Hello! I came over here from LeggLife- been watching them for about 3 years. Fun cruise vlog- can't wait for more! My husband and I are also in CA, up in Silicon Valley. We have two daughters as well, just a bit younger- 4 and almost 7. We cruised a few times before they were born and once when they were 1 and almost 4. We were supposed to return last summer...then this past summer...now it should finally happen next summer! Until then, I'll live vicariously through you and others. :)
My family and I (we're all at least 12 years old and vaccinated) are finally going on our first Disney cruise, the 2 Week Very Merrytime Panama Canal Cruise that's going out of San Diego on November 5th, so we've been literally solely depending on videos such as yours, strictly for any information and advice you have, just because there is so little of it to be found anywhere, especially now, so I just wanted to personally thank you, so much, for everything you are and have been doing. I really enjoyed your vlog!!! My family sailed on the Wonder in 2003. The ship has changed quite a bit from what I remember. I just found our travel booklet while cleaning. I remember our son being so disappointed he couldn't go to the area for teens as he was only 12. My daughter was really shy and rarely went to the explorers club. Animators Palate was so fun. We all loved it. Looking forward to more vlogs 😊

Will always appreciate content creators when they're honest and yessss, people always rave about those crab claws and they're bland as all can be. Being from Maryland also, clearly, they don't match up 😂😜. We've been on 6 cruises and we still haven't done everything. There's always something new every visit. That beet salad at animators is sooooo good. That lemon box pie is always in my dreams too. Having grown up in CA not far from the ocean, we love fresh seafood and crab - something we would never expect to be on a cruise ship. That said most of the food was amazing! We can’t wait to sail a again next year!
My first Disney Cruise was the Disney Dream and that ship was amazing just beautiful and the employees where so nice and respectful. This year I’m going back and I’m going to take my niece for her first time. I know she is going to be so happy and have fun.

Thx!! Yeah having the luxury of living on the West Coast, having access to fresh seafood and having traveled places where we really enjoyed amazing food and seafood, it’s hard not to compare it. But it is a cruise ship & in spite of that, Disney still did an overall amazing job with the food!
Discovered you way after this and I am going back to watch some videos. So interesting to see the girls so much younger....at least they seem so! Would love to cruise out of San Diego! It looked too cold to go down a water slide!

Very excited to see a "teen" family perspective. We sail on our Very First Disney cruise in February, and our youngest (and only one not grown and flown) is 16. A bit older, but still interested in how your girls enjoy it. Please share with your oldest that we named our puppy Eliza, cause is there any better namesake?? I think not!

Our oldest did go to check out vibe during its open house, and we had the opportunity to sign a waiver so she could go, but she wanted to stay on edge so she could be around others more her age. On day four, there was a group of teens that came to karaoke from vibe but I’ll sing a song together, which was awesome, and it showed how much they had connected throughout the cruise in the club. My guess is, if your daughter is open to connecting with others near her own age, she will have a great time at Vibe! The leaders seem to be really good at making the clubs accessible and fun for everyone who comes.
Did you guys see Ordinary Adventures? What a trip you guys had! I almost died on a trail today, I would've definitely rather been on a disney cruise 🤣. I like your mandalorian mask.
It was so exciting watching your video from the start that I applauded when you (thought you were all cleared from the test. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 but then there was that glitch 😕. Going on my first Disney cruise end of February next year! Taking my mama. I want to get the photos package but my mom hates her picture being taken so I dunno if it would be worth it( I love photography and getting my picture taken) also I used to work at that cruise ship terminal; gonna be weird going back as a guest. Lol
We hope you both have lots of fun!! Especially going on a cruise, not just seeing others get on board 😀 We got the photo package. We aren’t getting it for our second cruise (coming in 42 days!!) a lot of $ for a 7 night cruise! It saves you $ to get it in advance but if you don’t use it or don’t feel it was worth it, you can ask for a refund at the end of the cruise.
We stayed at the Spring Hill Suites Downtown/Bayfront in a corner room with a port view. We didn’t have a car, we flew and took a Lyft to the hotel, since the airport is so close (10 min) to the port. I have heard you can park your car next door at the Wyndham during a cruise if you are driving, but you can call Spring Hill Suites if they have availability for that too!
Found your channel through Legglife. I met Adam and Sheri after recognizing them In World of Disney one evening while I was working. We are getting ready to cruise in February out of New Orleans on the Wonder. I love your enthusiasm and excitement!!
We did! We got the digital package. You can buy it ahead of time and once you see the pics they take, if you like them, keep it. If you found you didn’t take many pics of font like the images, just ask for a refund and they will do that too. What we loved the most… there were NO cheesy borders on all the pictures! I was hoping they would do away with that. They only have the ship name/logo on the bottom right corner of each image.
Hey, i am a little confused about the 3 days before rule for children under 5 testing. My son is 1 and we have to get him a covid test. We sail out on Monday February 28th, so does that mean i need to take him to get tested on the Friday the 25th? I just want to make sure i complete everything correct. Thanks and love your channel.
You are correct that the rule changed for age to be vaccinated (5 years and up I believe) in early January. On our sailing it was 12 and up. According to DCL’s “Know Before You Go” page on their site - “Guests who are not vaccine-eligible because of age must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result (paid for by the Guest) taken between 3 days and 24 hours before their sail date. Guests ages 4 and under must complete the testing requirements.” So for your son, you’re correct you can get his test done starting the 25th. The closest to the cruise you can get them tested is 24 hours before your sale date (the morning of the 27th) it needs to be a lab-base PCR or an NAAT test. I recommend having two plans, just in case. You just wanna make sure you have the test results back as soon as possible. We found that going with Walgreens or Rite Aid was not reliable as far as when we get the results back so we paid for a rapid naat test. Annoying because of the cost, but important to relieve the stress as you are heading out on vacation.

