      Hi Vivek, there are several things you can do. Make a veggie broth by boiling pulp with water, herbs, spices, then straining.
      Mix the pulp into baked goods like muffins or cakes. Celery, onion, carrot, sweet potato, spinach, apple, and berry are perfect for this!
      Sometimes we eat it since it still tastes good and has tons of healthy fiber. Or we add it to our dog's food :)
      Thanks so much for watching and placing your order! Any other questions, let us know!

      @plantbasedpros  Před 4 lety +2

      Depends on what you are looking for. They both have their benefits. A blender will chop everything up very quickly but you will have to separate the pulp from the juice. This can become time consuming and messy. Additionally, the produce will lose nutrients if you use a high speed blender that heats your produce up. A cold press juicer will be similar to chewing food where the nutrients will be preserved. Feel free to reach out to us on plantbasedpros.com for any other questions.

    As a user of this new Kuvings EVO 820 model and a previous B6000 model, I have to say the child-safe flip gate lid is really annoying - you cannot throw in a pear or a longer & wider item. Once the flip gate is closed, the small hole is just too small to throw in some ingredients that could be easily thrown in in the previous models. I would prefer a hole without the freaking child-safe flip! It's a design flaw.

    • @michaellim7002

      There are only 2 screw to unscrew and remove the flip gate easily.

      Hi Paul, I definitely see where you are coming from. However, this feature is very important if you have children. I can easily fit my hand in the opening if it wasn't for the child safety feature. So far I have no problems using the big opening at all and it's nice to have the option of the smaller hole for celery and carrots.
      Thanks so much for watching and commenting! :)

    • @kathrynwilliams3358
      @kathrynwilliams3358 Před 5 lety

      Hey Paul Z, can i ask what juicer you might recommend for juicing say 3kgs of carrots, 3kgs of apples, whole celery, spinach, kale, ginger, whole lemon, whole orange?? The child-safe flip gate lid on the Kuvings EVO 820 model looks annoying and like a design flaw. I probably would have bought it otherwise. Thank you

    • @sq7ikr
      @sq7ikr Před 5 lety +2

      @@kathrynwilliams3358 I was really happy with the old model (big mouth without the flip gate lid). The model is mentioned in my comment: B6000. I have no experience with other brands but you can find good comparisons on youtube. This flip gate is seriously annoying.. it has nothing to do with the safety - imagine any blender brand doing this, blender is even more dangerous and there are no gates... same as in all older kuvings models.

      ginger roots are no problem, seen in other videos.

    • @MiccaPhone
      @MiccaPhone Před 4 lety +2

      All vertical slow juicers from the South Korean leading manufacturers "Hurom" or "Kuvings" (or their reseller brands "Omega" (US) or "Sana" (Europe)) are quality juicers and have no problems with ginger roots from all test I have seen. Same applies for the vertical slow juicer Tribest SlowStar SW-2000 (red) / SW-2020 (silver).
      This being said, it is advisable for produces with fibers like ginger or cellery to cut them into slices before throwing them into the juicer (some recommend 3 mm slices, others say 2-3 cm is ok). This is just very little effort but reduces the likelihood of the juicer clogging up, which might imply that the juicer stops and needs reversing, is hard to open or harder to clean, and generally puts more strain to the juicer's longevity if practised regularly. Your juicer will thank it to you if you respect this advice.
      Horizontal Slow Juicers are even better suited for fiber containing produces, require no (cellery) or perhaps(?) less cutting (ginger?), and they are also said to be somewhat superior for green herbs, cabbages etc. but inferior for fruit juices like apples, oranges etc., so the above mentioned vertical juicers are the better generalist with a wider range of capability. Also, you can generate sorbets or smoothies with modern verticals thanks to special optional screens.
      Examples of such vertical slow juicers are (in no particular order): Hurom H-100, Hurom HZ, Hurom H-AA, Hurom H-AI, Omega VSJ843 (by Hurom), Sana 808, Sana 828 (by Hurom), Kuvings B6000, Kuvings C9500, Kuvings C9820, Kuvings EVO820, Kuvings CS7000, Omega MMV 700/702 ("Mega Mouth Vertical") (by Kuvings), and as already mentioned SlowStar SW-2000/2020 (only difference is the colour) (by Tribest).

      It just depends on the type of produce you buy. The fresher the produce, the more juice it will have. The pulp was very dry, which is a clear indication that the majority of the juice was extracted.

      If you have long produce then you should close the lid. There's a childproof flap that prevents long items from going into the juicer with an open lid. This also prevents children from sticking their hands in and getting hurt. You can keep the lid open for juicing items that are not long (such as apples, berries, etc.)
