西元2000年的夏天，恩師蔣Vicky(現為台北藝術大學戲劇系主任)前往芝加哥與紐約學習踢踏舞時，機緣巧合的錄下了電視上正在播的這部以芝加哥踢踏節(Chicago Human Rhythm Project's JUBA! - Masters of Tap & Percussive Dance，那時的CHRP主要還是使用JUBA這個名稱當作踢踏節的代稱)為基礎，講述美式踢踏舞歷史與發展的紀錄片。
據她所說:
"我當時在借宿的朋友家，剛好打開電視，一轉台就看見電視上正在轉播的這個節目，我一抬頭，看到電視機上面有一台錄影機，錄影機上面放著一捲錄影帶，然後我就把錄影帶塞進錄影機，按下錄影鍵..."
"老師，你沒有先問你朋友錄影帶裡面有甚麼嗎?"
"欸...她那時好像不在，等她回來再跟她講..."
完全就是相當符合牡羊座爆衝的個性啊...
總之，這個珍貴的錄影就這麼被留下來了，我給Dianne看過，她說連她自己都沒有啊(而Dianne以經是以擁有大量珍貴影片著稱的了...)，所以，一切都是緣分。
很早很早以前就想放上來了，但是當年用VHS錄影帶轉成數位檔案的科技並沒有那麼發達(即使花錢給專業的弄也是只能這樣)，音量只有單邊出聲以及成像頗差的問題我都無法解決，今早意外得到了一個好用的軟體，終於把這延宕了起碼9年的問題解決了，所以PO上來跟大家分享(已徵詢過Dianne同意)。我當年就是看了這部影片才認識所謂踢踏節，也是因為這段表演便決心一定要去見Dianne一面的!

Summer of year 2000, my tap and life mentor Vicky Chiang (now chairman of the Theater Department of Taipei National University of the Arts) traveled to Chicago and New York for learning tap dancing. One day, at her friend's house that she was staying, she turned the TV on and there was this show, JUBA! ,a documentary talk about tap and percussive dance, which was on the basis of Chicago Tap Festival held by Chicago Human Rhythm Project, very very luckily and the video clip was captured.
According to Vicky:
"I turn the TV on and that was the show right there. and I look up, there was a video recorder on the top of the TV, and a VHS video tape on top of it, next thing I know I already pressed the record button..."
"Did you ask your friend is there anything important in that tape before you stick it into that recorder?"
"...I think she was not around..... never mind, she will find out later......"

Anyway, that's the story, miraculous coincidence. I wanted to upload this clip very long time ago (I've had already ask for Dianne's agreement for uploading this clip) but because of some technical problems, until this morning I got a new software and finally fixed those problems.
