So the deal doesn't mean Charlie can't be killed by angelic steel. It just means if they try, the deal's off, and the hellborn can fight back. Including Lucifer. Which is why he's so late to the party, he was honoring the deal till they attacked Charlie.

Lucifer's face when he saw Charlie's reaction to the destruction of the hotel and the deaths of Dazzel and Pentious. She was slipping into depression and knowing what that was like personally, he picked her up emotionally to support her and get her moving forward again which is something that he probably didn't get when he lost everything by being cast into Hell and his apparent subsiquint failure to redeem the sinners souls when he had attempted it.
Well I dont think Lucifer ever tried to redeem sinners souls. Think what he meant by tried this all before in the first version of "More than Anything" was trying to convince Heaven, not the action of specifically saving sinners. That he tried to convince Heaven that Humans should have free will, when he was told no and he did it anyway he was cast down and only allowed to see the worst of what his actions brought. That DESTROYED him. So he didnt want Charlie trying, failing, and ending up in the same destroyed and depressive state he ended up in.
Something i wanna point out, that was mentioned elsewhere, is bith Lute and Adams masks glitched out shortly after harming Hellborn demons. Lute killed Dazzle, and Adam assaulted Charlie. They went back on the contract that stated that Exorcists couldnt harm or kill Hellborn demons. So there is a very good chance that Lute in fact wont be leader of the Exorcist Army because she went against the contract, and might actually face sever punishment for killing Dazzle.
This is also probably why Lucifer didnt ahow up to help at first, because he was bound by the same heavenly contract to not combat the exorcist army. But because Dazzle was killed, and Charlie was assaulted, the contract was now null-and-void. It was broken by two angels, and not Lucifer himself so heaven cant blaim him for fighting back to protect his daughter.
Dazzle was the goat demon that guards Charlie that died as the one Charlie rode on she called Razzle and I want to see how Razzle adapts to the loss of his brother in season 2

Also, they should show how the loss hits Charlie too. Razzle and Dazzle are brothers, yes, but them and Charlie have been together since she was a child. Even if it's just something small she does with Razzle.
But, it'll depend on how the team uses their time next season.
I want to see something like this: Charlie is at the statue and Lucifer walks up to her looking at the statue and asks her does she know why he ,,gave" them to her. And then we go into a little flashback with baby Charlie and Lucifer.

Yes! When Charlie tells the story in ep. 1, she says Lucifer never got to see the GOOD he brought to humanity. Charlie showed him that free will can do more than just evil. That must have really shook his perception of what could be.
The 10,000 years is an interesting choice. It may have simply been an arbitrary choice for the song, but, if we examine human history it would correspond to the transition between hunting/gathering (at least in the area of the Middle East) to the agricultural revolution. While that transition allowed for large cities to exist, it was also pretty brutal work. It may have been the root of the stories that led to the Garden of Eden story, i.e., going from a simpler and easier lifestyle to 'earning your keep by the sweat of your brow' sort of life that most would have had in the agricultural revolution.
when vox and valentino are singing at the end, you can see the knife thrown at a torn up pic of Alastor, there os a bit of Vox in the pic taking the photo next to him. you can see also the photo is old style which probably what Alastor prefers since he's not fond of digital cameras. I'm guessing they really were old pals but something broke them apart

for your comment @15:21: Charlie can be harmed to an extent... Lucifer can only be harmed/killed by an angel of equal or more power, a seraph, but Charlie is a demon. She has red blood, not gold. Angelic weapons/power can still harm her, she's probably just more durable and definitely hella powerful. Lucifer did make sure she and other hellborn were pardoned from extermination though, and because she's his daughter she has diplomatic immunity as well.
She wouldn’t be just a demon though. It would be something closer to a nephalim. Even a powerful demon shouldn’t have been able to singlehandedly block Adam’s attack

So I guess she can be harmed, but not permadeathed like a demon. Clearly her half-angel blood is coming in somewhere, but what 'rank' Charlie would be is prolly up in the air? I don't think she can just inherit Lucifer's seraphim rank by blood (or maybe she can but it's just dormant power right now).

I wish Sir Pentious actually managed to do something before Adam destroyed his blimp, and that Charlie got to do a bit more in the fight in general, but those are more nitpicking than anything. And in episode 7, I don't have much to complain about. I love what Sir Pentious was trying to do, and I really wanted to see Adam get hit by the death ray as the only time it ever does anything before it got destroyed. I feel like it would've rounded out the war machine obsession he had, with it finally doing something.
But in honor is his noble sacrifice, Long Live Sir Repentious!
I wanted Adam to be around a little longer, he was a fun antagonist.

If I'm not mistaken, someone else said that Roo could also just be short for Kangaroo, it hasn't actually been confirmed if Roo is short for Root of Evil, that was just a rumor someone said that stuck, which is a bit of a leap in logic if you ask me. Roo is a character from a fan made story, and therefore not canon. Though, that doesn’t discount the idea of Eve potentially being in Season Two. People have brought up how her face in episode one is similar to Lilith’s trading card, and how Lilith is doing the “Shh” position with her hand over her mouth. I also think it’s strange that they blurred Lilith’s face out in episode 5. I’ve been wondering where Eve is this entire time. Hearing the trading card theory makes the idea that Eve could be in Lilith’s place, or something along those lines, more believable. (As a wild theory- in folklore, Lilith couldn’t have kids. What if Charlie is actually Eve’s daughter? Just a random thought I had).

