Durability Update Killed Lux / Any Burst Mage who is ultimate reliant (Zoe is strong cuz she is 5 second CD and good kit)
My peak is only D2, but I don't think that durability patch put Lux completely in the dirt. Maybe she is dead in high elo, but she is completely viable otherwise. I still see Lux supports domanating games, being most damage and all. Just my two cents tho

do you think enchanter lux (most likely supp) would be good now? I know there are much better enchanters to use out there, but if you still wanted to play Lux would that be the way to go compared to burst dmg?

As for the lux “dominating” games comment, that’s total bs not supported by statistics. Lux as laner can at least snowball faster than everyone else (occasionally when one plays extremely well). Lux as sup loses so much of her dmg windows are so non existent, she is even more useless. Doesnt do well for dmg. Doesnt do much for cc nor heal.
@@hasbaconinpantss9476 lux base shield got nerfed recently and enchanter runes and items got mega nerfed too, enchanter lux really isn't good anymore imo

That problem you had on around minute 11:00 also happened to me, today has been awful for the servers (August 12), it happened twice and my internet was A okay, so its a League problem
could be the network card overheating no ?
Do you use any overlays or other recording programs? I've seen them cause it but not if LoL is the only program running.

aight so 1st, I'm sorry idk what the network card is so I'm not sure in that aspect, and in terms of the overlay, just the discord overlay, and since league is weird, it's sometimes there and sometimes isn't
As a masters lux main, I would say the durability patch made her a BIT weaker in some aspects but also helped her in a way too. In high elo it’s harder to make lux work but in low elo, she’s a good support and mid. I basically go for a full nuke build tho to kinda compensate through the durability patch. I go dark harvest with cheap shot, eyeball collection, last slot is preference. Then I absolute focus with gathering storm. You will also need a tear with this build but it’s worth it because you’ll chunk for hella damage and u scale amazing. I feel like this is probs lux’s best runes/build rn tbh since comet and aery aren’t bad but they don’t give u the scaling of dark harvest
Comet makes your laning phase a tad easier however DH is really bad atm it has been nerfed a lot and after durability patch and considering that lux is very mana hungry especially in the early state of the game it makes it hard to proc. Also D.shield makes it even harder to proc. DH was quite fun but nowadays it just works on low elo.

i think you'd have had a better chance with first strike and other scaling runes because of how long this game went. i know you were going for a lane domination build so it's a grass is always greener situation i guess. but i agree lux is terrible now, and you'd probably still lose with scaling runes, as a lux main i hate how riot gutted the champ with durability update and gave 0 compensations while they buff their assassins and other classes because they're too weak
And it's funny considering she has a very low CD ult with a 100% AP ratio. Like let's really not try to pretend like her ult won't almost 1-shot any adc or mid laner if they get caught up with Q.
However, the Q+E damage /mana/cd sucks has it as always sucked, making Lux a support really.
They get massively out scaled here, not at all the game to focus on scaling builds and getting to end game efficiently and safely. Hence why he was looking for a lane pressure build, especially with a xin jungle.
Was unfortunate how much pressure he faced in his lane mid, wasn't matched or offset elsewhere by his team so just an example of unfortunate team and game.
Agreed how lux feels though.

@@AC-be5gu if you're low elo you should just got for dark harvest and gathering storm runes and mejis first back. 9/10 enemies suck ass and with three good fights you can dominate everyone, but even than building one Mr item and some hp can save you vs lux lol...

