Do people realize that borna’s title journey is one of the most inspiring and memorable moments ever in tennis. Considering how much hype he had as a youngster but injuries held him back. His draw this week was brutal, he had no help in the draw. Truly inspiring.

I remember Borna Coric being touted as one of the next great tennis players, and then he seemed to disappear off the map due to various injuries. I am surprised but happy to see him win a masters 1000 against a pretty tough field considering he hasn't made a masters 1000 final since 2018, and lost in the 1st round of most of the masters this year. Hopefully we'll see Coric make some deeper runs into tournaments in the near future!

I then remember the 2020 USO when he beat Tsipitsipas in a quality 5 setter, and was outplaying Zverev in the first set and a half but choked a bit and couldn't keep it going in that quarterfinal match. After he disappeared, due to injuries. He also had injuries in 2016 and 2019. Everyone knows how good he can be. He was the world number 1 junior and was the youngest player in the top 100 in 2014. Tsitsipas has the talent if only he would keep fighting and not let himself get dejected. He lets himself go into shut down mode once he starts to feel bad about his performance and this causes him to lose the match before it has actually ended. He should keep fighting so at least he can be proud of himself at the end.
(FYI, Tsitsipas is the reason I got into tennis because I saw a random video of him one day showing his reaction into making the RG 2021 Final. This made me curious about tennis and want to learn what the big fuss is about Roland Garros. I absolutely had no idea what a Grand Slam was. Now I am a huge tennis fan and root for all types of players like Djokovic, Rafa, Serena, Ons, Coco, and Naomi. But Tsitsipas will always be the first person I root for since I wouldn't have gotten into tennis without him.)
