the powers he gained in hell to drug sinners into taking deals with him and keep them under his thumb. it wouldn't shock me if theres been flat out commentary from the staff saying all this is a fact.
Very cool theory 😀🤩
More than anything makes me cry every time 😭this song is for the people who have daddy issues
It’s also a parody of another church song by the same name all about “loving Jesus more than anything” if memory serves
It’s a song for parents. I know I would do anything for my boys. I’m grateful they’re my sons.
Bethany’s impersonation of Charlie singing Happy Day in hell was actually spot on!!!
Thanks 😊 🙏
AGREED!❤❤❤
Hello favorite songs from this series:
- Hell is forever
- Stayed gone
- Out for Love
- Poison
- The show must go on (finale)
- You didn’t know
Same also ready for this
@@emilnordlund5708was about to say! Ready for this not being on there was a crime 😔
Ready for this is also a very good one
I just love how I predicted that Bethany would hate Adam but Ken would love him 😂
One of my favorite details in "You didn't know" is after Emily finds out about the exterminations and she stands up to Sara an eye opens up on her halo.
great catch oh wow
it's a partial transition back to her 'true' form we saw for a few frames before Emily and Sera changed into a more humanoid form.
same as when charlie gets flustered and some of her demonic attributes appear. Sera has a bit later where some more of her eyes manifest on her dress and wings.
@@MarkoDash true but I also think it's an animation detail of an "eye opening" moment for her. Both could be true
Cool detail! Hadn't noticed that 😀
a lot of people dislike welcome to heaven
The moans are too much for them
Its not that I dislike it, but its definitely one of the weaker songs in comparison to the likes of hells greatest dad and stayed gone it doesn't add up
It's so.... bland to me
It's so.... bland to me
@@ManiacalBlueberry you commented twice
If you hate the villain, the actor did a great job! I remember going to the Beauty and the Beast musical on Broadway, and no one really applauded for the actor who played Gaston. That’s because he was such an excellent bad guy that everyone hated him! But a great villain! So kudos to Alex Brightman for playing Adam! Who was also Sir Pentious!
Yup. Adam was a great villain. Someone you love to hate. And also has a kick-ass song 😎🤟
5:15 Clap your hands guys 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
👏👏👏👏👏👏
YES!!
Poison hits so hard for me mostly due to how realistic it is in portraying abusive relationships.
The highs can be really, really high, by holy crud are the lows also low and worst of all, the abuser makes it feel like the lows are low because of you. If that thought sinks in, it becomes a truly dark pit.
For me personally, the "More Than Anything" both versions with Charlie / Lucifer and Charlie / Vaggie are both great, but especially the kiss at the end with Vaggie makes it soooo great.
I gasped out loud when I heard poison so low lmao but I completely understand the themes in that song can be hard to hear more than once it is quite graphic but a great song nether the less!😄 I would love to see you guys do more of these tierlists, its really interesting to hear your perspectives👍🏽
yeah we knew it would be controversial haha, which is why we stressed so many times that it was a favorites list and not a best song list because that song is great. It's just too good at conveying the feeling of Angel 😱😢
Carmilla is voiced by Daphne Rubin-Vega. She’s a powerhouse actress who was the original Mimi in the stage production of Rent. You should definitely listen to her version of Out Tonight from it.
When someone told us that was her it was crazy but makes sense. Have heard her in rent and she is simply phenomenal! 🤩
Funny thing. God probably doesn't know about the extermination in Hell, because Sera herself said it was a hard decision for her.
It's funny how alot of ppl think she and by extension heaven enjoy extermination when it's made very clear only adam , the executioners and Sera even know about them
The look in the lady's eyes while watching poision tho, Angels life is just depressing 🙏
Ken acting like Adam’s backup singer was the best part of the video imo
Adam and Lute voices are damn powerful.
Love the ranking and you guys sharing your thoughts on your favs! I listen to this entire sountrack so often, thank you again for this vid!
Our pleasure. We listen to these songs constantly since seeing the show 🤩
Vaggie is actually average hight. Charlie is around 6ft, Angel, Adam, Valantino, Zestial, and Sera are just really really tall.