For all that power displayed by Adam (he basically one shot Alastor), I love how Lucifer was just mocking him the entire time until Charlie almost got hurt. Then he slapped the shit out of him out of the sky and made a crater! (Props to Charlie for stopping Adam's shield busting punch) They are just not even in the same universe in terms of power and Adam knew it. He shat himself as soon as he saw Lucifer and was fighting him out of desperation.
Also, Adam was counting on the agreement made with Heaven in that Lucifer would not interfere, but the dumbass got so blood lusted that he forgot that Lucifer would not give a shit about that agreement if Charlie was in danger.
Also also, people say that Lucifer couldn't intervene because of a deal with heaven. I doubt that. I think up until now he was so depressed and a recluse that he just didn't care. After all, he was the one that was fine with the exterminations and let it happen in the first place.
There was also a possibility that he just didn't know about the attack on the hotel until maybe Dazzle got killed, if he had a link with the dragons being his creations?.. I mean, Charlie didn't tell him, he is not omniscient and he doesn't watch tv.
He made the deal for the Hellborn's safety because, sure, he could STOMP the Exorcists, but would he be able to protect CHARLIE? All he would have to do is slip up ONCE. Miss ONE Exorcist. And Charlie's gone.
Charlie's a Hellborn. That immunity protects her, and she's the only one he'd bother to fight for anyways. If she's protected then it doesn't matter if he gave up his ability to fight.
Hence the deal. He was literally getting guaranteed protection for his daughter... essentially for just doing what he would have done if Charlie was safe anyways.
THANK YOU!! Someone finally noticed that Lucifer literally just bitch-slaps Adam into the dirt with exactly zero effort, and only when it's his daughter at risk. He's as far above Adam in power as Adam would be to an average day-one sinner on their first day in Hell.

But then we see while Adam's fighting Lucifer, that the same could be said of Adam by Lucifer. Adam was no match for a Seraphim. On the hierarchy, Adam is at the bottom as far as ability goes because he was a human soul (stated in Episode 6 by Sera herself).

Also can’t wait for season 2, Lucifer has been my favorite by far since he showed up. Alastor being a close 2nd, the thing about this show is you end up loving 99% of the characters! lucifer had a deal with heaven that they can come down and kill the human sinners but they WERE NOT ALLOWED TO KILL ANY HELLBORNS charlie razzle and dazzle are hellborn so adam should have left the hotel alone
And then Lute killed Dazzle and Adam tried killing Charlie, thus breaking that deal. As such, Lucifer was allowed to step in and help kick Adam's butt.

Someone pointed out this thing I didnt notice, but Alistor loses his radio effect when adam slices his cane. Maybe his effect was tied to the cane, but I like to think that he manually puts the effect on his voice and is just so shocked that he forgets to put it on in his panic. His fight also contains 2 of his 3 swears in the entire series, the first being his argument with Lucifer, his second being to drop a bar on Adam, and his third being "oh fuck, i just lost"
The talk with Lilith at the end had one very imprtant word in it people dont seem to recognize through the shock. Lute says "your deal is done" Deal bing a very important word for a demon. Lilith had some sort of deal, and its contigent on adam being alive or not (IDK if she put a hit on adam, or if she made a deal with him personally that is void now that he is dead), and it means that lilith now cant hang out on her extra-planar beach like she has been.
There are times where Alastor loses the radio filter at a few points so I think that he 100% doing the radio filter intentionally to show that he is in control of himself versus Vox when he loses it he doesn’t sound as clear
It’s funny to me how lots of random things get thrown into our faces in this final episode of the season.
Like, we now know Lilith’s in heaven and made some kind of deal, Alastor is now even more desperate in searching for a way to break from the deal HE made and Sir Pentious proves that Demons CAN be redeemed as he ends up in heaven after getting disintegrated by Adam.
They weren’t “random”. Lilith has been a hinted character from the first minutes of the show, Alastor was revealed to have made a deal in episode 5, and demons being redeemed was literally the entire point of the show 😂. I agree there is a lot back to back, but it’s certainly not random.
It’s likely due to the episode restrictions Amazon puts out. I’m sure the pacing would be better if they had this budget but kept the show to their channel only.

