My top 5 is poison hell is forever hell Greatest dad loser baby addict bonus last song show must go on i think when they rebuild the hotel i love this show i listen to songs evry day. Yes can you mabey watch helluva boss and molly mcgee and the ghost also Great musik show ❤😂😅
My personal favorite (and the one stuck in my head) is probably More Than Anything
"More than Anything" hits me so hard on my daddy issues 😢
Fun reminder that "hell is forever" is technically Christian rock
I knew it! I got youth pastor vibes from it.
Lmaooo that makes me like it even more

@@Ashera5469 every show and its own pacing
Hazbin Hotel: what woke series want to be, but most failed.
It's tough to argue and bicker about it being woke or not woke (it is 100%) when a show is ACTUALLY good. I mean there's literally a bisexual girl in a relationship with a lesbian, helped by an asexual, a gay twink, a pansexual furry a...whatever sir Pentious is all going against the most heterosexual man ever, literally THE white cis hetero male by definition and despite it you don't hear anyone losing their shit because "wOkE pRoPagAnDa", simply because the show is actually so good you can't help but liking it. Or at least not hating it.
@@SilentKillerPrinceYes ! And those who hate the series don’t hate it because it’s « woke » but because of valid critiscm (most of the time) like the pacing !
This is definitely not an excuse for me to watch the entire hazbin hotel soundtrack again

"Oh, it's a sad one?" Sir, this is Jeremy Jordan. You absolutely do not cast him and NOT give him a heartfelt ballad. That is his wheelhouse, and he owns it, every time.
I mean he never really got a ballad in tangled? Unless I just don't understand my music stuff (very possible haha)
It’s super heartfelt how his character cheated on his wife in The Last Five Years
@@PelafinaLievre ayo spoilers lmao I was planning on watching that
@@sprinkles06 The musical premiered in 2001.
@@PelafinaLievre I am aware. :) still planned on watching it though.
A fun detail I noticed is that in Finale Husk immediately stops being happy the moment Alastor comes back, realizing that he's not dead and still owns him
I saw that after haha. Cracks me up
Also,if you watch Angel, Angel is watching Husk's reaction to give cues on how to respond. He only greets alastor after husk does
Yea Lucifer too
@Kerma528 I don't think Angel Dust actually knows that it's Alastor who owns Husk's soul. Otherwise, I doubt he'd have smiled.
Is Alastor better or worse than Val in terms of how they treat Angel/Husk?
Alastor in finale, you can tell he is having an episode of sorts, seeing him panic without his poker face smile is truly something.
He’s also horrified both at how close he came to dying (again) and that if he did he would been thought of as a hero making a sacrifice (like Sir Pentious) which he would never want to be known as.
@@happypasta6 I think he was more worried about the fact that he nearly did sacrifice himself without thinking to much about it and that Charlie and the crew is actually growing on him. I think he was like "Oh shit I nearly did get myself killed for them".

Alastor: whose been here since day one?

She’s just standing there , menacingly
Cause vaggie was actually here since day one IMAOO
Oh seems i misunderstood the song 😂 i thought it was about Luci being in hell since day one and then Alastor came just for few days or weeks and did everything better and seems like a better dad in that short time. Oopsie i really have level up speaking english
I love how when you had that added context of Vaggie`s true identity, her parts in "Whatever It Takes" are so much more meaningful now.
Right? When I saw your face, I felt like a stranger in a brand new place" Cuz you were. Literally.
"There's so much I wish I could say" You mean like how you are an angel who killed hundreds to thousands of demons before?
The first time I listened to this song after finishing the season, I was in awe at the foreshadowing in that song
SO TRUE. I did a rewatch with my husband and before the song started I was like "eh this one isnt one of my favorites" but by the end he was so confused because i was sitting there with my jaw dropped because now the song made way more sense. Lol
And the way she hesitates before making a massive jump since her wings were destroyed? Such good foreshadowing.
@@AidaKittyBoyespecially when you realize that she regained her wings after making an unhesitating leap. One might even call it a "leap of faith"
@@TheSansationalSans I mean, The Comics heavily imply most of the Exorcists secretly hate and are guilty over the Exterminations like Vaggie but are too afraid of losiing their "Winner" status(`Cause remember, a lot of the "Winners" have "Sinner" relatives and vice versa) and becoming Fallen like Lucifer and Vaggie did to express these reservations to Adam, Lute and Sera openly.
48:03 GOD lucifer is SUCH a theater dad
For real though!
Watching the flashback in "More Than Anything", it just struck me that he only had one duck there, in contrast to the frankly insane number of ducks we see him surrounded by at the beginning of the episode. That duck impressed his daughter, and he's spent the rest of her life trying to make another he thinks would impress her again.
STOP. YOURE GOING TO MAKE SOMEONE WHO ALSO HAS DADDY ISSUES (me) CRY
As a dad, I know this feeling all too well. Anything I've done, said, or made that impressed my daughter or just made her smile has been my own personal obsession to repeat that reaction from her one more time even though I know I know "one more time" will never be enough.
You know a musical is going to be good when the villian song threatens to be the best number in the entire show
Which one are you talking about since some people count stayed gone as a villain song
Villain songs are normally the show stealer tbh
@@HanyaPanya444because villains are allowed to pull off so much more, heroes have a box they have to exist in to stay a heroic character.

