- In Jewelry Making, headpins are often used to create earring dangles that feature beads or gemstones.
They can also be used to create bead or charm links using a wire wrapping technique.
Thread your bead or charm onto the headpin so that it gently rests at the head of the pin.

Thank u for putting this video
Thank you. These are great. By the way, to restaighten your wire after doing the knotted head pin, try pulling your nylon pliars along the length of the wire you want to straighten. It works. Someone else taught it in another video.
That's a great idea!
Gracias por el tutorial. Me encanta

Motivational Education Bhashan thank you 😊
Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing. I especially love the trefoil shaped head pin. I made one along with your video and wasn't sure if I was doing it right until the end and it was almost perfect,
I am happy that it helped you
Best weight of your head pin? Thank you great video
The "Egyptian" is more like a larger eyepin 🙂. The one before that, the triangle headpin would be nice to add thing's to like charms and various types of beads.
Thank You 😊
this is so lovely! thank you for sharing this! :)
👍👏👏
Thank You 🙏
I am going to use these designs to make custom Bobby vans for church lady still wearing their hair. Our use the running wire to add beads
That’s awesome 👏 thank you 😊
Totally new to all of this. This video is so, so helpful! This might be a silly question, but -- is it ok to use chain nose pliers that have that "spikey" ripple surface on the inside, as opposed to smooth like these? Will that cause marks in the wire?
Thanks for your feedback. I tried using the same but it scratches the wire. I would recommend using flat chain nose plier to avoid scratches. HTH.
cómprate unas pinzas de silicona... haya en E.U. an de estar en buen precio
Love this , please telle what song this is amazing I would love to play it
It's one selected from iMovie which appealed me a lot.
great video, thank you. Can I ask why the gloves? Does that help prevent tarnish? Thank you.
Thank You 😊 I had surgery on my left hand so for safer side i was using it. It also secures from powdered demo wires.
@@VaidehisHandmadeVHM thank you, safe healing.
Where I get these wires in india. I live in pune
could you use these techniques with a thicker wire to make hair pins? i really like some of these designs and im not really inclined to wear any other sort of jewelry i was wondering it if is worth the effort of trying?
Hi Anita, thanks for your feedback. You can go for thicker wire until you can twist/bend/loop them. Also you have to use bigger hole beads.
That’s an awesome idea! I love it! I see it’s been a couple of years since your post, did you end up making any? And if so, how did it work out for you?
Do you hammer the flat decorative ends, to add strength? Not the knot, obviously.
Yes. It will definitely give strength.
I wonder what type of wire they are using
I would like to use copper or brass wire for actual jewellery. Here I used nickel wire.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What gauge wire is that?
20 g
It's 20g. But you can use 20g-26g wire based on your need.
What wire gauge are you using
20 g
@@Titina2151 Thank you
It's 20g. But you can use 20g-26g wire based on your need.
I just bought 24 gauge wire, so I'm gonna give it a try. Thank you for sharing that.😁
Yeah, but that's rather nascent, what I need to understand is how to
make a real head-pin/pin-head, one which is hemispherical, like a
rivet's head that's peened?
it would have been better if you had spoken aswell while demonstration ratheqg than music
