I’ve had an Eagle II for about 6 years now and there’s just something special about it, it feels so perfect.

Thanks for the demo. Sounds wonderful for chromatic style or slower styles. Has a beautiful ring. Your playing is really nice.

I wish my ear was as discerning. I have a hard time picking out the individual "colors." However the overall sound is excellent. I am impressed that with so much sustain the note separation is very distinct!
Every time I watch one of these videos I am inspired to go pick up my Sierra, even though I am at a frustration place right now. That too shall pass, for Jens always reminds me to play my music, play for enjoyment and don't fall into the trap of comparing myself to any other banjo player.

I've been thinking a lot about finding a banjo that has the Selmer-Macaferri sort of tone color. Jens beat me to mentioning it in this demo!

Deering. I love my banjo, and I enjoy watching your videos, especially with Jens. But I have a small favor to ask. I’ve never seen him play the Phoenix, and I would just love to see what he could do on that thing.

Thanks Julianne! That was very intentional. Kind of a toungue in check joke of what happens when banjo players/Jens plugs in a banjo. :-)

Hi Ted...I am not sure what it is if it is not a pro banjo. It is a great choice and I am really happy you are enjoying it.

lot depends on amp settings that we er...missed.

Thanks for more "critical" feedback. Much appreciated. The purpose of the video is to highlight the pickup. Yes, amp settings can be a factor, but since amps/settings/gear is such a subjective topic in and of itself, this video is designed to highlight the Kavanjo pick-up. Appreciate all your comments though. 👍

this guy reminds me to play slower. His play it what happens when it begins to bounce off the top, but I also hate the shredders at guitar center

Are you serious? I'm kind of shocked -- obviously, everyone's ears are different, but to me it sounds golden and beautiful, like the sonic equivalent of liquid metal. Or it sounds smooth and honeyed.
