    100 hp per liter na is cool, a ls3 6.2 only makes 70 hp per liter at the flywheel. looking through a narrow lens here, but these numbers are closer to a lsa supercharged 6.2 making 580 hp with 6.2 liters + a 1.9 liter blower to add. crazy to think a 7th gen k series did that N/A XD (note i know this is modded honda vs factory warrantied stock engines from gm)

    For those wanting to do this, you do not need to buy an aftermarket fuel rail. Stock fuel tails are efficient enough to handle this horsepower.

    I just learned more in 10 minutes than I did in 1 year. I have a 2004 Accord EX with the K24A4 5 speed manual with 150K of well maintained miles. Right before the pandemic had the whole car serviced. Timing chain, water pump, clutch, brakes, etc . (so just the i-vtec) . I used to have a 1995 Integra GSR. Originally, I was thinking that I could change out the top half of the engine and make it a true V-TEC but it sounds like I would need to change the pistons and rings, ecu, and the oil pump to unbalanced? Should I just chuck the A4 and get the A2 or can I build on what I have? Or do I turbo the A4? I want to have something similar to my GSR NA far as performance. Thank you in advance!

    • @Almostboosted
      @Almostboosted  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes that's correct to swap over a rbb head or a k20 head you would need to change the pistons out. You can still keep the balance shaft oil pump. And would definitely need to flash the ecu. I would recommend just swapping in a rbb k24 buy you would still need to flash the ecu.

    06+ tsx (k24a2) does have the better cams (bigger secondary lobes) but all k24 came with 25deg vtc. They never came with an rbc vtc cam gear, you have to install those yourself out of any k20 engine (including base model) 👍🏼 you can also pin the k24 vtc to have it fixed at 45deg, any more and you run the risk of valve to piston contact

    I am getting ready to do my K swap. I have a 91 integra, but first i wanna get my wheels and suspension before I go to the motor. I am going to do the k24A2 with the k20A2 head, Type R tranny, and the K pro ECU. Im going to first start looking for the motors in junk yards before spending up on that and other parts i can obtain there. I have no experience with motors and cars but I am really infatuated and will be all in when i get going. Do you have any early advice before i get started??

My advice would to do as much research as possible and make a list like the previous commenter said and don’t let people fool you - it can get pricey real quick! Also one more thing, buy the items you’ll need that are no longer manufactured first because they get more expensive as time goes on. Anything that can be bought quality aftermarket can wait. Buy the discontinued Honda oem stuff first and good luck!

    you mentioned 2.5 diameter headers verse 3.... why are you stating that it is bad? Velocity and pressure increase a fluid with a smaller diameter pipe. I thought about going with a 2.5 diameter pipe until it got back to the cat, then change to a 3. but i dont really know much about putting this stuff in yet. I know you want the flow velocity to get out of the engine asap which would happen faster with a smaller diameter pipe.

      Yeah that’s definitely the better option. Only thing is more than likely the USDM k24a2’s will have high mileage where you can get a jdm that has way less. And honestly if you end up boosting I don’t think those extra upgrades from 06-08 make a huge difference imo.

      Not sure if kpro would be a vital option for automatic transmission. You might want to see what other standalone out there that would allow you to change transmission gear ratios. But start out with bigger injectors, 410cc or higher.
      Rbc intake manifold or skunk ultra. Bigger throttle body 70mm to 72mm. Type s oil pump. 50 degrees vtc from a rbc. Cold air intake that's a good start.