Im being honest poison makes me SOB 😭
I think another reason why Vaggie looks so short is that if i remember correctly Charlie's height is about 6ft or a bit above
She's 6'5 I think
This is my ranking
1. H is forever
2. Loser Baby
3. Respectless
4. More than anything
5. Poison
6. Whatever it takes
7. H greatest dad
8. Finale

I love the videos! Keep it up❤
Also I Love bethanys singing voice 😍
Aww. Thanks so much 😊🤗
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 💕💕 id love to hear you sing more 💕
I find that "Out for Love" could have easily been one of my favorite songs if it weren't for the lyrics. The beat and Daphnes voice are just incredible, which is why every song with her is pretty much my favorite, but the way this song was written just felt very cheap and corny. I get that Carmilla is all about protecting your loved ones and this song probably doesn't need to be to impactful for pacing reasons, but then the beat is so damn catchy that I am kinda disappointed about these almost throw away lines in the lyrics.
Also I wish Lute had more lines. I really like her female rock voice. I am looking forward to hopefully hearing more from her in the next season.
Yah the average degenerate won't like the lyrics but I love the beat
honestly, what knocked out for love out of my top 5 into the middle tier is entirely because of the fact it doesn't feel like the song was necessary to begin with. in "Whatever it takes" they pointed out how Vaggies goal already was to protect and take the blows for Charlie. how that doesn't already lead to her fighting for love for her to the point we needed Carmilla to sing this to her can only even work in the context of the story is the Heaven situation fallout, but I don't think that shook Vaggies love for Charlie even slightly. so there was no "out for blood" here. Maybe im biased when it comes to Vaggie, but the only song that felt right for me from both her character and the pacing itself was the reprisal of more than anything, but even thats let down by being a direct reminder of a song I enjoy more.
You are not the only one who enjoys Lute, give me more of that singing voice!
@DarkCT to be fair many of the songs had no reason to exist (when it comes to plot relevance) like Whatever It Takes Out For Love It Starts With Sorry Welcome To Heaven and even some fan favorites like Respectless Ready For This and even Loser Baby
(maybe ready for this and out for love since Charlie is trying to recruit the cannibals and Out For Love sine Vaggie gets her wings back at the end of the song I guess)
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od depends on how you look at singing for your first point. in a musical I was told the trope is if when words aren't enough, singing comes next. in the context of a musical most of those does have some form of a reason to exist. my issue with out for love is that i saw nothing about her implying she wasn't out for protecting charlie at all costs anyway, especially with prior songs indicated she wanted to be "her armor". Vaggie to me just does not feel right in most of her songs. I really enjoyed out for love on first listen, but it feels like a song that works better for someone else than her to me now.
With ones you mentioned there was a story beat they keyed into plotwise. who took out the angel, gaining the knowledge for a fight, Pentious being accepted by someone, showing us a new land, giving an idea of how the Vees counter the older levers of power, Charlie building her confidence and collecting the backing to fight off the angels, and Husk saving a spiraling Angel and building a bridge to take on their similar situations together.
My personal rank:
1. More than anything
2. Stayed Gone
3. Loser baby
4. Hell's greatest dad
5. Poison
6. Hell is forever
7. You didn't know
8. Happy day in hell
9. Respectless
10. Finale
11. Whatever it takes
12. Ready for this
13. Out for love
14. More than anything reprise
15. Welcome to heaven
16. It stars with sorry
Same top 4 but in a different order
1 Loser Baby
2 More Than Anything
3 Stayed Gone
4 Hell's Greatest Dad
Fun fact regarding the VA behind Vaggie: Stephanie Beatriz is also the voice behind Mirabell Madrigal from Disney's Encanto. Big difference in characters there, but the singing voice sounds very similar between both.
Best Songs For Me:
More Than Anything
Whatever it Takes
Poison
You Didn't Know
Loser, Baby
Probably the same for me
WHATEVER IT Takes Mentioned!! MY Favourite. 😭
Yasssss im pumped for thissss
You guys sing very well!!
10:00 I think it's both, Vaggie is short, but Charlie is also rather tall due to her mother (as her Dad's a short king himself)
😎👍🙂
I believe the voice actress of vaggy is the same voice actress for Maribel in encanto.
My Personal Ranking:
1. Hell’s Greastest Dad
2. You Didn’t Know
3. Welcome To Heaven
4. Loser Baby
5. Hell Is Forever
6. Respect less
7. Poison
8. More Than Anything
9. Happy Day In Hell
10. Whatever It Takes
11. Stayed Gone
12. Out For Love
13. Finale
14. Ready For This
15. It’s Start With Sorry
16. More Than Anything Reprise
The way you two go off witht he music is marvelous
Now that I've listened to all the songs again with you... it's not that easy, because not a single song is badly made, badly sung or badly written... they all have their place, their meaning and trigger emotions, which is what music is supposed to do.
