    I love making my own headpins because I can use them for various sized beads, as well as for making fancy wraps with lots of wire at the top of the beaded dangle. And I think these pretty knotted headpins really add something special to an otherwise simple design.
    We are not going to cover the bead wrapping part in this video - just the making of the headpin. To see how to make a simple wire wrapped loop see this video:

    I'm so happy I discovered this! The knot feels more original than those ready-made head pin ends you can buy, and I like that you can create different sized coils this way without having to get either new pins or an additional bead if one bead has a bigger opening. :)

    • @JewelryTutorialHQ
      @JewelryTutorialHQ  Před 10 měsíci

      Absolutely agree! I also love that you can make them as long as you need for stacks of beads or if you like to do a messy wrap at the top 🤗

    A friend of mine uses the nylon pliers to grip right below the knot, then pulls the rest of the wire through with a pair of chain nose pliers. That way she gets the kinks & crooks out at the same time, straightening the wire.
