My friend who is also my boss fell about 10 feet off of a steep roof the other day. Luckily he’s only scratched and bruised up, but could have been worse. We all need to be careful and anchor ourselves to the roof even for short jobs. We owe it to our families to be safe and come home in one piece everyday. Great review as always
Good review man. I’ve had my eye on this ladder at the depot for about a year now. They do go on sale often. Right now it’s on sale for $129.00 but they’ve had it for 99.00 on numerous occasions like Black Friday and etc.
This was my first ladder ever, which I bought to change light bulbs 😅 but I'm sure at some point I'll need it for other things around my house, glad I went with gorilla, easy to use for beginner DIY'ers like me
Thank you for showing how to use this! My husband is out of town and I'm needing to use this to combat a woodpecker that pecked off an air vent. You gave me confidence that I can figure this ladder out!
I was having a problem folding into the storage position. I twisted and turned the ladder for 10 minutes and looked at the instructions, but after watching this video, I can "slap" the top 2 round notches into a storage position. Thank you
Love mine. Compact enough to fit in a two door Jeep wrangler, but stretches tall enough to get on my roof. Very sturdy. One of the best ladders I have been on and it is not a total pain to extend like old school ladders.
Such an amazing video cannot thank you enough. I've had my ladder sitting here wrapped up for 8 months waiting for me to use it and do scared to do it. It's finally spring up here in the mountains and my niece came over, found your amazing video and we are off on an adventure with our ladder. All things to your video. So excited we have subscribed to you and are waiting to go on more Adventures. You made it so simple and easy when it seems so scary but it looked so amazing when I bought it. Thank you thank you thank you!
I love my Werner multi ladder. We use a little giant at work and I like the Werner better. Never tried the gorilla. Any multi ladder in this style is worth their weight in gold. The ability to work on stairs is awesome. I’ve always felt safe on them and that’s worth the hassle of carrying the extra weight around.
Thanks for the video! I just ordered the 23 foot reach Gorilla ladder, and your video encouraged me that I did the right thing. I also ordered a LeveLok leg leveler kit and a LG stabilizer bar to have the safest way possible to use the ladder.
Thank you for the terrific video and breakdown of everything. Even laughed at the bit you threw in there too. Appreciate you for putting this together.
So the part I needed to see is at about 5:20 where you turn it into an extension ladder and your arms are right in the way of seeing exactly what you did. That always seems to be my luck!
Just got the 22ft ladder and I agree with you this is one of the easiest ladders to use and makes you forget all about Warner ladders. Now little giants are a competitor I believe they are carried at Lowe’s where is gorrilla is a Home Depot exclusive. Either ladder is great and comes with lifetime warranty’s. Either way please anchor yourself in every time it only takes one mistake to be messed up for quite a while trust me I know. Be safe guys and remember I lord and savior died for your sins and loves you eternally.
Have the same ladder except mine only has a 300lb capacity. Other than that it's identical. Very happy with it so far, especially since I only paid $99 for it on sale at Home Depot (1/2 price)
I will definitely have to check this ladder out. I have one similar to this, not sure of the brand. But you have to twist the knobs at the top to open and close it. With the age of the ladder and myself, i just dont have the hand strength anymore to twist the knobs. This looks like an excellent replacement
Thanks for this video! I bought this ladder in the fall when it was $99 b/c I needed something to get me on the roof and my 8 ft. Werner wasn't cutting it.
Had for sale at home depot the week they came out a few years ago. Snagged one for $98 and no more ladder rack needed. I just regret not getting a 2nd to use for a quick scaffold setup
Hahaha, that's awesome. Yep, I basically make a fool of myself in every video. Many more upload after I did this a while back. Welcome to the channel Jorgensen!!!!
It says 375 lbs capacity but when I get to the hinges I don't feel like going any further, I weigh 340 lbs, I need to go higher I just can't get over the hinges
I love this thing. Needed a new ladder and planned on getting another Werner. Home Depot had a sale over the winter and I jumped on it. Glad I did. It’s so light and it couldn’t be easier to use.
I just picked one up yesterday. I needed something to get me onto a 10 foot roof. I put a couple eye hooks in the facia to anchor to, more to make me feel more secure. Missed the rafters cuz everything is behind vinyl siding. May try it again if I can find the rafters. Ladder is very stable, I'm not disappointed. Also one who is not fond of getting on and off roofs