My top 5 would be.
5. Poison. (Autotune in it but the visuals and how Angel feels make it a little less enjoyble... you have to look away but you can't )
4. Happy Day in Hell. (The beautiful Erica Henningsen is simply fantastic)
3. Stayed Gone - (Vox is so jealous of Alastor and has a huge hate-boner for him which also results into love-hate relationship, just like Vegeta and Goku... maybe who knows what the future holds)
2. more then anything ... (It's incredibly beautiful and also made me cry a lot the first time because it made me realize how much I miss my dad)
1. out for love. (Because Vaggie and I are very similar and she fights on despite her lies and disappointment towards Charlie... she is loyal to the death. And that makes me proud... even though I still don't know how she got her wings back....
Honorable mentions...
Hell is forever cause "Guitar solo F*CK YEAH!"
Respectless cause Velvette is so over the top, its likeable again.
Ready for this cause this old kind of music is just charming.
And Loser Baby of course.. cause Ketih David singing is harmony
Great list, Sharky! Thanks for sharing and giving us some of your reasons as to why you like them as well 😀
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 That's my destiny. Thank you dears.
Listening to their songs together, and hearing you refer to one as a princess and the other as a queen, I find myself wondering again if Vaggie could be Carmilla’s daughter. If you think about it, it actually makes sense. Imagine Vaggie lived just enough more virtuously that, when whatever killed her, Carmilla, and her sisters happened, she went to heaven while her mother and sisters went to hell. Her feeling more at home in hell, and that it’s where people who understand her are, would make perfect sense if she lived her mortal life raised and surrounded by sinners. It could explain both her mercy and the brutality Adam mentioned. Brutality because of anger over the things that she saw or experienced in life, and the mercy because they’d still be the sort of people she knew, and she could understand and empathize with them in a way most angels couldn’t.
It would also fit wonderfully with how she and Carmilla seem to be so much on the same wavelength, both in “Whatever It Takes” and in other things. And, while Carmilla’s protectiveness towards her daughters is already understandable, if she was only able to find two of her three children after dying, it makes even more sense. As for why she doesn’t recognize Vaggie. Well, aside from the obvious fact that people’s appearances change after death, we know Adam renamed her so that would add a layer of confusion. As far as Vaggie not recognizing Carmilla goes, well, I’m suspicious as heck about what actually goes on in heaven so I’m willing to accept that there’s a reason and we just don’t know it yet. Probably something specifically designed to stop exorcists from having a crisis if they run into a family member in hell during an extermination.
But yeah, there’s just so much symmetry between those two that would work perfectly for a mother daughter relationship. Vaggie climbs to one of the top spots in the exorcists while Carmilla rose to become an overlord. In both their songs, Vaggie has the same attitude as Carmilla, and even sings the same words about protecting and taking care of those she loves in whatever it takes. That could just be a song thing, but it could also be the result of having been raised by Carmilla. And of course there's the way they always keep getting paired up in songs. Then there's the way they both speak Spanish. On it's own that means nothing of course, but the show makes a point of both of them speaking it, while everyone else always speaks English, so with the rest of the evidence, it seems like one more hint.
Honestly, I’m really hoping this is the case. Charlie has a loving father in Lucifer, but Vaggie really doesn’t have anyone other than Charlie. It would be great if Vaggie ended up having a mom like Carmilla.
Also, I just wanted to say I loved all your reaction to the show. I had a great time watching them, and I'm looking forward to seeing you react to season two when it comes out.
What's your favorite Hazbin Hotel song?
Me: Yes.
Steve Carell likes Hazbin Hotel, my life is complete 😂
That's what she said 😜
Absolutely. Fantastic lists. You guys just hurt me a bit with poison, so low.
But in my opinion, every single one of these songs are fantastic, so no matter how you put the rankings for me, it's like every song deserves. The top Five❤❤
Notice how dazzle was the sacrificial lamb and he died in the battle with the angels in episode eight
I love that the anecdote for Poison is Keith David calling you a loser.
Keith David is such an awesome actor
😂 well said
I am not saying that I am obsessed with the show...