I used to LOVE lux like s4 and s5. Then I climbed to diamond and for a looong time I have never picked her again since it LUX seriously lacks dmg and speed and is easily outplayed by people with perception that can simply sidestep.
Feel glad this got confirmed. If Pekin cant do it its no wonder my sorry ass cant pull it off.
If you want your ult to be fast, just play Steel Legion Lux, the ult on that skin just feels faster

Pekin those random dcs might be lag spikes from bad routing. they propably only last a very short time so you dont notice any internet loss, but its long enough for lol to dc you. i had the same problem and a vpn solved that issue for me.
you are probably one of the best midlaners who has an amazing reset knowledge, you almost always lose nothing when you back. imo it is one the best skills to master as a midlaner

I love Pekin. I think his Lux is great, but this is the part where I have to point out one thing as a Lux main because if I don't say it I might shit my pants.
Ult was held for around 10 minutes between 14 minutes - 22 or so. Don't be stingy with Lux ult. Start blasting. Obviously try to have it for important fights, but there is really no reason to hold it so hard. The cooldown is so low you can really use it without much penalty. I'm even in the camp that using it down lane on creeps isn't that bad at all.
I was laning against an Akali as lux. So you know she pushed the wave and then roamed bot. I pinged them 6 times back up Akali is coming and i proceeded to push wave and take turret plating. Bot never backed up and then started flaming me. Like CMON MAN
I would love if you played other roles (obviously on smurf accounts). Your commentaries and the things you explain in general are really wise and enjoyable to watch, it would be nice if you played adc and explained your positioning, jungle and when to invade or take objtectives, support and when to roam or where to ward and why. Have you seen cupic/yozu's build on lux? They go crown, sorc, mejais, zhonyas, deathcap, void | Runes: Aery/Comet, manaflow, absolute focus, scorch, cheapshot, ingenious hunter | Summoners: Flash, Ignite
Use "e" before "q" and you'll land the snare more often. The whole video you send out snares, if they are slowed from e first it's easier.

11:00 i have ran into this issue multiple times and still do when go to my grandparents. They have different internet providers than we do, so i am just guessing its not on our end. Could be bad cables, but I can't confirm yet

lux feels terrible after the durability patch, it's not even worth playing her supp cause she's also bad there she needs a buff
i understand not using ult just randomly in lane without cc. The thing that annoys me is when you dont use it in chokepoints where theres 2 or 3 people in a small space and theyre fighting your team. coz in those spaces even if theyre not cced they have little space to move and they have to choose whether to dodge your ult or your teammate's skills
the random dc thing used to happen to me quite a lot, at one point I talked to customer service and they told me to like check my internet, see if maybe my PC is running low on storage and stuff. but then it happened again and they haven't replied after I sent them another message, so its for sure smth on their end
11:20 it happened to both me and my bf. (not at the same time, btw). League disconnects, but I'm watching a stream - your stream heh - and the stream is up, running normally, showing that my internet is ok. Same thing for my bf.
Blows me away to see that high ELo Lux is so hard to play, because her range and her kit feels so strong in low elo
that issue you were having at 11min with the disconnect. i used to get that few times a day. now like once a week. I thought it was because i started playing on wifi on my laptop but just like you, internet fine and can reconnect immediately. then i started thinking i'm getting ddos'ed because it would always happen as i'm winning a fight. no idea what causes it tbh.
Anybody remember the Ultimate Challenge phase in league forever ago? It was some website that would give you a character, role, and build. It made for some really silly Customs..and some really troll normals.

Had the same disconnect issue with Tunnel Bear VPN. Swapped VPNS and solved the problem for me.
13:59 - Didn't they change the way red burn works so it can't kill blue buff along with Twitch and Darius bleed affects? I was pretty sure you can't kill those buffs with burn damage anymore. Did they revert that change?

Idk what champ would have won that in challenger? Their Diana didn't get fed off of you, but Xin and Gragas. Xin gets hard outscaled by Diana anyway. Gragas couldn't match Camilles split AND tped to his immediate death. Who would have won that champion-wise?
Viktor, Zoe, Syndra, Leblanc would have kits that allow me to take my lead and snowball without needing my teammates. Not saying I would win but it would give me a better chance

The same stupid bug has been happening to me where my internet and ping are fine but League just does not let me move my champion or use abilities in game like I timed out, it fixes after I wait a few seconds, but it happened in a few fights and it gets very tilting. No idea what causes it

the DC issue happens to me way to often. I have a good enough connection but sometimes league decides to put me on stable 200ms. Restart magically solves it. I hate it

I've had that same problem at about 11 minutes, for over a year now. Sometimes I can just reconnect; other times I have to restart my whole pc to fix it...
edit: And I'm sure its not my pc thats the problem. I try the same thing you do, checking my internet; I've even launched other games and everything works perfectly fine; except league.