Great video. The Werner did seem a little heavier to me. Which might mean sturdier but at 62 I need things as light as possible. I got the 23ft Gorilla. It has the work top which is nice. It's sturdy and I'm very pleased with it so far.
As long as there was no wardrobe malfunction on your part it’s all good. Lol I use either a 6 or 8 feet Warner step ladder. The last time I used a ladder like that it was the giant genie and it didn’t lock right in extension mood. Found out the hard way. Refuse to use one since
Excellent review..!! I have a be very careful while using my Werner 22" multi ladder. It is heavy, and I have to be very careful while using this one. I was comparing the product weight of Gorila and Werner and noticed they are around the same. I am trying to find out how Gorila is lighter than Werner.
it's a nice ladder, but sometimes I use it as a leaning ladder and when I get down to the first or 2nd rung the rounded feet makes the ladder tilt back. busted my shin a few times doing that.
Bought a 26’ Werner. Didn’t like the plastic knobs and 1/4” rods used to adjust height on Gorilla. Was concerned the height adjustment knobs would break if the ladder fell over or was dropped. The 26’ Werner is a heavy 50# however.
I bought it to put a curtain on a high window and paint a large foyer. Before I started, I put it back to its base state and I’m about to take it back to grab a Werner extension ladder. Listen, this thing is really cool and certainly can be a convenient tool for quick jobs. But if you need it fully extended or need to do longer jobs DO NOT BUY. The platforms are an inch wide and will wear your feet and balancing muscles out. It has a loft of flex if you’re in that 200 lbs area and you will be shaking from the rungs thinness. If you only do quick simple jobs, get it...but 300 isn’t worth being more portable. It’s basically okay at everything but not great at anything. Rather have an extension and a frame on standby.
The twist knobs on the side is such a bad design, engineers should be fired. For people over 50, and once the ladder is a little older, it is extremely difficult to turn those knobs. Very bad design. There are other better designs.
Buy an extension ladder and a regular folding style ladder. Cheaper and a lot more convenient. I bought the orange fiberglass gorilla ladder a few years ago. Will sell it cheap!
One MAJOR thing: Depending on the length/adjustment, you might be standing on a 1" wide square step. This is NOT comfortable to your feet at all when up on the ladder for extended periods (painting, power washing, etc.)! I've not seen this mentioned at all in over 40 reviews... of ANY brand of these multi-position ladders.
Absolutely true. If you are on these ladders wearing sneakers or some other soft-soled shoes, your feet (arches) are going to be killing you at the end of the day. You really need serious work boots with strong arch supports. I have a multifunction ladder with 1" square tubes for rungs. I speak from experience.
An issue I've had with all ladders is that the soles of my shoes seem to want to separate from standing on the rungs so long I guess. Just wondered if anyone else had this problem and how they deal with it. Maybe some custom made ladder shoes ?
was that fog in the air all around you so is that leftover smoke from whatever you are puffing on The Climb that ladder you see that you got to be on something LOL
Yeah I figured you are getting high on that ladder to High We Are skidding illusions of Giants and chickens you just climbing too high that is not right that is known as altitude sickness so I guess when you get over 6 ft off the ground you get it you know they are doctors for that disease🤣😂😃😀😆😅😄😂🤣😁😆😉 you take care of your wife and kids man you have fun hoping we'll see some good videos from you tomorrow
Those are made for the weekend warrior to get a toy airplane out of the gutter or change a lightbulb. For a professional, they're a boat anchor. Waaaay too heavy to move around.
HORRIBLE LADDER, NEEDS TO COME WITH A WARNING LABEL. WILL RUIN YOUR BACK AND FEET. THE ONLY THING THIS MIGHT BE GOOD FOR IS TO POSSIBLY CHANGE A LIGHT BULB ON A STAIRCASE. IF IT IS TALL ENOUGH. RUNGS ARE WAY TOO SKINNY AND THE WHOLE UNIT IS WAY TOO WOBBLY AND BENDS OR ARCS INWARD WHICH IS A SLIPPING HAZARD. THIS IS A HEAVY DANGEROUS BACK-BREAKING PIECE OF GARBAGE. GOT RID OF MINE.
My friend who is also my boss fell about 10 feet off of a steep roof the other day. Luckily he’s only scratched and bruised up, but could have been worse. Absolutely Kwit. Great comment and glad he is ok
Did the boss fall off the gorilla ladder ?
@@Eyehearttravels as a matter of fact it was an original Little Giant. I have the Werner version and that thing is a tank.