But I noticed that I could "sing" along to all of those songs from memory....
nice 👏 😊
Poison has got to be my favorite song in Hazbin Hotel and I like how Angel Dust's voice actor sings it!
My personal ranking (Not counting pilot or Addict)
1: More than Anything
2: Stayed Gone
3: Poison
4: Loser, Baby
5: Whatever it Takes
6: Ready for This
7: Hell's Greatest Dad
8: You Didn't Know
9: Finale
10: Hell is Forever
11: Respectless
12: Out for Love
13: A Happy Day in Hell
14: It Starts with Sorry
15: Welcome to Heaven
16: More than Anything (Reprise)
Here is my list for giggles
16. Welcome to Heaven- I dont feel the need to explain. Everyone kind of agrees. Ill give my bias in that shorter songs that dont feel impactful will be a trend.
15. Poison- This one is mostly just not my kind of music. Song is great in the show but I feel no want to listen outside of it. Im less hard on it these days but I dont feel inclined to change its position.
14. It starts with sorry- This song has so much more impact after the series is over but its held back by its length. Its a lovely listen but I dont have too much to say about it.
13. More than Anything (Reprise)- New song, old problem. Its short. It doesnt have the impact of More than Anything (more bias shown). Doesnt matter how much I love our girls.
12. Happy Day in Hell- This is the absolute standard for this show and I love it. It being number 12 is no disregard to its quality but a show of force to how good this soundtrack is. Its the perfect "How can I pitch this show in 3 minutes?" kind of song and its perfect.
11. You didnt know- I feel like this song to me is what Ready for This was to you two. Its a wonderful ensemble song with a ton of moving parts, amazing callbacks, musical shifts depending on who is singing and all the belles and whistles of a showstopper. Once the Hell is Forever reprise is over I feel like the song loses all steam. There was too much revealed in that last minute or so and the Vaggie reveal was a tad overboard for me.
10. Out for Love- Ok Top 10 time. Carmilla is love and Carmilla is life. Any song where she sings is S tier by default I will not take any other blasphemy. I dont make the rules its just a fact. The only thing holding the song back is its length and its repetetive nature. Carmilla carries.
9. Hell is Forever- Song is dope, what else is there to say. Its amazing setup for our antagonist in the season, its a stark counter to Happy Day in Hell, and it kicks all the ass all the time. We are getting to songs without flaws and are only below other songs because they arent as good as others.
8. Respectless- Duets are nice. Song battles are better. Here we have the first in a trio of song battles that all are amazing. To me the conflicting musical styles carry this one. Oh and Carmilla. Sadly this is the least amount of her we get but Velvetts part is no slouch. Good shit.
7. Hells Greatest Dad- I listen to this song more than is reasonable. Something about Lucifers voice just gets me. The only reason its this low is because Alastor and Mimzy had to eat Lucys screen time.
6. Stayed Gone- You ever notice how all of Alastors songs are taking over other peoples songs? Thats fun. This song is perfection in introducing this rivalry. Vox picks a fight he wasnt prepared for and faces the consequences. Music is great, singing is great, and the ending is jawdropping.
5. Whatever it takes- Carmilla hits the Top 10 and the Top 5. She is the only minor character to have a song this high but she absolutely kills it. Some of her lines in this song slay me on every listen. Its such an impactful song. And when the duet hits *chefs kiss*. Also after the Vaggie reveal it has so much more weight. Love that.
4. The Show Must Go On- Can we talk about how no one uses this songs actual name? Its literally on Amazon Primes channel. Perfect is the only word for this song. Perfect wrap up for the season, perfect callback to the opening number, perfect tease for the next season all wrapped up in the last few minutes of the season. Its perfect. The top 3 are all bias.
3. Loser Baby- I dont have too much to say about this one and I dont think anyone will mind. Its good and I love it with all my heart. Its wonderful catharsis after episode 4 and thats all I feel after listening to it. Feel good vibes.
2. Ready For This- This song is such a vibe. I love what it means for Charlie taking charge for once and her using her charisma that she definitely has. The song is wonderful and I find myself coming back to it near daily. I need to stop singing about canibals under my breath in public places. Its a real problem.
1. More Than Anything- Its. So. Good. I love Charlie. Shes my favorite character in the show. So seeing Lucifer finally see and understand his daughter for the first time just tugs at my heart. It has so much impact and the two vocal powerhouses of Charlie and Lucifer slay this amazing song.
