Great music great scenery times in the world were great back then but not now

when i watched the movie, this scene was always a big highlight for me. not only the dancing but I really love this orchestrated version of "nobody's sweetheart". I wish this rendition of the song had a full version available somewhere

This is jazz dance. not juba. he is doing specific solo jazz dance steps. Like a stylized drop Charleston, the stomp-off, Collegiate Charleston, Harlem Twist, Boogie Backs, a stylized boogie forward and more

This seems like a precursor to to modern jazz, e.g. Gene Kelly. Gene was a ballet trained dancer and an athlete. He's wearing taps but not really "tapping". Traditional tap is more like being a musical percussionist accompanying the music. Here, the taps are just incidental as his upper body is doing more "traditional" dance.

I would say this might even be a precursor to Gene Kelly's style - lots of body movement with tap, but there's some elements of ballet in it too, makes it elegant and at the same time robust. I want to know who this dancer is!

Not sure I would call this buck n wing. he only does a wing step once. Some might. called it Buck dancing, but he is using a number of dances found in the jazz canon, like Harlem Twist, the Uncle Willie, drop Charleston, some flat-footing steps, variation Can-Can, variation over the top, the Stomp Off, what I heard called Pushes but he is not using his hands with it.

I think the dance style is called, "Buck and Wing". precursor to tap?

Back in the day this was called soft shoe style because the dancer's tapping of his heels was soft and barely heard. He mostly leaned on the balls of his feet and toes. Also note in the scenes not shown here with Bill "Bo Jangles" Robinson. His shoes had a louder sound because he danced tapping his heels which were made of solid wood. No he never did use taps.