sad that in the song 'poison', after the 'disassociate, disappear' he begins dancing with big screens behind him. in actuality this is his 'safe space' inside his head to ignore and get through the pain, as shown by the fact on the screens in the background of whats happening to him right now, and the fact he cant escape val even in his safe space :/

Alex Brightman was very good as Adam
And as Pentious.

I hope he comes back as a damned soul
@@ladythalia227He was killed by an angelic weapon, so pretty sure his death is final.

I loveee Ready for this, it gives broadway vibes and the rosie with alastor part is so coolll
100% agree haha
I mean, most of the voice cast were from Broadway. Vivienne wanted to make a Broadway musical in animation form based on these characters for years!
@aspieanarchist5439 yeah but Ready For This is distinctly the most broadway-esque song in the entire collection of songs. Like the other songs are great sure, fine for an animated musical, but I'm convinced that Ready For This could be performed live with the same kind of energy and magic
@@AsianAtTheDisco009 "Ready For This" is very Classic Broadway, but I would say "You Didn't Know" is probably the most Modern Broadway song in the show.
I only put stayed gone above it
An important point you mentioned, about people "changing after death"... I once heard from a co-worker (addicted to religion) that when she died she would never feel any negative emotions again, she would live in a "paradise" of happiness ...So I asked "And from this paradise, if you saw your child being killed or suffering, would you feel absolutely nothing for him? Pain, sadness, anger? Are these emotions that make you human, that you would lose? Or your love for Would he be easily forgettable?" I think she's still looking for an answer to this day lol
Lol
Seeing anything other than happiness as "negative"; they need Inside Out.
Some questions have no clear answer as we aren't designed to know it all. Since our minds are different the answer becomes different.
Honestly every time I hear "More than anything" it makes me miss my Dad. He passed in 2020. He never failed to tell me I was his greatest achievement & how proud he was of me. And there are times when I see something I know he'd find hilarious...and I reach for the phone automatically to call and share...just to remember he's not there anymore. It really hits you hard. So go hug your parents and talk to the frequently...because you will wish you had more often when their gone.
My condolences for your father. But I'm happy that you had such a great relationship with him. I lost a loved one too. It was a long time ago but, I can understand what you mean. I wish you and your family the best, take your advice and do what you said✌️
Same. When I sing it, I sing the "I'm grateful you're my daughter" instead because then it makes me think of my little girl instead. Dead dad club really sucks when your dad was the best. ❤
Same. My father died during COVID. My parents were divorced before I was even born and he lived far away. Physically met him only a handful of times in my life. His distance just because lived being across the country, and just always was that way. Phone calls and starting conversations with someone that you know about, but don't know them as close as you wish. It's a hard relationship to navigate for parent and child. This song has me in all kinds of emotions and memories.
34:17 You're totally right, Hazbin and the crew have such a way to write their songs that just slap! Disney take notes!
Especially after Wish they need a research essay 😂
Hazbin hotel put Disney modern music to shame, clean 🔥
Half of the living tombstone duo is on their writing team, so no wonder the songs slap.
@@Aqua1515 True. Honestly, the music in Wish sounds like it was written by chatGPT.
Disney don’t make good villain songs anymore.
Just hit me that the shot of the different Alastors pushing in splitscreens in Hell's Greatest Dad was just like the shot of Vox doing that in Stayed Gone, and they do it for the same reason. Both desperately trying to hold onto their influence, panicking as they realize some serious competition has showed up.

