    A portuguese boy named Rui Pedro was one of the unfortunatly few childrren identified. Portuguese authorities did nothing to persue evidence found in Operation Cathedral. Images and videos of him being abused and tortured...It pains us portuguese citizens the fact that this happened and our police force at the time did nothing. He would be 35 now i believe. His mom has never stoped seraching for him, she says the day she stops is the day she's dead. Another boy also named Rui went missing 2 days before, no one searched for him and he is even less spoken about.

    At the age of 8 I was molested by a man who was in the US visiting family. He was from Lebanon. I had to tell immediately because he chased me home after I broke free. My brother invoked a little family justice by knocking his front teeth out as he tried to get me in my home. He did not go to jail, he was shipped back to Lebanon to continue his abuse. I lived in fear, had nightmares and started wetting the bed. I am glad my brother beat him unconscious and toothless! This man was in his 30s and my brother 15.

      By far, one of the most uncomfortable podcasts I’ve ever listened to. It was fascinating to hear how they busted this group of perverted SOB’s though.
      How on earth does do men allow themselves to become so absolutely creepy? They have to know normal people would take them “out back”, if given half a chance.

    This case hits too close to home. The memories that came flooding back while listening to the details of Allison's mother pushing her to open up, the way Allison had reacted to the abuse by emotionally withdrawing and retreating into her own head. It isn't healthy for a kid to keep a secret like that, but when they aren't ready to open up, it's the hardest thing in the world to have your inner world ripped out. I was the same age as Allison when I was confronted with the truth, too.
    These people never change. I haven't had contact with my abuser in over a decade, but the individual went to jail in 2020 for possession of child porn.
    He is to be released in 24 days.

  • @wiebkescantick947
    @wiebkescantick947 Před 13 dny

    This is absolutely horrific and, in my opinion, the worst case you have covered. I was molested multiple times by multiple people as a child and adult. My abuse was not severe as many people who have suffered. However, it has still had a lasting impact on me. I'm 57 now. This case made me cry and want to vomit. Those children that came forward are true brave heroes and I hope that they have been able and continue to heal. Child molestation is extremely prevalent everywhere. The perpetrators who are caught, charged, and convicted need stronger sentences and should be on the sex offenders registry for life. Thank you to everyone who assisted in the convictions of these despicable human beings.

    With disgusting sentences given out to these sub human men, i would put these men in a room with either the mothers of child victims or just good mothers whos innate response is to shield & protect not just their own but any child.
    Let the mothers deal with them the way these men had total disregard for their child victims
    I promise you, these sub human beasts would think twice before committing such crimes again knowing what punishment they would receive.

    The latest sting similar to this is called "Operation Broken Heart" and has found thousands more predators, making several hundred arrests. (2018-2020) Sadly, this is a problem that is not going away. We need harsh sentences, strict follow up, and especially parents who make it a priority to know everything their kids are doing. Their safety depends on us all!!

      We all do. Just different kind of threats. Im a former career criminal with mostly involved in theft, sale of stolen goods, blackmailing and some violent crimes when such were needed. To cause pain is in human nature. Well, uneducated human nature but like you said: some never change.

      @@ilkkarautio2449??? No we all aren't, lol. I'm not a threat, I've never committed a crime, I care deeply about people as I am an empath and I would rather die than let someone suffer knowing full well I could've done something to help.
      Causing pain is not human nature. It is the behavior of creatures who do not care for the life and rights of others.

  • @3_up_moon
    @3_up_moon Před 3 lety +13

    The real problem here is the legislation. Why were the people making the laws giving such lenient sentences?
    This problem goes up the ladders of power and those making the laws are likely guilty of such offenses themselves.
    These are the people that do not deserve the luxury of freedom around our children. It is up to the government to protect us from these individuals.
    Ever since Hamurabi, this has been the duty of the government.
    If the government does not accomplish this task, they are no longer functioning as a government.
