    Totally agree. Everyone bought a ticket and should be able to accommodate adults with their area. Great point, like the information shared on your channel 👏

    Thanks. Very helpful video. We prefer the Fantasy, but we're trying the Wish in September.

    I mean, all the kids have their own dedicated space? Why shouldn’t the adults? I haven’t been on the Wish yet but love that the other ships have their own little corner or adult only spaces

      Because not everything’s about adults I’ve been to hotels cruises everything and they have adult clubs and casino they couldn’t even make room for like a arcade or something especially at a cruise dedicated for kids and there actually is a area dedicated too adults

      There are adult only lounges

      @@Billionz1000 I understand that, but they are not set up the same in their own little corner like the other ships.

    Appreciate the overall DCL review on how things work! Sailing on our first ever cruise in April, of course it’s gonna be Disney…4 nights on the Fantasy, so excited!!

    Been to DCL 4 times, the last time on the Fantasy, food quality was poor.
    I wrote it on the comment card, gave it a low score, expecting someone to reach out to us to discuss. Sadly Disney didn't

      Thats too bad, sometimes thats a benefit of using a travel agent like goldgell getaways. We have a direct connection with the cruise lines and we are often relaying information back to the cruises from guests and hear back almost immediately.

    Hi Josh. Husband and I are going on our first cruise and first disney cruise for our baby moon. Right now we have 4 night with Fantasy booked going to Lookout Cay but I think we want to change to go to Castaway Cay but it would have to be on the Wish. You think the Wish will still be great? I know people love the Fantasy. Heard Castaway is better too.

    • @travelwithjoshandtaylor
      @travelwithjoshandtaylor  Před 25 dny +1

      We have yet to visit Lookout Cay, but as time goes on and they make adjustments we are sure it will be great. I think no matter what ship you choose you will have a great time because it’s your first Disney cruise! You will be overwhelmed by the decor, characters, food and all the activities. Castaway cay is great and if you’re able to visit the adult side definitely do it, but again no matter which one you choose it’s going to be great because it’s your first one! Have fun!

    Any tips for cruising with a kiddo who can't eat around other people? He has autism and an anxiety disorder with sensory issues so we figured we'd just eat in our room most of the time. He would just panic if he was seated at a table with other people who were eating. But I don't want him to miss out all the time. I'm hoping for private tables at the rotating restaurants and then I just won't eat there, so he can enjoy the experience (I never eat in front of him if I can help it because he sobs and panics if he sees others eating food) I can always eat later. But I'm terrified of what might happen if we are seated with others.

      Hi in situations like this its always best to reach out to the cruise line directly. Alternatively if you use a travel agent from Goldgell Getaways, they can also help you with this and the cruise lines. Disney and Royal Caribbean are the best with kids catering to their specific needs.

    I understand Disney is mostly geared towards kids, but do they ever do adult only cruises?

  • @leesuper73

    Good video but would prefer not to see your face every other frame. I would rather see the more of the ship.

  • @irishgirl4977
    @irishgirl4977 Před měsícem

    So at a minimum time you would recommend 5 night?

    • @chercat2753
      @chercat2753 Před měsícem +2

      Hello 😊; if you’re new to cruising, you might find the 5 night cruise to be a good introduction. The 3 & 4 night cruises may feel too short to get to know the ship, no sooner do you feel comfortable getting around the ship, it’s time to go home. 5 nights will allow you to rotate through the 3 dining rooms & have the option of experiencing some of the adult dining, without feeling that you’re missing out of the other experiences. Plus, you’ll have at least one day at sea (sometimes 2) to enjoy some of the on board activities. Hope this was helpful to you, our family loves sailing with Disney 😊