5. Respectless
The fact that “Happy Day in Hell” reminds me more of a classic Disney “I want” song more than anything Disney has actually released in the past 3 years is crazy.
A number of these songs seem to be very much inspired by numbers from the Disney Renaissance. Hell, Hell's Greatest Dad is almost copying frames of the animation from Aladdin's Friend Like Me.
I just find it so beautiful how at the start of the season, except for Vaggie, nobody really believed in Charlie. Not even her father. And by the end of it, they're the ones who cheer her up and tell her to keep fighting, now believing in her. And whose is the hand she takes when getting back up on her feet? Angel's. The first client and the person who only stayed for convenience now believes in her and is willing to help. That's so fucking beautiful and it scratches my brain in the best possible way.
Yeah. That fact also shows in the songs. In the beginning, Charlie sings Happy Day In Hell all by herself while it is clearly *not* a happy day in hell. But the important thing? She sang it by herself. Now, in Finale, *everyone* sings a line from Happy Day In Hell. They all sing along with Charlie, compared to last time. The others singing with her reflect how much they had believed on her. Like you said, at first it was only Vaggie who supported Charlie, but now Charlie has Angel Dust, Husk, Lucifer, Sir Pentious, (maybe) Niffty, (maybe) Alastor, and (probably) Cherri Bomb.
@@pakuvang4775 Although some of those feel rushed for where they were before being thrust ahead.
My favorite is More Than Anything. It really hit my parenting heart. I felt "I will shelter and adore you more than anything" to my core.
Yeah true
The reprised and modified "Hell Is Forever" verse in "You Didn't Know" might be my favorite part in any of the songs, it's absolutely fantastic and feels like such a catharsis for the moment.
Something I'd like to point out is how during Respectless, Velvette is trying to get a rise out of Zestial. Upon hearing his "We can't act without more intelligence", she realises she isn't able to provoke him, and so focuses on Annoying Carmilla Carmine instead.
Fun fact! When Saint Peter is singing "And everyone is hot" the girl on the bottom right is Angel Dust's Little Sister and it's speculated that part of the reason Angel Dust is in Hell was because he died making sure his sister would have a better life then he did and wouldn't have to do the things he did to survive, thus making her a Pure Soul that was sent to Heaven and him a Sinner that was sent to Hell. ... Well, it started off fun, at least.
Is the info about being his sister confirmed?
Alastor is the Eobard Thawn to Charlie's Barry Allen. The second father figure who took her in when she most needed it but in the end had a second agenda that will most likely ultimately lead to a huge betrayal.
hmm. your right i guess i should rewatch flash now
I actually think hes not gonna betray her in terms of screwing her or the hotel over but will use his „little favor“ from Charlie to cut whoevers leash hes currently on.

My favorite part of More Than Anything was when it showed the angelic spears. Lucifer didnt care and looked defeated when they were pointing at him but as soon as they pointed at Charlie he had of look of pure panic and he pulled her away from heaven's light to hide and protect her in the shadows
"But who hasn't been in his shoes?" (It starts with sorry)

LETS GOO MY FAVORITE YTBER REPLIED!!!!
The quote in "You Didn't Know?" Or Song 12, "If hell is forever then heaven must be a lie" is such a great line for the theme in this show. What makes it better is *SPOILER* even Angel's don't know how people get into heaven. They create this 'to do' list but in the end they genuinely don't know and hate when someone brings it up lol.
It's interesting how that one line can summarize why, as a much younger person, I decided to stop listening to church doctrine. The option is a compassionate god that respects the hardships humans grow up with, or some mechanism for redemption, or its not a compassionate god and then why bother? Make the world better for other people.
I'm a bit sad that Zestial only sang five words in Respectless and a few lines in Whatever it takes. HIS VOICE IS SO BEAUTIFUL😭
"We can't act without more intelligence"
"If it was thou, who slew the angel"
These lines are on repeat for (at least) 10 minutes every time I listen to any of the two songs. I get goose bumps every time
Hopefully we get more in season 2
He's asmodeus in Helluva boss, and he sings a couple of songs there 😉

