These newsreels bring back memories of going to the cinema to watch the news. This one of the wedding of then Princess Elizabeth and Prince Phillip told of a hopeful long marriage together. This did indeed happen. They were by each others sides for over 70 years, and truly loved each other. Thank you for showing us this film.❤👑❤️
I'm happy there was a video camera in this year.. and sadly to say all people we saw in the video are dead and maybe few are still alive 😢
Are you korean?
Rest in power Elizabeth and Phillip
Yes, indeed. Princess, later Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip did enjoy long, happy, and fruitful life together. And lived it till death did do part.
RIP Queen Elizabeth 2 and Prince Phillip.
Long, happy and fruitful life indeed.
A couple made for each other.👍
Gosh I was 5 years old. But remember being excited, it all seemed so magical better than Hollywood production.
RIP her majesty
She had her doggie with her even on that day. So cute. 🐶
Forever with us, dear Queen Elizabeth II!🙏🏾💕🥰👑🏰
And so it is almost seventy years later! In a few weeks Queen Elizabeth II will become the longest reigning British sovereign.
And now she is dead
yikes

Long live the Queen ❤️
Beautiful.
Graças à tecnologia, que nos permiti ver o passado, embora não bom como hoje.
E um prazer entrar na historia, ver a família real, e o casamento da futura rainha 👑 triste ve-los tão jovens, e hoje só saudades...😔
You're welcome bro
Like it's so shocking to think that maybe everybody in the video has died . Maybe nobody is alive today.
I know right
Exactly what I was thinking.
Rest all their souls.
I think those little boys carrying the end of the wedding dress were then princess Elizabeth's cousins. And they are stil alive and make some public duties and appereances.
@@Wonkothenormal yes maybe. But still think of everyone else.
Beautiful queen ❤
Memories, memories, memories.
What is the music from 7:35, please? :)

खुशियों के पल ओर समय इस मूवी में बने रहें शानदार
Does anyone know the hymn sung at 1:47? I know the tune but I just can't make out the words. I tried looking up the music for the wedding, but none of them fit. I think this was just played over it at the time.
Raymond Painter In the Crimond tune? I think my ears must be funny because I looked that one up on youtube and it didn't sound much like this.
Ty for your reply though!
Yes - I could hear the words of the 23rd Psalm very clearly.
It is named "The Lord's my shepherd". The melody is named Crimond and was written by Jessie Seymour Irvine. She was unsatisfied with her harmonisation, so she asked David Grant to write it.
Oddly, it is clear that they used another recording for this video, because the 2nd and 5th verses are missing the descant written by William Baird Ross. I understand that two days before the wedding, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon (the woman many of us knew as The Queen Mother), the mother of the bride, asked for the descant to be included, resulting in a mad flurry to find someone in the London area who knew it. A lady-in-waiting ended up being summoned to the abbey to sing it while it was written down.
@@Da_Big_G Thanks pal
Ii suo popolo l'ha sempre amata.
Presumably they switched the recording of "The Lord's my shepherd"?
🤩
Love pagan
Part of this was our late queen as a bridesmaid?
