Returns is fantastic in so many ways.
Here, Bruce Wayne's entrance to the Batcave -- an iron maiden -- is another form of psychology through Expressionism: when he enters it's through a torture device.
It's a really nice statement on the character's childish and screwed up nature.

I think the batcaves in the Arkham games are amazing and the one in The Dark Knight. With the "disabling counter measures" voice and all. Plus I really wonder how the batcaves are made. Like Bruce Wayne can't build the entire stuff can he? He would definitely need workers right which in turn kinda reveals the identity of the Batman?

Love how the same entrance to the Batcave from the grandfather clock is shown 5 times here as Batman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures, Batman Beyond, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited are all set in the same continuity. Although, didn't Batman have a different entrance to the Batcave to start with in TAS? Like in the episode "The Last Laugh", where a sliding bookcase leads to the Batcave.

Well in most versions the Bat-Cave is a natural cave that resides beneath Wayne Manor and Bruce & Alfred just built everything inside the cave by themselves (Bat Computer, Batmobile, Armory ect.). Some other versions they have additional help from Lucius Fox or some hunchback dude (Don't remember the name)

I had a very strong reaction to this video and I know exactly why that is...
Whenever I see a compilation like this or a comparison kind of video, it makes me realize just how fricken underrated and underappreciated BvS is (and all of Snyder's DC movies tbh). This made it crystal clear and beyond obvious that Zack Snyder gave us the perfect blend of the 90's & '89 Batmobile (which were always my favorite) and the more rugged/tactical Nolan Batmobile. He created, BY FAR, the best external Batcave entrance for the Batmobile. The Batcave itself isn't over-done, it's just so cool. I think I have a pretty good idea a to why people didn't see or recognize it at the time and why many still haven't realized or acknowledged it or given it the respect it deserves... the reason I suspect is we didn't really get to spend enough time in or around it and whenever we did it wasn't immediately obvious that's where we were unlike other movies where you knew when you were in or entering the Batcave, you'd get the big wide shots of the cave everytime. Then the Batmobile wasn't ever seen very clearly or was either too dark or there was too much movement/shakines. You never really had the chance to just see it, there weren't any of those nice clean (and well-lit) shots of it. None of those things I just pointed out are direct criticisms or anything negative whatsoever.
As a child I become, pretty much, obsessed with Batman because of things like this... disguised entrances, secret passages, hidden doors and of course his gadgets.
It's really crazy but Zack Snyder really did give us so many of the things we loved and wanted. That BvS Batcave entrance and the batmobile driving down the tunnel to the main section was just perfection and our looked and felt like it was pulled right out of a comic or one of the animated shows. Acms I can say that about nearly every single scene in that movie, specifically-
Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice [Ultimate Edition]
There are the simple facts that everyone should be aware of by this point; not only does he have the best look/superhero outfit (costume just makes it sound silly) & overall brand, he's the MOST:
    •Honorable •Loyal •Invested •Dedicated •Passionate •Badass superhero of all time
Oh and let's not forget, he is THE MOST intelligent, hands down... it might seem like he is on the same level as Tony Stark as both of them are tech genius, however, on top of being a "tech genius" Batman is the "world's greatest detective". His book & street smarts surpass those of the great Sherlock Holmes himself (there was actually an awesome episode in one of the animated shows, where they work together). The Batman is basically Tony Stark + Banner/Hulk + Sherlock Holmes + Thrawn... and Thrawn is technically a comic book character so I'm including him sense he's basically seen as the greatest tactician in Star Wars.

In the '70s comics, they had a Batcave under the Wayne Enterprises building (which resembled "The Dark Knight" "cave (way too bright), with a residence penthouse. DC moved Bruce "in town" in a misguided attempt to make him more "modern", with a Ferrari-style Batmobile...
