Def needs to be mic'd up or plugged in.
Just bought one yesterday and very disappointed with the wimpy volume output when fingerpicking acoustically.
Strumming chords sounds good.
Tonality is overall good.
And how come yours came with a pick guard?
I got ripped off! LOL

I completely understand the dynamics.
Been playing for over 25 years.
But I have a Taylor Academy 12 small body that has very good volume output and decent tone.
A bit too trebly but not bad overall.
I have also been given a couple of Breedlove concert size cutaways that have nice rich tone and good punch for a small guitar.
Might try switching out the saddle on The Martin 00010E and give it another try before returning it.
Like I said...I love the tone of the Martin but I'm looking for a parlor guitar for noodling on at night watching TV and would kinda like something that I can hear when the TV is on low volume.
I also live right next to a fairly busy street so quiet around here is not much of an option. : )

The Martin is all Sapele hardwood so that would make sense.
So any suggestions for what would be good for both strumming and finger picking in a concert size and a tone somewhere between the bright the Taylor A12 and the muddy Martin 000 10E?
Like I said in previous post, the Breedlove Organic Collection Wildwood Concert is pretty darn close to what I'm looking for.
Small body, warm tone and decent punch for a mid size guitar.
Just not sure of the Breedlove overall quality.