Also there are two pictures on each of their (now archived) Instagram accounts that show 1) Val smashing Vox’s screen and 2) Vox putting his screen back together with a “this happens a lot” expression. So not only is Val an abusive shit to Angel, he’s also an abusive shit to Vox
One thing to note is that when Zestial is first introduced, He said that the rumors are Alastor fell into “Holy Hands.” Meaning he was probably captured by Heaven, or at the very least an Angel. And they potentially hold his chains.
Speaking of Alastor, I’m getting the feeling that once he breaks said chains, he’ll be a major villain of the show. Am I am here for it. Alastor is still my favorite character either way

@@lucaselchidoris4637It’s even funnier now because we know they’re together but they’re also just Like That. Velvette does call Vox Val’s “flat-faced prince” in that ep so it was obvious they had a special sort of relationship, but I’m glad it’s out and confirmed with a sloppy makeout sesh now.
Given every previous response Vox has had when dealing with Valentino, I think it’s less of a romantic relationship and more of a sexually exclusive one. I can’t see either of them falling in love with anyone tbh. Vox adores the control he has over the masses too much, and Valentino is way too occupied with his own job (and raging when someone ignores him). That said, maybe Vox will occupy Valentino enough that he eases up on those who owe him their souls. Fingers crossed.

Seems like Charlie's Granddad is not only on board with her idea, but He _wants there to be no denying of this._
He may have even INTENDED for Hell to work exactly the way Charlie thinks it should to _start with_ and the only reason it was never discovered is BECAUSE of Adam's bullcrap and Sera's cowardice.
Wouldn't surprise me. It feels like Charlie's idea is more along the lines of how things are set up in C.S. Lewis's 'The Great Divorce', where Hell is where souls are allowed to do whatever they wish, including travel to Heaven on a visit, and potentially, be redeemed and then allowed to stay in Heaven. Essentially, Hell is both Purgatory and Eternal 'self-imposed' Torment.

@kirstinjw.wilkinson4143 Even in actual Christian belief, it is not well known that Purgatory is not JUST a waiting room.
It's a BRIDGE between Heaven and Hell. The name is meaningful. 'Purgatory', aka, 'Place for Purging'.
It is a place where the Sinful can pass through a long, awful, horrible road to purge themselves of their sins and at the end of that road is Heaven's gate, ready to swing wide and let them in and recieve them in joy and celebration.
The thing is, Purgatory is WORSE than Hell because it is JUST as awful as Hell and in order to make any progress along it you have to confront and overcome every one of your sins along the way. Constantly. And if you give in? You have to START OVER from wherever you began your journey at.
This is alleviated by the fact that this path can be walked in both life AND death, and is EASIER to walk in life, and when you die you find yourself in death on the same spot on the path of Purgatory you were in life. Ideally, you did with that journey already concluded and appear ready at the Gate. If you never walked anywhere along that journey you appear at its start... in Hell.
Hell isn't forever. That's a painfully common misteaching. The Sinful are not beyond redemption, even in Hell... it is just harder for them to reach it, and many of them are too afraid to try and gave up.
@@GuukanKitsune Thank you. I grew up in evangelical teaching, so I didn't know that about Purgatory. I was essentially taught that Purgatory doesn't exist. But it makes more sense for its existence, since God wishes that no one be condemned.

Because for most of the time , Adam and the exorcists were attacking sinners, Lucifer couldn't butt in into the situation, because that was heaven's orders, but when Adam went directly for Charlie, his daughter, and a hellborn, he had every right to protect her, because that wasn't part of the Sera's deal.

Alastor got injured pretty badly too. You will notice when you rewatch it. his blood was on adams blade. His powers stopped as soon as adam broke his staff. However he managed to fend off that attack. There are cracks in the floor around him from it. He also lost his radio voice because he was caught off guard. Then adam slashed him across the chest. you can see the wound and the blood as he is getting up. Next time we see him he is distressed because he almost died for his friends, something he would not naturally do. Even admitted to liking them at the beginning of the episode. Allows them to group hug him after he shows up. Vees called him a coward while they were sitting there doing nothing watching this go down while he was out there fighting for people he was just starting to care about. Was confirmed season 2 will about Alastor and the vees.
I don’t know who’s death was more sad, Pentious or the eggs.

So this is just an idea I had, but after the ascension of Sir Pentious, I imagine that Sera would probably want to cover it up to not threaten Heaven, possibly because Heaven would still be uneasy after learning about the extermination as well as being pestered by Emily reminding her that Charlie was right, the souls can be saved, and that they killed thousands of innocent souls.
Sera might want Emily to stay silent about Sir Pentious for everyone and not tell Charlie about Sir Pentious so Charlie doesn't learn that souls can actually be redeemed, and this might cause a rift between Sera and Emily where Sera knows Emily is right but is so devoted to maintaining the order of Heaven that she can't allow herself to accept it; she'd feel guilty but doesn't show it, where as Emily would start to question Heaven and maybe even be so frustrated at the way of things that maybe Emily would make a trip to Hell to tell Charlie about Sir Pentious.
Possibly depending on Lute's and Lilith's actions, maybe if Emily tried returning to see Charlie, she would be confronted by Lute, who then captures her and takes her back to Heaven to be confronted by Sera after learning that Emily has been going behind Heaven's back, and despite Sera's objections, Lute suggests that Emily's actions go against Heaven's ideals and that Emily should be cast to Hell as a fallen angel.
If this does happen personally, I'd love to see a moment where, however, angels are cast out of heaven or hell and Emily turns to face Sera and tells her, "Better to be fallen than fall in line."