What an incredibly terrible game to queue into as Lux: Camile, Yone, and Diana. Seriously? Those are three COMPLETELY overstacked champions that don't care at all about how far they get behind as they move into the midgame. They get one item and they can absolutely 100-0 everyone on your team except for Gragas in a second.
Playing Lux into this comp REALLY shows how degenerate the game has become. Lux's abilities are slow, their ratios are modest at best, her shield is too small to allow trades in lanes (single ability blows throw it AND still delivers damage), and even her long wind-up ultimate doesn't do enough damage to kill a support from 50% health with TWO items.

I’m silver and I used to play last time I was silver a lot of mid. And let me tell you the amount of games id just lose by either not getting peeled when I’m really feed or my team just not following up snares and heavy pokes. I stopped playing her in rank after that. You just cant carry
It feels like im the only one who thinks lux feels fine. I wouldn't mind a buff, but i think shes playable rn. I play not to 1shot anymore, but to harass and deny my laner farm and rotations to fights with my cc, as well as locking down opponents in fights. Sure I'm not carrying or anything, but i feel helpful and like im impacting the game. Sure i could probably do that on neeko or seraphine but lux's kit feels nice to use since my ultis can impact fights far from me.
this playstyle was fine in season 5 or so. there are just so many champs, who just don't care how far they fall behind. you see it in this yone. he was behind but gets some minions at a sidelane. now he has his first item and will still kill you.
I also can win games with Lux but with every loss, no matter how far ahead I am, I felt helpless. when you got fed mitlane but your toplaner feeds the enemy Garen or Olaf, you loose everytime unless your ADC gigasmurfs the game. you can't do anything at that point because the 200 years bruiserbuffs will run you down the second you appear on the same screen and is ghost is ready. with the udyr rework coming, we will just get another Champ Lux can't ever kill.
and the best part? they don't even have to build MR. I had a full armor shivana in one game and our ADC was more of a killthreat to her than I ever could be. not to mention, that she still had more than enough dmg to kill me of and ofc her ult jump ignores snares as well.
Lux has no dmg unless vs the most squishy champs, who also fail to build any protection. the enemy has Vayne but got Shieldbow? now you can't combo her anymore unless she is extremly behind vs you. but same level, similar gold? no way. that is the sad state of Lux. I have played her for years and never felt so helpless playing her. I wish we had the assasin meta back. at least I was able to kill, when my enemy missplays
Honestly ive long accepted i can't 1v1 bruisers and tanks on any champ that isnt also a bruiser or a tank. I always build liandry and early void on lux if theres more than 1 tank/bruiser on the enemy team and it feels good. Im visibly chunking their hp with each e cast, and ive learned to hang near and play around my team's bruiser/200years reset carry. Sure other champs can do it better and i might as well just q support, but it feels good and im winning games off it so its alright in my books. Gold players aren't high elo, but at the same time gold/silver is what id consider your "average" league player, so id like to think its fine.
@@RanPizza well thats the problem. If I get fed, I deserve to be more than "a Q support" if the enemy 0/6 bruiser split top and noone on my team wants to meet him, I can't go either. If I have 1 item on him, doesn't matter because he has a good shot at getting a shutdown. this is not acceptable. if he is even and the wrong member in my team is a potato, I die every teamfight. no counterplay.
If I'm fed, I want to feel important. most other champs will just kill enemies left and right when fed. I'm not even allowed to combo a carry, because he has shieldbow in his dmg build included.
nice if it somehow works for you but for me, I can't stand it any longer. Lux was much better during the Assasin meta. I had more skill expression during this time than I have now