WHATEVER IT TAKES AT 5TH!!! 🎉
My top six would have to be:
1: More than anything
2: You didn't know
3: The show must go on (finale)
4: Ready for this
5: Hell is forever
6: Happy day in hell
After that the order gets muddied for me. Stayed gone and Hells greatest dad are tied for the #7 spot for me, and so on.
I'm also in complete agreement that Carmilla's voice is absolutely incredible! It's so beautiful, full of emotion and strong.
One final thing - a detail I wish this video kept in was Niffty's reaction after It starts with sorry. It directly references the song itself, and is one of her adorable moments. It also gives good foreshadowing.
The voice actress of Carmilla and Veggie work toguether in other movie call In the Heights... there they are Camila and Claudia, the Saloon Ladies and they sound amazing. I recomend the movie, is great.
Carmilla´s actress also apear on Tick tick boom and Vaggie´s is one of the protagonist in Twisted Metal and the flower sister in Encanto.
Vaggie's actress is Mirabel, the protagonist in Encanto, not the flower girl sister
@@sabribrus you are right

1. Out For Love
2. Respectless

5. Finale "The Show Must Go On"
More than anything, Hells Greatest Dad, Poison are my top three. Heaven's a Lie, Stayed Gone, Respectless, and Whatever It Takes are all close runner-ups.

13: Poison
12: Finale
11: Stayed Gone
10: More Than Anything (Reprise)
9: Hells Greatest Dad
8: Ready For This
7: Out For Love
6: More Than Anything
5: Loser Baby
4: Whatever It Takes
3: Happy Day In Hell
2: You Didn’t Know
1: It Starts With Sorry
Reasons:
Welcome To Heaven: Its the weakest. Like how heaven looks and sera and emily's parts but besides that its meh.
Respectless: Just better songs. I don't hate anything about it. Their are just others that are way better.
Hell Is Forever: Adams part was good. But its just not my type of music.
Poison: A banger, but again just not my type or favorite music. Angel was amazing though.
Finale: Great ending song, very entertaining to watch and listen too.
Stayed Gone: Banger! Vox's part is great and alastor added made it more interesting and showed the dynamic between the two.
More Than Anything (Reprise): I love emotional songs and this one was no different. It doesn't matter how short it is too me.
Hells Greatest Dad: A bop and really funny to watch and listen to. Lucifer is great and so is alastor.
Ready For This: Charlie and the cannibals were great. But alastor and rosie were amazing!
Out For Love: Has always been one of my favorites. Love Carmilas voice and the meaning of the song.
More Than Anything: I loved the emotional song is this between a father and a daughter. Lucifer was great and Charlie was great too!
Loser Baby: AMAZING! Angel and Husk's relationship is great! The music is amazing too!
Whatever It Takes: I love slow paced music and emotional. This song does just that. I enjoyed Carmilla and Vaggies duet. It was so nice.
Happy Day In Hell: I don't know what it is but Charlies voice is absolutely STUNNING in this song. Those high notes were crazy! Also loved the interactions with hell people + Angel and Vaggie.
You Didn't Know: The voices fit perfectly, good song to sing to by yourself or with friends, a bop, Sera is great, Emily and Charlie are amazing, Vaggie is good, matching with Charlie and Lute and Adam were just STUNNING.
It Starts With Sorry: Love emotional songs, this does the job! Sir Pentious is absolutely hilarious and amazing at the same time. The reaction and voices of Angel and Vaggie are great! But Charlie was absolutely STUNNING just like in Happy Day In Hell her voice shines here.
It was such a great analysis of these songs! And don't worry about the ranking list, tastes are subjectives 😁
To me, the songs I keep listening are Hell is forever, You didn't know, Respectless, Whatever it takes.
Also, I don't know if you know it, but there's others songs that are not in the show but on youtube official hazbin hotel channel (the songs aired way before the official show on prime):
- Addict (Angel's point of view about his situation and a duet with Cherri Bomb), a pump song that hook you up 🔥💣
- L'enfer est bon (it's in french, but I don't know if there's english version of it), it's about chaggie, a sweet and charming song 😊
- Nymphomediatik (in french too, a second song about Angel)
- Insane, a song about Alastor, also a bop 🔥
We've seen some of those songs. We did a reaction for Addict for sure. But Insane would be a fun one to check out 😀
My favorite ones are:
You didn't know
Hell is Forever
Respectless
Hell's greatest dad
Poison
More than anything
This is one of those shows where ill even check the songs in other languages for fun, just to hear how they flow. so lets see...