One of the best Ladder from Home Depot hands down.

So who won, you or the woodpecker?

So relieved to hear such a rave review. I just made a spur of the moment purchase on this ladder because it is on sale at Home Depot for $99!
You did good.i love this ladder 👊
Its not the 375 lbs one, but the 300 lbs one.

Thanks for the video! I just ordered the 23 foot reach Gorilla ladder, and your video encouraged me that I did the right thing. I also ordered a LeveLok leg leveler kit and a LG stabilizer bar to have the safest way possible to use the ladder.
I love thos latter Louis. Made a great decision buddy
Thank you for the terrific video and breakdown of everything. Even laughed at the bit you threw in there too. Appreciate you for putting this together.
Appreciate the comment Jonathan!
I'm buying one tomorrow for my gutters. Thanks for the review.
Thank you! Couldn’t figure this thing out 😂
So the part I needed to see is at about 5:20 where you turn it into an extension ladder and your arms are right in the way of seeing exactly what you did. That always seems to be my luck!
I bought mine yesterday at Home Depot and, like you, I'm glad I did. Much lighter than my old extension ladder which was like carrying a tank.
I got the 22 inch version! It fits in my Oddessy for handyman jobs.

Thank you for this video. I am looking for a ladder for my dad. You convinced me.

Thank you for the info. I love it is a high weight capacity.
You got it DIY!
Your video convinced me to buy 3 of these 22’ options.

"Restored my faith in the ladder manufacturers." HILARIOUS

Just got yesterday 18ft reach one for $79.88 at the store!
That’s real nice like!

Thanks for the kool video. I have one of these and your instructions helped greatly!
The best review I have seen 😀😂 only 34 lbs. Love it. Others are at 40+. There's one used on eBay, don't know if I should get it used.
Can you put this on an overhang like yours to access that upper window eaves like yours with out it sliding?
@4:26 immediately liked video
Hahaha 🤣👊
great review

Yeah bro, that could have been really bad with a wardrobe malfunction lol. Ahh yeah man, I can't blame you for not trying another one
Used it today: type 1a 18ft ; it makes everything faster
Killed it lol, ... I would have like to see that giant fall... but still great job lol

Lol thanks bro. Took me way to long to do that stupid little clip haha
I have the 26ft version and it’s kinda of heavy using it fully extended as a step ladder. But it’s sturdy as hell when up high
I bought it to put a curtain on a high window and paint a large foyer. Before I started, I put it back to its base state and I’m about to take it back to grab a Werner extension ladder. Just curious, is that a Akron Childrens shirt? We must live relatively close. I’m just over in Portage lakes area
Sure was brother. I'm from the youngstown area but worked in Akron for a while 👊👊
Which size should I get? 18 or 22?
22FT Gorilla Ladder on sale @ Home Depot. $129
Thanks for the heads up Rich!
Man they're on sale for $179 right now..
Nice review
Thanks bro!
Once i seen the chicken i had to click the like button lol
HOW????? do I get this ladder in the UK? Been trying for ages 😥😥
Any ideas to grease or lube the pins to make sure it opens and closes with ease ? Thx
The manual recommends 3 in 1 brand multi oil. Its around $7 for an 8oz bottle on Amazon.
How to separate the gorilla ladder
what is the max a frame height usable?
One MAJOR thing: Depending on the length/adjustment, you might be standing on a 1" wide square step. How high can you go when its folded?
Does this lock at 90 degree angle?

Step Platform Multiposition Ladder Accessory
@@andreyustinov7793 that looks quite comfortable
I seen that coming from the first rung 4:07
How high does it go in A frame
Haha great video
What is the trick for turning the black latch to adjust the height? I have arthritis and it is very difficult to turn the latches. Thanks in advance.
Take some weight off the part that slides. It will be easier to turn it there isn’t tension from the weight of the part that extends.
the harbor freight is lighter and IMO just as good Weight of the ladder is important.
was that fog in the air all around you so is that leftover smoke from whatever you are puffing on The Climb that ladder you see that you got to be on something LOL
Lol
Do your feet hurt when you use this ladder?
Yes. I got one and returned it because if you are on it for a while your feet will hurt. Very narrow rungs
I have a Little Giant which I love but it’s clunky.
Haven't tried the little giants yet, but look cool.
Haha, could be
My wife crushed her hand by turning the wheels and the bottom part swung down right on her hand

I have a little giant. Its good but too heavy
