- Upgrading my first iPod from back in 2021(?), only this time it's more than just aesthetics... well, half aesthetics, and then new storage (FINALLY) since the drive was nearing it's end.

there seems to be some mic interference when u speak, love the music tho, could be a lil lower to hear you clearer. ty for the vid, i've been meaning to mod my old ipod as well
The strange mic sounds are due to the optical image stabilization in the phone, that phone being the Lumia 1020 which is 11 years old at this point lmao. But yeah it's definitely a good time for iPod nodding
Its a great video and lets me see whats inside the ipod but you may want to try to record your voice after the fact and overlay it ontop the video's audio. That way you can fully control what everyone is hearing.

I attempted to do this but when I plug it in to my laptop and try to restore the iPod I get an error 1429. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I like your videos, but maybe try to improve the sound.
Sometimes it's hard to understand what you're saying.
That is something I've noticed thank you, it is somewhat due to the way I talk on clips, but mostly I need an external mic to go closer to my face rather than the phone mic which faces away from me