My top 5 are...
5- The hardest one of the 5 to pin down precisely for me by far here. I'm going to go with Poison, and I didn't think id say that. in context and on screen the songs vicious. but when i sit down and think of all the competition ups for the 5th slot.... this is the one i know i could watch the most in context, and also jam into a radio and just listen to.
4- You didn't Know. I rate this because of the amount of turns this song takes. It was such a hard act to follow for any song after this when if a song is a boss fight, this is probably the biggest one. I also have an obvious Bias for Adam and Lute, so Lute getting her only singing spot thusfar in it, leading into a reminder of Hell is forever was awesome. it suffers for a radio ride, but it's in context tops it.
3- Loser, Baby. amazing palette cleanser to the episode, but also one that sticks with me. with or without the full context, this is just such a good uplifter. ive even used it when im down.
2- Stayed Gone. Gimme villain songs. all of them. this one is great to the point it's one of my most listened to songs over the last few months. Vox and Alastor just tear up the whole town essentially. and i know people love Alator's part, but I've been working to memorize Vox's exact speed of dialogue during his on TV section.
1- Hell is Forever, with how ive described myself before, was this ever in doubt? *AIR GUITAR SOLO* song just rocks as a track on a radio, but on screen its even better! Lute won me over after repeat viewings by how she and Adam clearly back each other up just through this song along.
seriously, that #5 was rough to pick, because as i thought about it, there was no clear losers or winners for me on my edges at a fast rate. I was so sure i was going to pick Respectless, out for Love, or even Ready for this over Poison, but respectless, even being a villain song, lacks staying power for me. out for love is amazing as a song in theory, but I feel like the songs relating to Vaggie are some of my actually disliked ones due to how her pacing and set up just feel the most off to me, and Vaggie especially then and after whatever it takes had already clarified she fights for charlie, so the song felt utterly lost in context. Ready for This is one of my favorite songs on the album if i check out other language versions but theres enough to keep it from the 5th slot in itself.
I dont usually seek out Welcome to Heaven unless it's in-episode (or a satirical cover,) like with Sorry & Respectless. Mostly a time and place mood when I seek songs
What a nice lineup, i hope we get more good Villain Songs.
Speaking of which, how about reacting to joshscorcher’s Top Ten Non-Disney Movie Villain Songs at some point?
Alastor's beef with Lucifer is probably going to tie into the nature of his 'deal' and why he's helping Charlie in the first place despite not believing in her at all. He also knows that he is way, WAY below Lucifer in terms of strength and power, so he attacks emotionally instead of physically, playing on Lucifer's depression and isolation from his daughter. He's basically saying 'see how useless of a father you are when your daughter likes me better?'
My Personal Rank:
1: More Than Anything
2: Hell's Greatest Dad
3: Poison
4: You Didn't Know
5: Finale
6: Out For Love
7: Respectless
8: Hell Is Forever
9: Loser, Baby
10: Happy Day In Hell
11: Stayed Gone
12: More Than Anything(Reprise)
13: Ready For This
14: Whatever It Takes
15: Its Starts With Sorry
16: Welcome To Heaven
Probably a Dead give away what my favorite Episode is😂😅

3:12 those pipesss thoooooo😳 gurlll🩷🫶🏻😌
and please tell me you guys will be watching Helluva Boss next ughhh it’s so good too😩🖤
( and it has songs too which are bangers as well!!🤌🏻)
edit 1:12:04 yep now I NEED a cover from you girl🥲🩷🫶🏻 your voice is beautiful
I feel like I need to White Knight for Ready for This on videos like this. I adore that song with my entire being. Its top 3 for me. The bombastic production, the visual gags, Charlie and Alastor being amazing, plus how important it is for Charlie herself. I love the song and In constantly catching myself singing about the flesh buffet realizing Im at work or something and should stop being so weird. Its so catchy and I love it.
