The Isle of Skye: Micro Four Thirds Photography

- I took my Olympus E-M1 Mark ii to the Isle of Skye for a short photography trip around a couple of locations that I have always wanted to see; The Fairy Pools & the Old Man of Storr. While the weather was a little unforgiving for landscape photography it was still nice to visit these places with my little micro four thirds camera.

Despite the conditions, some nice shots! I recon some of them could also work really nicely in black and white. Did you try a conversion?
I’ve not tried it but I did mean to. I’ve been busy but I’m going to have a look at some. I’ll upload to my community tab when done.

The Olympus 12-40 2.8 Pro.
@@ChrisBaitson Thanks! I’m in Canada and have the same camera and lens. I also have the 7-14 2.8 Pro which I use for landscapes, but I prefer your images. I need to work on my technique and skill level I guess 😊 And try the 12-40 as well. Never occurred to me to use it for landscapes. (I’ve only had my Olympus kit for 2 years, after my brother gave them to me. ) I was an APS-C shooter with Nikon and Pentax for years when I went digital from film. Love M4/3rds as I like wildlife,landscapes and macro. The weather sealing and portability are amazing. Loving your channel!!
Parking fees at the Fairy Pool,s are extortionate now, no fees when I visited 40? yrs ago! Think I need in invest in a decent filter system, a grad filter top of the list.
Parking was a flat £6 for I think 12 hours which was way too much and then it was £5 for the Old Man of Storr. They seem to have gone big on the tourism.
Last time I was there there was no parking charges. Scotland is an autumn/winter destination for me.
If you want an amazing place for photos head to the Isle of Harris. I used to live there. Planning to get back there next Spring for the first time in 10 years.
