I think my favorite missable moment is during the final song. When Alastor reappears to the group Husk looks disappointed (because he thought his deal with Alastor was done), Charlie exclaims “Al!”, and, my personal favorite, Lucifer just rolls his eyes and says “Ugh, this guy” 😂
Husk would've known Alastor was alive though (remember Alastor owns his soul, so if Alastor died, Husk would've been freed). I think he was just annoyed Alastor reappeared so much sooner than expected. It was only like a day since the failed extermination.

He basically let the exterminations happen but gave all hellborn being immunity to it (Lute said that in the very first episode during the meeting) ... so as soon as Adam ignored that rule he jumped in.
Now in season 2 he has an excuse for his intervention.He can just say weeeeeell they broke the rules soooo.

It's canon that Alastor has basically adopted Nifty and treats her like a daughter
One of the saddest moments in the show. Keekee who has build a friendship with Sir Pentius in the background is sad after he dies.
It is unclear if she is trapped under rubble or is is not moving out of distress. She seems more upset then fat nuggets. She takes comfort in Charlies arms but looks sad when she starts talk about Sir Pentius. She gets down and sits on Sir Pentius’s welcome sign then puts a paw out. Seeming trying to express she sadness. You just feel bad for cat.
Keekee is the personification of the Hazbin Hotel itself, bear in mind. So her warming up to Pentious should have been one of our clues to the whole redemption thing.

The fact that the final song, "Finale," is pretty much a sequel to "Happy Day In Hell," the first song we ever hear, is so satisfying to listen to. I still get a sappy smile when Lucifer goes, "You can do this! Now I know it! But your story has just begun!"
Edit: Also, there might be a reason why Lucifer took so long: He had a deal with Heaven where all Hellborn (i.e. him and Charlie) would be exempt from exterminations. However, when Adam went after Charlie, he broke the terms of that deal, which was when Lucifer finally stepped in. Actually, it might have even been when Adam killed Dazzle, as she was a creation of Lucifer's and therefore a Hellborn being. Just another knock against Heaven seeing as how Lucifer was more willing to hold up a deal than them.
"Finale" also contains a reprise of "Ready for This"
Some people argue that Dazzle's death was the sacrificial goat needed that Lucifer needs when it's not the "Family Discount".
the whole show is excellent at carrying forward musical ideas throughout I hope the second season's music is this good cause its a high bar 👏
Personally, I found it satisfying that Charlie did show a glimpse of her true potential - matching or even exceeding Adam's strength - in an act of protecting her father. My headcannon is that she didn't truly tap into her power until then because she was fighting out of anger and want for revenge earlier. But, as Carmilla said, you need to fight for the sake of love, and that's exactly what allowed Charlie to stop Adam in his tracks.
And I love that Lucifer immediately followed Charlie's lead when she wanted to spare Adam. He not only loves her as a daughter, but respects her as a person.
It's not a headcannon since Charlie herself didn't like using the power her name brings.
And she used to be much more accepting of her demon powers back when she dated Seviethan. I wonder why and when she started to reject that part of herself?
Noticed that. Niffty got a direct hit from Adams holy light blast. And she was okay after that. She is build different and maybe just as a comic reflief, but maybe way more.

My favorite detail in this episode is that they used Alastor vs Adam to demonstrate what Carmilla meant by angels fighting in a sloppy way. In terms of pure power Alastor is nowhere near Adam but was able to put up a fight by being smarter and finessing around him. Alastor lost the moment he got cocky and tried to take Adam’s attack head on.
Not just that, he didn't even use angelic weapons to try to kill him off

And Lute at the end there with Lilith had the same energy as a kid scoring win after win against little kids in a video game, all sorts of playing dirty to win and rubbing it in their faces but the moment they lose fairly against someone more skilled they go tatling to mommy
A detail you missed is Alastor and Lilith were both gone for 7 years, which is only mentioned once for Lilith at the beginning

You even see how Lute's mask glitches out first, after she kills Dazzle, and then Adam's mask glitches when he expresses the intent to actually kill Charlie, rather than just hurt her, get her out of the way and proceed with the extermination.
I mean... She's kinda dead, she's in hell. Also the deal didn't break when they killed Dazzle, it did when Adan attacked Charlie. Thats when Lucifer was allowed to interviene