Love all the music there just bangers bangers bangers
He'll is forever is definitely my favorite so good man
16 More than Anything Reprise (Way too short)
15 Welcome to Heaven (Fun but not deep)
14 It starts with sorry (Sweet but much better songs)
13 Out for Love (Feels odd Telling Vaggy to love when she clearly already does)
12 Whatever it Takes (Weaker of the Good songs)
11 Happy day in Hell (Good song, but too many great ones to be higher)
10 Hell's greatest Dad (Fun bop but not super relevant)
9 Respectless (Fantastic song but trendy lingo such as "haahtag" and "trending" and "swiping right" puts me off)
8 Stayed Gone (Fantastic rival song)
7 Ready for this (Fun AND inspirational a great mix)
6 Hell is Forever (Hate you Adam, but I can't deny that you rock)
5 Poison (Hits me deep in the feels)
4 Loser Baby (Hits hard and even more so post Poison)
3 More than Anything (Too sweet to be lower, all the feels)
2 Finally (This feels like a perfect snapshot of the whole show)
1 You didn't Know (The stakes, the drama, shoving Adam's stupid song back in his stupid face. It just has everything)
5:06 was that love hand gesture🤟🏻 intentional for was it supposed to be a rock hand gesture🤘🏻
Truthfully speaking I can see how Carmilla is a favorite character she’s a mother protecting her family and supporting an entire community
Thinking about it Charlie almost counts as a Disney Princess
I know season 2 isn’t finished yet but Would you rate season one and two (so far) of helluva boss?
Loser is such a great song cause of its primary singer, Keith muther fucking David. The guy has some of the most amazing actting chops. From the most serious straight forward roles to absolutely goofy and absurd roles, including having to do musical numbers.
Bro like haaaa😮💨
In poison
The whole deal between Alastor and Lucifer is simply that Lucifer dislikes some other man being near his daughter, possibly usurping him as a father/father figure. Alastor, knowing Lucifer is faaaar more powerful then he, is simply being petty and making it a point to be as close to Charlie as possible, telling her everything she wants to hear, for no other reason then to piss off Lucifer
Hi guys! You've metioned several times, that most of the songs feel like it belongs on the stage, on the Broadway. Well, I'm sure, that your viewers commented before, that all the voices (both singing and dubbing) of the show are mostly professional Broadway musical stars.)
You telling Bethany to sing it out because she already hums along melt my heart 😢❤ relationship goals
I can tell why so many people put Poison in first place, since it describes abusive relationships with your lover, your parent, friends or anything and many can relate.
However I'm coming from the place where Loser baby is placed 1rst. My mind was stuck in a dark place for a bunch of years really during my university time and I sorta got lost just like angel in self sorrow and absorption that the song loser baby was such a fresh take on "the hell you self pity yourself about? Suck it up, we all living in the same shit sandwich". It was such a fresh take on stuff like depression and self hatred and how every one of us struggles with their own shit that it made me smile. Especially the "and you think that makes you unique? Get outta here, man". This really describes everything, like we get so self absorbed in our problems that we fail to see that others struggle too and fight their own battles. It was such a refreshing take on this problem.
Just so you know, since questioned Angel's height during 'It start's with sorry', a lot of Sinners are giant. The one's with officially given heights are:
Valentino: 10'
Angel Dust: 8'
Alastor (and also Vox): 7'
Charlie: 6'6"
Lucifer: 5'2"
given that Vaggie is shown as slightly smaller than Lucifer, most guess she is around 5'
Hell is forever is soo easy to change up
It would be so cool to see you guys react to Centaurworld. The main character is voiced by the same voice as Nifty but she gets to do a lot more singing. The plot has a similar trajectory as Hazbin, where it has a consistent vein of irreverent comedy wrapped around thought-provoking adult issues, as well as 2 original songs per episode that are also rank-worthy on their own.
Edit: I totally get what Bethany means about Poison. I'm a music therapist and I hate Surface Pressure from Encanto because it's too catchy and kids just bop to it and it took me quite a bit of practice to not cry when listening/performing it, much less smile or turn it into some intervention.
Btw Fucking Alex Brightman, over the entire Hazbin Hotel / Helluva Boss Univers, my 2 favorite songs,
Hell is Forever and 2 Minutes Notice, are BOTH sang by him, but as different characters O_O
In the first 4 episodes that were released, it was Poison(which I heard on Viv's channel before the first Ep.), Hell is Forever, and Respectless vying for 1st..but after all 8 were out, it goes Poison and Out For Love in 1st, with Hell is Forever and Loser, baby in 2nd, and Hell's Greatest Dad and HellbIs forever in 3rd XD
Like out of all 16 songs, 6 of them are fighting with first, second, and third XD
You Didn't Know stays in my head a lot though, even though it's just Lute's part whenever I'm not thinking of anything XD so I'll give it a very, very close 4th XD
My fav would have to be Respectless. It's rather short, but i prefer that over a song that repeats itself too much.