We stayed at the SpringHill Suites on PCH (900 Bayfront Ct.). We got a “corner room” to get a great view of the cruise terminal if you want that. Have lots of fun!!!

Glad you found us! I (Chris) got the free artwork from a Facebook group and printed it, laminated it (with a $30 laminator I got on Amazon), cut out the parts and slapped a sticker magnet on all the parts. You can also find people on Etsy who design, make and sell them too. Hope that helps!

Hi!! So glad to have you here! You should check out our “Getting Ready” video from about 3 weeks ago. We filmed and talked about the pre cruise test in that one. We got results in about an hour, but we had to pay extra for that. We also talked about why we were doing that in the video before that one as well. Hope it’s helpful!! We stayed at Springhill Suites right across from the cruise terminal. Much nicer than the Wyndham, & that corner room is amazing! We show more of the room in the video right before this one on our travel day 😊
We probably paid the lowest amount for a family of four for this cruise because of the inside state room guaranteed rate we got. The cost for a Disney cruise is different for every party that sails. Best way to look at prices as go to Disney Cruise Line website and search for sailings. It depends on the time of year, if it’s a unique sailing, how many days you’re sailing, lots of factors of playing into the price.

Like an easy flow setup? I'm worried I won't know where or what to do after each step. Unless they make it all obvious lol
I can only speak to our experience in San Diego, but yes it’s very easy and accessible. They have people working at the port there that will first take your luggage, then they let you know where to go into the port building. As soon as you get in the port building, it’s a guided step-by-step process. There are cast members/port workers that help you through each step and point you in the direction you need to go and are happy to answer questions along the way! Very simple 👍😊

Thx!! Yeah having the luxury of living on the West Coast, having access to fresh seafood and having traveled places where we really enjoyed amazing food and seafood, it’s hard not to compare it. But it is a cruise ship & in spite of that, Disney still did an overall amazing job with the food!

Very excited to see a "teen" family perspective. We sail on our Very First Disney cruise in February, and our youngest (and only one not grown and flown) is 16. A bit older, but still interested in how your girls enjoy it. Please share with your oldest that we named our puppy Eliza, cause is there any better namesake?? I think not!
🤣 She will love to hear that! Thanks! Our oldest did go to check out vibe during its open house, and we had the opportunity to sign a waiver so she could go, but she wanted to stay on edge so she could be around others more her age. On day four, there was a group of teens that came to karaoke from vibe but I’ll sing a song together, which was awesome, and it showed how much they had connected throughout the cruise in the club. My guess is, if your daughter is open to connecting with others near her own age, she will have a great time at Vibe! The leaders seem to be really good at making the clubs accessible and fun for everyone who comes.