Thank you for this! This is amazing. I was watching your reaction video to the show and I was a little bummed how much of the songs were cut, but it’s very nice of you to do this for the people that wanted to hear the music. My favorite song is ‘More Than Anything’, hands down.
It's funny that you compare Hell Is Forever to Tenacious D, because his voice actor (Alex Brightman) played the Broadway version of the lead character from School of Rock, which is based on the movie starring Jack Black.
Poison and Lose, Baby back to back always make me tear up. Like I could be in the happiest mindset and ONLY see Poison but I still end up crying. It's soooo gut wrenching. And Loser, Baby? Just absolutely perfect. Warms my heart but also makes me cry bc Angel really really needed that.
when mimzy came out and your were like “who the fuck is this” i was laughing so hard😂
She threw me off haha
This needs to be a Broadway Musical!
they're all from broadway tho
5:33 YOU'RE RIGHT! Tangled IS great. You know whats also great? Tangled the series. My god does that show deserve more love. Jeremy Jordan who plays Lucifer in this, plays a character in the series, a fourteen year old named Varian (agreed upon as the best character, also his first voice acting role ever !) And James Monroe Iglehart who plays Zestial in this plays Lance in the series as well!
I highly highly recommend reacting to it, or the songs. (But if you are watching the show, make sure to watch the pilot movie first called "Before ever after" as it explains everything you need to know before episode one.) Btw, just because, Varian's first appearance is episode 1! Lance's is episode 6. :))
Adam really went “fuck I’m loosing, time to expose vaggie” 39:53
Funny your comment about Adam's voice because his actor Alex was the lead of school of rock on brodway
Yep not to mention Beetlejuice
Super fitting haha
Fun Fact!: At 48:50, the V’s part of the song is based on “I Can’t Fix You” by Living Tombstone since one of the Living Tombstone members worked on the songs! Isn’t that neat? :0
The song at Cannibal Town reminded me of The Music Man so much 😂
"MUUUUUUSIIIIC MAAAAN" (C) MatPat
Charlie always gives me disney princess vibes and it strangely fits
Obsessed with Angel and Poison. this song is lit! and the backstory! so sad!
So good
As both a mother figure and partner "what ever it takes," always gets me crying. Same for more rhen anything. Not only dady issues but as a parent figure all you want is to protect the ones you love.
I love the conversation and covert of shows and media like Hazbin Hotel because the concept of an infinite amount of punishment or reward for a FINITE amount of time of behavior is so stupid. The punishment or reward doesn’t fit the crime or absent of crime.
A little note on what you said. They broke the fourth wall because they said they're fucking Singing. In the world of Hazbin Hotel, actually the world and the songs that people sing are actually diogenic , meaning they actually happen within hell One of the rulers Lilith as they state in the beginning of the show actually in the lore made music basically part of their world
Really smart idea to make a separate video for reaction to music purposes. 👌
Thank you 🙌

My favorite song is Out For Love and my favorite character is Husk that relatable guy is next level... The pain of not having freedom and being addicted to gambling (I ain't addicted to gambling I just like him)
I used to (low-key) be a gacha addict, and still am now and again when some characters if I don't have enough pulls saved up from dailies I splurge on my spending some
Stayed Gone is definitely my favorite!
More than Anything is my favourite, it gets me right in the daddy issues every time
When Camella sings about keeping them safe she not only looks at her daughters but Zestial as well. I think there is an interesting story there and he has no red eyes as well. I ponder if Zestial is a true fallen Angel when Lucifer fell.
At least he’s older than the rest of them. that said he speaks like a Shakespearean character.
Perhaps Zestial was a priest who committed crimes when he was on earth
Not a fan of musicals, but I actually liked this show. I think it’s because the musical not only is good, but serves a purpose and progresses plots.

"This is all us in America" killed me 😂
Please listen to Stick It To The Man form the school of rock musical. It's Ser Pentious and Adams voice actor
Wait wait wait. So you're telling me that Alex sang a song called Stick It To The Man and they put that on Adam's list of things a soul has to accomplish to redeem itself? Because that's just, I can't 😂
It's good that you point out the younger generation, of this show, wanting to actually act on making better changes. And the scene where Sera says to Charlie that there's a lot she doesn't know, and you're thinking it would be so simple to just tell us what we don't know to help us understand, instead of keeping us in the dark while telling us how little we know. They're willing to keep things complicated because it's what they've always known and what has worked in their favor.
I swear, most reactors have a cat
It's in the requirements. Haha
Bro
Not even 2 seconds in and this man is playing with the cutest cat I've ever seen in the cutest way

Haven't watched cartoon reactions in a long ass while, this sounds mad fun tho
The one father daughter song u mentioned is called "More than Anything". Also, my favorite two songs are "Respectless" & "Loser Baby".
Mirabel from Encanto was a amazing choice for Vaggie