Also learned I like Bethanys' singing today
My favourite songs
1. Stayed Gone
2. Loser, baby
3. More than anything
4. Out for love
5. Respectless
6. Poison
7. Hell is forever
8. Show must go on (Finale). First and second place are equal for me. Another songs are not my piece of cake
I love Lucifers song I even is working on a parody involving me my dark humor and being misunderstood and not given a chance to explain and share your ideas (even if silly dumb and edgy XD) yeah I can relate to multiple characters ironically, my friend explorer blaze also loves hazbin hotel and these songs XD
7:15 But he should've stayed away 😂😂😂
21:04 i understand that reference
Love all the songs. What about the songs from the Pilot there are 3 somgs.
i can't blame y'all for not saying anything during the song poison. even though i have watched it so many times it's still the only song capable of making me feel uncomfortable in many ways. it's hard to watch knowing what it means.
I have Poison pretty low on my list, mostly because I think it's not as good as Addict, which it has a lot of overlap with. I think Out For Love is okay, but I prefer variety in lyrics more than repetition.
I would love if you guys reacted to some hazbin hotel songs from MilkkyMelodies she is very talented and her songs are amazing just to start do hell is forever (Lute version) and Stayed Gone (Lute and Lilith) of course there are more, but I’d start with those
No offense taken to any of these takes. Me personally as a fan of the material, I don't see any song of the series as "bad" and anything at the bottom of the tier list is just "least good."
And sadly agree with the length of certain songs. I'd personally put the More than Anything reprise and Starts with Sorry, arguably controversially, over songs like Ready for This and even Whatever It Takes because both of those songs legit made me feel. Whether it's the hindsight of Starts with Sorry hitting different with how Pentious' story ends or just the line "And in the end, if it's only me you saved" in the reprise, those alone nearly made me tear up. And as well performed and in depth some songs are, like Bethany, I value sticking power whether it's catchiness or emotions.
That said, Hell's Greatest Dad is my favorite song in the series by a good margin. It's so much fun, so catchy, the closest thing to a full Alastor song, with incredible* use of visuals...as someone whose favorite Disney film and one of my favorite movies in general ever is Aladdin, the Hell equivalent of two Genies having a showtoons fight is amazing. Imo it's Stayed Gone but strictly better.
I just realized that the two Adams you guys hated are dead lol.
Adam from RWBY and Adam from Hazbin Hotel
Johnny let him keep the violin in the end.
I also really hope that Alastor isn't the final villain.. but I think he sang in the final song of "Friends" not minions or tools or something.. he changes, just as characters have changed over time because of Goku. ..
I think that in the end there will be a global threat to heaven and hell... and Alastor will first betray the hotel to get an advantage, but he will feel bad about it and end up being the ace up his sleeve... and thereby redeem yourself
And in the end when hopefully Lilith and Lucifer will be together again... or as I believe they will sacrifice themselves and God themselves to save everyone and so a completely new concept of the "afterlive" will emerge...
Think of the end of Star Wars Episode 6... and imagine Charlie looking around the corner and there waiting Lilith, Lucifer, Sir Pentious and then Alastor in heaven, with a white suit and a real (not demonic) grin Charlie...
Obviously Alastor won't be the final villain he literally said that he cares for the people in the hotel
The lyrics of Poison really got them in full silent.😞
Hell is forever the Best song for the best human-angel if the haven
Alister has some kind beef with Lucifer. Probably in relation to him being gone for seven years and his wife disappearing (into heaven) at the same time. Presumably, she backstabbed him somehow so he is now getting close to Charlie for his plans for revenge and Lucifer he just hates by extension.
Lucifer hates Alister because he is a creepy old man who seems friendly on the outside but is very touchy-feely with his Daughter whom he wants to "shelter and adore more than anything"
He is the King Of Hell after all, He if anyone would know sinners shouldn't be easily trusted.
Trying to use relevant terms but would you all trust your tiny pupper around a large, snarling Dobermann?
You two should check out the Fallout series, it’s really damn good