That was a double win for Vaggie.. cause Lute is so full of hate for her, and being spared by her.. that gives her pure agony. Maybe it is not wise to let her life but sometimes a win like this is worth the effort.
Here's one thing you SHOULD see with what Charlie DID show. When her dad was about to get sucker punched by Adam she effortlessly CAUGHT his fist and nullified his force which took him off guard. A punch that effortlessly shattered ALASTOR'S BARRIER that was splatting the angels like bugs on a windshield. Charlie has more power in one hand when she starts to get serious than Alastor has in his whole being. That's massive power and she doesn't even do soul contracts.
Man, I can't wait for the next season. Charlie's probably gonna be beside herself once she finds out the hotel actually helped Pentious get redeemed.

One thing to remember from the first episode, Charlie talks about how her mom has been gone, but she also says something along the lines of: "-Off doing something important, I'm sure." So this whole time Lilith has been absent, but believed to be still alive. I'm interested to know how Charlie will feel to know that her mom's just been chilling in Heaven all this time.
Also, ever since seeing you getting attached to Nifty, I've been waiting for the moment of her being the one to deal the killing blow to Adam. XD

It’s been suggested that Lilith is the one Alastair sold his soul to. It would mostly explain why he was willing to support Charlie despite his fetish for failure. Also if Lilith is the one who’s leash he’s on it probably explains why he had no problem sticking in Lucifer’s craw

P.S. Charlie stopped the weapon that destroyed Alistors mic cold. Even Adam was shocked that she did that with her bare hand. Unfortunately Niffty killed Adam with an angelic blade and there is no coming back from death from an angelic blade. I'll shut up soon but there is one more thing. In Helluva Boss when Moxie asks Loona about the weight loss flyer (sorry but I can't remember the episode), Loona is watching Charlies Hazbin Hotel commercial.
I hated that Dazzle died, but love that they made a statue of him in front of the hotel, and when it did the zoom out you saw Razzle on his statue, as if saying goodbye. As for Sir Pentius and his redemption, I think that was Adam's entire reason for going down to the exterminations:
Note how he only ever let the Exorcists fight while he stood on the side-lines (usually with Lute). My thought is that he was tasked, originally, with bathing sinners in his "holy light" to see which ones were able to be redeemed, but instead he perverted it to make it his own style of energy blast. Pentius was the only one that took the blast head-on, and had regained so much of his humanity/love of others that upon being hit, he was instantly transported to the High Seraphim (instead of the gates where everyone else went) for his job assignment.
Could you imagine that Pentius now takes over for the Exorcists, only to tell Charlie and the others what it truly takes for sinners to be redeemed?

Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are in the same universe, but Helluva is a spin-off initially made for the fans of Hazbin to have something to watch and enjoy while Hazbin was in years-long production.
Very Minor Spoiler warning simply because it wasn't mentioned in the show:
Vivziepop confirmed on Twitter that Sinners (such as Alastor, Angel, Nifty, and any soul that died and went to hell) can only be the Pride Ring, which is Lucifer's primary domain. Charlie, Lucifer, Blitz and the other imps being hellborn are allowed to travel to all the other rings including the Pride Ring. Vaggie who we now know is angel (technically fallen-angel), isn't a sinner and can likely travel to other rings just like Charlie can, but may never show it due to copyright and Vivzie wanting Helluva to stay indie.
Whether it's a naturally-cosmic reason, magical reason or a strict rule Lucifer himself put in the place that Sinners can only be the Pride Ring is heavily debated as that hasn't been directly address in universe or by outside material. Thus far we haven't seen a single sinner in any other ring of hell going off Helluva's episodes.
Helluva Boss primarily focuses in the other 6 rings of hell, hence the difference in sky color, or occasionally on Earth as Hazbin hasn't once shown a location on Earth yet. This was a part way for Vivzie to separate the shows likely due copyright reasons as all the Hazbin characters are under Amazon's copyright, while Helluva is still and most likely will forever remain an indie project.
Given the fact that Hell has all the signs of being occupied territory, not an independent state, it’s possible that Lucifer didn’t make that rule. It’s possible that Heaven made the rule, and most of the rules, because Hell is essentially their open-air prison and scapegoat. Heaven is the one that holds the real control in Hell; they make the rules, they’re allowed to go down there and slaughter people as much as they like, whenever they feel like it, but NOBODY from Hell is allowed to even speak to anyone in Heaven without pulling some serious strings via Lucifer. Let alone set foot in Heaven without, again, a special direct invitation from Lucifer.
Hell is to Heaven as Native Reservations are to the US government, or as blacks were to whites in Apartheid South Africa. They’re an explicitly oppressed minority, and it’s very likely winners are confined to Pride simply because it makes it easier for Heaven to control them AND makes their suffering worse.
The shot of Charlie brandishing her trident in her demon form against Adam was so, so good.
Charlie and Emily are my two favorite characters in the show. Charlie is the driving force for the series and is the whole reason why (most of) the other characters are changing for the better. Without her the character growth that people are invested in with the likes of Angel and Sir Pentious wouldn't be there. Plus, in a show like this she she is by far the biggest stand out in Hell. /She/ is the rebel. Then Emily is her counterpart in Heaven. Which in a good twist on expectations, makes her a rarity as well. At least as far as characters we've met goes.
Niffty is a close third for her antics and humor. She's an adorable little chaos gremlin. Then Alastor behind her. The order gets muddled after that, but Husk may be fifth.
23:18 An important thing to note (that doesn't answer the question explicitly but I'm getting there) is that "normal' means of death cannot kill a human soul. Those who's bodies are damaged regenerate over time with an amount of pain. Those who are damaged beyond repair remanifest with a whole new body eventually, also with quite an amount of pain. If Adam's light beams don't perma-kill, then Pentous would eventually remanifest. If he earned passage into heaven before body death that could be the trigger. That said I don't think we know the permanent-lethality of the light beams for certain nor do we know that death is the trigger, but I feel pretty confident that it is a required step.
Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are not officially crossing over for copyright reasons. Hazbin Hotel is owned by Spindlehorse (Vivian), A24, and Prime. While Helluva Boss is just Spindlehorse. Viv decided to keep them separate so she can do as she likes with HB, while HH is subject to the input of the publishers. Honestly a smart business move.

Nifty stuff first- I love how you could see Val's shock. he probably remembers her now... and he IS a bug... speaking of that moment, Vaggie is the most excited. loved Vals mug, as well.
Favorite character is Lute, maybe Adam, then Nifty. as it is, Lute grew on me fast. I felt bad for her in that sequence with adam, and on rewatches of her parts, her chemistry with Adam made them a great pair of villains.
Loving the comments pointing out what was up with the glitching on the masks. as if pointing out how the deal was now breached, allowing for Lucifer to get involved. I had already assumed that he required the deal to be breached, but this... interesting.
the most popular theory is that Lilith is the one who has alistor in chains and this is only the beginning of the main series I'm personally curious where they're going to take this in the next season since it is 100 percent confirmed that there is going to be a season 2

