@@LateToGame Sorry, but in my opinion indiana jones and stalker 2 don't deserve to be xbox exclusives. I'm not talking about pc either, i'm talking about ps5. With what Spencer has recently said and with the current state of xbox, that is how I feel.
I honestly think it's a matter of time until Xbox begins publishing games in more places, overall. I've felt for this a few years based on their services strategy, and statements.

@@LateToGame I still feel that xbox is too reliant on gamepass to promote console sales which I don't have a series s or x. Hellblade 2 has stellar graphics, no denying that, but the game is short and my understanding is that there is less combat than hellblade 1. Another highly aniticipated game was scorn, which people thought would be really popular and a big title for xbox and it wasn't. I really hope that the perfect dark reboot or next pd is still in development, what are your thoughts on avowed, state of decay 3, fable and stalker 2? Do you think any of these games will be big enough to turn things around for xbox? And what happened to everwild? Is it no longer in development?
I honestly don't think hardware, or consoles, are the big aim for Xbox, and thus Microsoft, moving forward. I haven't felt that way for a few years.
Avowed looked interesting, but in certain elements, it doesn't seem like a game for me. That doesn't mean objectively it won't be great though! State of Decay and Fable will be good for them, but again, I think mainly from a software perspective.
From a macro game industry perspective, I don't think Xbox gaming is going anywhere, I just think their hardware focus will shift - whether they release more modular PC based consoles, or try to get game pass on as many devices globally, they're definitely going to see profits... Especially from their publishing efforts.

I’ve been hyped for this showcase since the ABK deal closed on Oct. 13 last year. The only Xbox franchise that I haven’t gotten into is Halo but I love all of their other franchises. I’m excited for everything that they can do with their hardware as well. I’m most excited for Gears 6 though. Also excited to hear about COD going into Game Pass & the back catalog that will go into Game Pass. Also you did excellent talking about my favorite gaming platform.

I think you may have missed some potentials; South of Midnight? Everwild? Clockwork Revolution? Probably something Minecraft, Flight Simulator, and an RTS game. They usually cover all the bases

I didn’t enjoy gears 4, thought the characters were generic and boring, I loved 5, I like that they made Diaz main, and changed JD look
I might be able to say the same thing, in terms of 5 being an improvement over 4, if it wasn't for the addition of the open world. If they just kept the stages of 5 but had a basic mission select like all the previous games, I would have loved it.

I think it’s funny that everyone is worried about Xbox, but these same concerns could be said for PlayStation this generation.
Gaming in general is suffering.
I think it's very fair to say that triple AAA gaming is suffering for sure. Don't disagree.

No, no,no. I'm sick of hearing this argument. Xbox and MS are in a league of their own fucking things up. Don't sugercoat it. Sony or Nintendo aren't going third party anytime soon for example.

Honestly, this isn't untrue. As the Xbox division has higher costs, Satya and the higher ups are going to naturally put a bigger hand into things. I just hope they stay committed to building the Xbox and gaming brand, vs cutting the rope altogether.

haha thank you - and to be fair, when I do talk about this type of stuff, I'd like to be as reasonably accurate as possible with the sources I utilize.
But in terms of an unexpected take, I do think it would be great to see some of the 360 era jrpgs get remade and re-released!

Doom is the only game I am exited for, I think all the others will probably be terrible.
Doom is def the one I'm most excited about, with gears right behind it. But doom 2016 and Eternal are some of my top favorite games in the last 10 years

YES! Finally got brave enough to play From software games last year - LOVED Dark Souls Remastered and Dark Souls 3. Beat all the DLCs. What a time! Need to continue Elden Ring!
@@LateToGame Dark Souls1/remastered is one of my all time favorite games, it is the only game I have done challenge runs for and started speed running. I find it funny that the first time I played Dark Souls I got stuck in Undead Burg for like 4 hours and quit playing the game for like a year, glad I went back and tried it again.
haha - I tried Dark Souls 2 back in like 2017, and after 2 hours I was like "Nah" - glad I went back to the series as well haha

Microsoft ain't ever leaving the gaming business. But I don't disagree, that they're focus isn't exclusively console anymore. I do see them wanting to be more of a publishing / IP / service powerhouse, and as weird as it is, I wouldn't be surprised if halo came to Sony at some point.
