Looks like Banpresto watched a fair bit of Gundam AGE, judging by this thing's attacks. And then sat down and had a thirteen year old design it. We Original the Machinery Barshem now.

that is a very good comparison, being the bergermill basicly a machine cell modified Hucky MkII.
it might not be what happen but there is logic to changing the huckebein. Considering how banpresto has been steadily becoming known , it's not strange for them to cut off any liablity that might bite them later on like copyright lawsuit. When someone's getting prosperous , everyone just want a piece of him.
It might have been a move in response to the whole "Huckebeins look like gundams too much", basically making a amped up AGE-3 with a pilot who doesn't hestitate to use its power.
It's like a mini SRX Banpreios except with lots of Strike Shield/Sword Breaker bits.
The problem is their disappearance is going beyond games/anime. Huckebein models being discontinued (for reasons they aren't allowed to discuss), and things like websites and artbooks (including reprints that originally had them). Even if it is still technically a rumor, the 'it looks too much like Gundam' explanation is only getting more and more confirmed.
The Gaia Savers (an... equivalent of the Titans sort to speak) destroyed them as part of a campaign against the heroes of the L2 campaign (our good guys) in order to dismantle most of their firepower as they were becoming... dangerous for some people within the earth sphere... but it was all a ruse by a certain person to gain the upper hand.
If I remember correctly, Ing was originally from an Alpha 2 manga.
Actually a lot of the OG model kits have been discontinued not just huckebeins. There are other original mechs that look like Gundams, for example the Duraxyl. In the new game OGS2 there's still 2 huckies left on the moon, Ring's 008 and the prototype that they are working on. Huckebein's are just getting an upgrade just like the Gespents/Grungust.
Pretty much what the designers were probably shooting for, which is kinda the obvious choice considering the pilot's background.
Terada himself said that Transformers is too expensive to license.
How I see it, the mech is a Bergelmir that got a makeover but lost its machine cells.
ehh, basicly a mashup of the 008's engine, the MkIII's T-Link sys and frame parts from the 009 ad MkII. I like the design of it... cept' for the fact that I believe it has TOO many Sliders. also, i liked it better with the shield on the arm.
ehhh... not exactly. The EX Exbein has 008's Black Hole Engine and 011's (MkIII) T-Link System (wich comes with the uranus system on it) as well as the recovered remaining structural parts of the 009 and 010 (MKII). The fact that Ing is a machinery children made by ... you know what, I ain't spoiling it for everyone but, there's something on that.
So this thing has a Tronium Engine, Black Hole Engine, T-Link System, and pretty much everything short of Antimatter Annihilation Engine, Crossgate Paradigm System, and Dis Lev in it. Where do you think this thing compares to Banpreios in terms of power, if not Granzon, Astranagant, and Dis Astranagant?
What's the in-game reason for the death of the Huckebein, than?
On a side note, one bad series isn't going to kill off the franchise completely (it's happened more than once for the Gundams, yet they've rebounded)
Yeah, if Terada's the man I think he is, it was probably designed that way in part just to spite his superiors at Bamco who made him remove Huckebeins on the basis that they might fool children into buying Huckebein models from Bandai's plamodel kit industry competitors thinking they were Gundam AGE models.
Cept gundams don't shoot black holes. But i am mad at the fact the crossbone gundam mk 2 reminds me of the huckebein strongly

Yeah, bring Huckebeins back and make Mk. III Gunner as OP as it was in Alpha.
Huckebein's being destroyed/redesign have nothing to do with them looking like Gundams. These are nothing more but baseless rumors that had never been confirmed. Huckebein are getting upgraded for the upcoming events much like Grungust Kai was changed from Purple recolor into something completely new.

Rolling Formation reminds me a bit of Infinity Cylinder, minus the reverting time to erase targets from existence.
When will they learn that by destroying just some of the heroes' units will only give rise to even more powerful units? (hopefully they'll never learn; that'll give me an excuse to beat the tar out of them)
