"Sometimes I remember it one way, Sometimes another, If I'm going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice."
Everyone thinks he fell into a vat of acid, seems pretty definitive to me.
The chemical bath it's almost 100% cannonical, what changes is his past and identity
@@paintedface7473 its canon that that story is not official
@@JinXMoon its not canonical, its literally only been done like once or twice in the comics and joker himself says its probably not what happened and the writers also confirmed theres not one definitive story, so no its not "100% cannonical" plz dont spread this false fact

I think that if Bruce Wayne/Batman saw joker fall a vat I'm pretty it's canonical that he fell into a vat. Especially since it's happened in different incarnations.

Where honor is a distant memory!
I have to say, Under the Red Hood was my favorite, followed by The Killing Joke and Gotham's. I hated the versions where Batman just threw Joker in or let him fall though, except for the one where he was evil.
I’m of the opposite opinion.
I don’t like that adaptations try to distance Batman from the event. It makes the fall look too contrived.
To me, it would be more meaningful and relevant if Batman *did* play a more active role. Perhaps he flung the Joker off the catwalk to battle the other thugs. Or maybe they fought before his No-Killing-rule was established, and wouldn’t have care for his opponent’s safety.
(The last one also serves as a weight of personal responsibility on Batman’s conscience. His Ultimate Failure, if you will.)
Joker's origin has always been either he fell in by accident(tripping while trying to escape or slipped while fight Batman) or he jumps in on purpose. Batman never in any version(except the one where he is evil) purposely pushes Joker into the chemicals.
Kyle Gmerek
It’s not that he directly pushes him in per se, but that Batman is more directly involved.
The _Gotham_ version is the best example of this, as Jeremiah’s fall was due to fighting while leaning on a rickety rail.
It doesn’t have to be intentional, just careless. That Time Batman Was Sloppy, if you will.
Making it just a mistake makes Batman not be the villain of the story. He's criminally negligent if he sees someone in a mask running for his life and actively tries to kill him.
Xander M
Reread my second comment. Carefully.
Loved the Gotham version of the Ace Chemicals fall. I also liked The Killing Joke and Under the Red Hood ones.
Cartoon Fanboy Agreed, but also the brave and the bold one. That one’s the most interesting in my opinion.

Donatelia Sakura not really he was tortured as he was only trying to make a living being a comedian until he borrowed money from the mafia and then chased by Batman. So he was looking for love and acceptance.
@@3rdwavemedia906 Not in that universe. He was a mobster and unrepentant murderer before he became the Joker
@@3rdwavemedia906 Jokers origin is still a mystery at times and never the same. The one you are talking about is the origin from killing joke where he was a failing comedian and joined a mafia heist so he could help his wife, personally my favorite. Other origins have him as a former mobster such as in BTAS, some have him as the actual mob boss red hood rather than just a civil man in his costume. I think one of the old Batman movies even has joker take the place of joe chill as the Wayne’s killer. In the new dc darkseid event theres even rumored to be 3 jokers in reality. Another origin has joker as an immortal being of chaos called the pale man. Jokers origin is never cold hard fact and shrouded in mystery even to us viewers. Joker even says he doesn’t know his own origin and prefers it to be “multiple choice”. My personal view on jokers origin is the killing joke version you stated, I think it gives joker lots of character building and still keeps him a unpredictable embodiment of chaos

He was actually revealed to be lying in order to manipulate others, including Harley Quinn.

Jared Leto's Joker was Joker before the chemicals
Heath Ledger's Joker is an anarchist
Gotham is the best ! sad it just have 3 more episodes left ! wish they renew again :"(
Honestly, with its history and how many times Joker takes over/blows up the chemical plant, I'm surprised Ace is still even open.
Cameron Monaghan the best ever !
no
Yes, he is.
Gameking I don’t why? But he is so good. Gimme reasons on why he can’t act.. I’m waiting
Cameron Monaghan did a really good job. What I think was really creative was he took 3 jokers and put it into 1. The Jack Nicholson smile. The mark hamill laugh. And the heath ledger personality. And that is super cool. But, however, you can't say he was THE BEST joker. Alot of people will say heath ledger is still awesome no doubt. And to be honest, I have to agree with them. I truly dont believe that anybody could do better than the ledger joker. I mean all jokers are good though (except Jared leto) so it may be hard to compare.

That's actually Owlman, an evil Batman from a parallel dimension.
What's funny is that after that, Red Hood still was one of the good guys.
Before: throw him in chemicals
2019: throw him in a society
In MY OPINION Gotham’s was my favorite. Cameron Monaghan is an actual PHENOMENAL actor. If you think hes not, that’s your opinion and I respect that, but He was able to play Jerome which was PERFECT he had an amazing laugh and Jeremiah’s performance was also AMAZING because if u see just the chemical falling scene you will think it was terrible but the actual background of that scene (pretty much the whole episode) he acting in that was amazing. Tbh I found his fall the most realistic, (well besides the chemical that looked like Nickelodeon slime), the way he fell was great because it shows how the bar was already has broken and he wasnt falling by him just being clumsy. Instead of him being just randomly coming out all white skinned, green haired evil dude he was already white skinned before due to something in the earlier season, but he came out hairless and wrinkly looking which is honestly more possible to happen instead of randomly going insane from falling in some chemicals.

WOW! I never knew until now that the Batman in the reenactment about the Joker's transformation at the beginning the episode "Beware The Creeper" at 0:32 to 0:38, was a Easter egg to the Batman in those old black and white live-action Batman & Robin serials from the 1940's, I can't believe I missed that while watching this as a kid.
The way the Jack Napier falls(due to Batman's haymaker) is very similar to Detective Comics #27, where Batman punches the villain of that story and he falls over the railing to his "fitting end" in a vat of chemicals. And that one wasn't even a Joker story.