I’m leaning into the idea that Eve has Alastor’s soul, and she maybe even had a hand in Lilith and his disappearance. We know about Adam, but have heard nothing of her. Not to mention her unnerving smile in the opening scene where she takes the apple.
And, this might be along the more out there theories, but I’m also wondering if she’s actually Charlie’s mom. If they stick to part of Lilith’s original story, she was unable to have children. Then Lucifer’s “Your first wife didn’t seem to hate what I had to offer… Or the second” comment sticks in my mind. Is he just talking about Eve easily betraying Adam and taking Lucifer’s offer, or did something more happen? I dunno. Something that’s swirling in my theory pot.
By the way here is an estimation of how the battle should have looked like: Carmilla said the overlords own millions of souls, that means hell's population is in the millions. She said 16% was lost in the last extermination, and Lute said she killed 275 which was impressive. By all this data lets count with 3 million souls and say average angel kills 200 in an extermination. 16% of 3 mil divided by 200 : 2400. There should have been more than 2000 angels attacking the hotel! They would have been overwhelmed so quickly!
Vivziepop wanted to have more control over Helluva Boss that's why it's still free to watch on CZcams because giving Amazon ownership of the show limits what she can put in the show. That's why Hazbin episodes are so short and all over the place.
I didn't see a halo on Lilith so I don't think she's dead because she is human too. But her deal with Adam is void. I'm actually starting to think Alastor has nothing to do with Lilith directly but may have made a deal with the Loa who may be under Lilith and Lucifer is Vivziepop decides to add to the lore in hell. 😊
24:31 I've heard that originally there was going to be a lot of crossover between the two shows, but when the Hazbin hotel brand and characters became co owned by a producer/distributer there were copywrite entanglements. My understanding is that Hazbin characters can't be in Helluva Boss because of the Co-ownership and that Helluva characters can't be in Hazbin because they would then belong to that brand and their past appearances would then run into the previous issues. Copywrite can be a great thing, but it can also make obvious choices a pain to make realized.
Helluva Boss characters do appear in brief cameos in Hazbin Hotel, but they're kind of hidden in the background, most of them have no lines of dialogue (I think Moxxie says something at some point but I'm not sure and don't remember what he said.) I thought I recognized Luna at some point, I DEFINITELY recognized Blitzo (white burn scar and all, very easy to identity . . . definitively.)
For season 2, I have a prediction: Sir Pentious's afterlife is in danger. It seems to me that if your destination is Hell when you die, but you're already in Hell, you get de-existed. Hopefully that won't be the same for dying in Heaven while your destination is Heaven, but if it is then Sir Pentious might be in trouble. There's still a lot of exorcists with their irrational hatred and bloodlust, and Sera clearly has SOME level of corruption in her soul and engages in shady shit to keep secrets and "carry out her duty."
That fire in her eyes during the song "You didn't know?" when she sang " . . . to do what is required" is just SCARY. Also, unlike Emily she was clearly not happy to see Pentious redeemed, and may at the very least try to keep him quartineed, if not outright sanction secret attempts on his life.

It took me quite a while to get the realization that the person who Alistor made the deal with was Lilith and with Beth it just clicks just like that. How does she do that time after time? It's insane!
I have a personal theory regarding this.
- In the intro Lilith accrued an army that was posed to assault Heaven by force, which is why the Seraphim agreed with Adam to do the exterminations to prevent it from happening ever again, as well as for the population reduction.
- Part of that deal also restricts Lilith to remain in Heaven where she cannot gather another powerbase. This is the reason why Heaven would allow her to stay there.
- Lilith would thus need someone else to carry out her will in Hell, so she strikes a deal with Alistor where Alistor binds himself to Lilith in exchange for Lilith's powers, thus allowing him to topple overlords in a rapid pace in a very short time succession.
- Part of that deal however most certainly would involve Charlie somehow. Either in terms of protection, or keeping an eye out for her in general, or something else entirely.
- This is also why Alistor would want to tie Charlie around his finger, so that he could use her against Lilith, so that he can break the contract with Lilith.

Vaggie letting Lute live was the right choice. Now Lute has to live knowing that Adam is dead forever, that sinners can be redeemed and that Exterminations, the one thing she knew how to do, are no longer necessary

@23:20 MY theory in this UNIVERSE is that:
1. an angel BODY only has the ability to PERMANENTLY reside on heaven, vice versa in hell
2. the CREATOR doesn't really care that much, he already created a fixed system for the 3 worlds (heaven,hell and earth), however like alestor''s reason to join charlie, certain entertaining actions may make creator to intervene.
THUS with this 2 FACTORS a person who gets to heaven stays in heaven even if they change, same with hell.
HOWEVER dying is different there are a lot of possibilities that could happen to one's soul after dying (even multiple times)
This was the great season to make me wonders on what might happen for next season. As there been moments that we going to wait till next year or possibly two years later while Helluva Boss is going to be coming back within the Season 2 continuing onwards 😄 With that said, if you look closely at the moment of news being broadcast around the city. There is three new characters that might come for season 2. As two I know being Baxter (Angler Fish Demon) and Niss (Angel’s Brother). Both characters seem to be in the early stages of Hazbin but soon coming out for the big screen. Till later you ask if Adam be in Hell, he might be an edgy guy that might see the ways of Hell than Heaven. So it might be interesting to witness as I seen fan arts of Punk Demon Adam with a heavy metal style.
So at 25:03 that would be cool to have a crossover with Helluva Boss, but sadly we won’t as it be too difficult to get both streaming services into the same time, but the VAs can allow the voices to be used in the show since they already gotten Ozzie, Fizz and Blitz VAs in the show

If you are looking for a new series to pop on here after Hazbin, Centaurworld is comparable imo! It's only 2 seasons, has a definitive ending, and follows a similar musical structure. The world and vibe are totally different, but it's still an amazing story, and I think y'all would have a lot of fun with it!!
I can’t believe that I just noticed Alastors eye before he escaped Adam! I also truly wonder if he made a deal with the shadow while he was alive and the shadow is who he made a deal with. Voodoo has a lot of deals. Is the shadow stuck in Alastor because of the manner of his death?

Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel are absolutely in the same universe, you betcha! There's at least one episode I can think of where you see Loona sitting at her desk and Charlie is clearly seen on the screen advertising her hotel 😃 Then in the Harvest Moon Festival episode, the gun that Moxie finds in Striker's room is a "Genuine Carmine (As in Carmella Carmine, the arms dealer overlord that already knew what Vaggie was just by looking at her) crafted blessing-tipped rifle!"
Interestingly if you look at the notification while news is running it's asking when are we expecting season 2

The main contenders for who owns Alister are Eve and Lilith. My personal theory (based on Lilith and Alistor being missing 7 years) Is as follows. Allister spawns in hell. Lilith, who had been fighting the good fight and seen that they are losing, makes a deal with Adom to sabotage the power structure in hell in exchange for passage and sanctuary in heaven. Lilith then makes a deal with Alister granting him immense power in exchange for toppling the current power structure in hell. Once enough overlords are brought down Lilith and Alister go to heaven for 7 years. Lilith, either out of compassion to her daughter or simply wanting an end to the endless string of calls, sends Alister to aid Charlie with her hotel. The rest of the events play out as we see.
As stated this is 100% Theory Crafting. There is another element that I left out because I don't think you know about it and I don't want to spoil that particular character until they show up in future seasons of the show.

There is one significant clue that Alistor made a deal with Lilith. In episode 1 Charlie said that it had beed 7 years since Charlie had seen Lilith and Alistor was not seen in hell for 7 years.

Don't know why Sera, Adam, and Lute feels threatened by the Hotel if they don't believe that demons can not be redeemed.
Because allowing the Hotel to work is stopping all the exterminations which means hell getting stronger
So yeah this episode puts the final nail on the coffin of what happened to angels and their invulnerability, thanks to the sudden change of making Vaggie an angel, because of fan theories. She literally bleeds, just because her head is smashed against a table. No angelic steel or power at work there. Also, Lute's arm rips off, also no angelic power at work, and it does not even regenerate. They really SHOULD be completely invincinble to anything but angelic weapons and powers, because this creates so much bizarr possibilities.
What if an exorcist loses their weapon, and a bounch of unweaponized cannibals surround them, hold them down, rip their wings off, and then eat them alive? They cannot die to anyhting but angelic weapons so... then they become chucks of living flesh inside cannibal tummies? And then that which comes out on the other end?
Also Alastor could have totally killed Adam, but he got too cocky. He allowed Adam that shot, leaving himself open, and also, all the while he only used his dark powers, even tho he knew angelic steel is the effective weapon to use there. If the shadow that snook up on Adam and punched him in the chin would have had angelic blade carried with it, he would have won right there, stabbing him in the chin instead.

See, Alastor even at full power wouldn't stand a chance against Adam if Adam decided to not play around (because as stated, he was sloppy and unskilled but his power more than makes up for that). Adam is on par with Lilith who is the 3rd strongest in Hell (Charlie as 2nd and Lucifer as 1st) Alastor is at best, the 3rd strongest Sinner, but there is still the Ars Gotiea and the 6 sins above him and then the the Morningstar royals above them.
Also funny that you say about broadway every single one of the voice actors for hazbin is a broadway star so for atleast the broadway production they won't need to interview anyone rhey could just use the cast as is
Some would need to be recast anyways for physical looks or abilities, or because they have dual roles.

But yes, they take place in the same universe. HB explores the other parts of Hell that human sinners can't reach, and HH covers the pride ring and heaven.

Alister lost because of overconfidence. If he used any angelic weapon he would of killed Adam with ease. He did not and lost. Edit: Alister took a direct shot with an angelic weapon and survived. That says something about his power levels.