Going on my first Disney cruise end of February next year! Taking my mama. I want to get the photos package but my mom hates her picture being taken so I dunno if it would be worth it( I love photography and getting my picture taken) also I used to work at that cruise ship terminal; gonna be weird going back as a guest. Lol
We hope you both have lots of fun!! Especially going on a cruise, not just seeing others get on board 😀 We got the photo package. We aren’t getting it for our second cruise (coming in 42 days!!) a lot of $ for a 7 night cruise! It saves you $ to get it in advance but if you don’t use it or don’t feel it was worth it, you can ask for a refund at the end of the cruise.

What hotel were you staying at that was right across from the port? We’re you able to keep your car parked there during cruise?
We stayed at the Spring Hill Suites Downtown/Bayfront in a corner room with a port view. We didn’t have a car, we flew and took a Lyft to the hotel, since the airport is so close (10 min) to the port. I have heard you can park your car next door at the Wyndham during a cruise if you are driving, but you can call Spring Hill Suites if they have availability for that too!

Looks like you had a great time. Did you purchase the picture package ahead of time? and which one?
We did! We got the digital package. You can buy it ahead of time and once you see the pics they take, if you like them, keep it. If you found you didn’t take many pics of font like the images, just ask for a refund and they will do that too. What we loved the most… there were NO cheesy borders on all the pictures! I was hoping they would do away with that. They only have the ship name/logo on the bottom right corner of each image.

Hey, i am a little confused about the 3 days before rule for children under 5 testing. My son is 1 and we have to get him a covid test. We sail out on Monday February 28th, so does that mean i need to take him to get tested on the Friday the 25th? I just want to make sure i complete everything correct. Thanks and love your channel.
You are correct that the rule changed for age to be vaccinated (5 years and up I believe) in early January. On our sailing it was 12 and up. According to DCL’s “Know Before You Go” page on their site - “Guests who are not vaccine-eligible because of age must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result (paid for by the Guest) taken between 3 days and 24 hours before their sail date. Guests ages 4 and under must complete the testing requirements.” So for your son, you’re correct you can get his test done starting the 25th. The closest to the cruise you can get them tested is 24 hours before your sale date (the morning of the 27th) it needs to be a lab-base PCR or an NAAT test. I recommend having two plans, just in case. You just wanna make sure you have the test results back as soon as possible. We found that going with Walgreens or Rite Aid was not reliable as far as when we get the results back so we paid for a rapid naat test. Annoying because of the cost, but important to relieve the stress as you are heading out on vacation.

We stayed at the SpringHill Suites on PCH (900 Bayfront Ct.). We got a “corner room” to get a great view of the cruise terminal if you want that. Have lots of fun!!!

Glad you found us! I (Chris) got the free artwork from a Facebook group and printed it, laminated it (with a $30 laminator I got on Amazon), cut out the parts and slapped a sticker magnet on all the parts. You can also find people on Etsy who design, make and sell them too. Hope that helps!

Hi!! So glad to have you here! You should check out our “Getting Ready” video from about 3 weeks ago. We filmed and talked about the pre cruise test in that one. We got results in about an hour, but we had to pay extra for that. We also talked about why we were doing that in the video before that one as well. Hope it’s helpful!! We stayed at Springhill Suites right across from the cruise terminal. Much nicer than the Wyndham, & that corner room is amazing! We show more of the room in the video right before this one on our travel day 😊
How much money $ did you paid for your Disney cruise?
We probably paid the lowest amount for a family of four for this cruise because of the inside state room guaranteed rate we got. The cost for a Disney cruise is different for every party that sails. Best way to look at prices as go to Disney Cruise Line website and search for sailings. It depends on the time of year, if it’s a unique sailing, how many days you’re sailing, lots of factors of playing into the price.

Another question haha, as you go through this process from beginning to end, like testing, security etc...do they post signs or have someone telling you where to go next? Like an easy flow setup? I'm worried I won't know where or what to do after each step. Unless they make it all obvious lol
I can only speak to our experience in San Diego, but yes it’s very easy and accessible. They have people working at the port there that will first take your luggage, then they let you know where to go into the port building. As soon as you get in the port building, it’s a guided step-by-step process. There are cast members/port workers that help you through each step and point you in the direction you need to go and are happy to answer questions along the way! Very simple 👍😊
