Suga is Agust D! As Agust D he releases more 'heavy' and kind of explicit stuff, very personal too! He's got 2 albums with that name, and this is actualy a single from his 3rd album, which was released just a few days ago. Its is the last album of Agust D trilogy. He also released second music video to a song called ' AMYGDALA' it's totally diffferent and VERY heavy and emotional, so if you would like to check it out it would be very cool!
Its an AWESOME album! He's on tour now by himself! ❤ this song is part 2 of his trilogy...Daechwita is 1st (older song) then this &;Amygdala off his new album D-Day. Him dealing with & healing from his past. ❤
Blake!! Thank you for the reaction! We love how you always explain the production within the songs in a way that we can understand it. So, here's a little (a lot) about Haegeum. Agust D (Suga from BTS) is literally talking about everything that is wrong in the world right now. Since haegeum is a traditional instrument but also means liberation of prohibition. He is really asking who's on board for the revolution, for the new world, for the new kingdom and to get on board now. So we can fix everything that is broken. This is a masterpiece. The lyrics and wordplay are incredible. This is what rap in my humble opinion should be. A way of making people aware of all the social, economical issues and more. And Suga just did that. To add further layers to this, it’s really pointed commentary on capitalism or essentially: feudalism. What became his weapon in the beginning (his tool to criticise & stand up) became a utensil. In the end he has to partake in this because of obligation. literally; to feed himself. A Thailand ARMY (shout out to Sky_hxneul) was kind enough to educate us and explain that this was filmed in Thailand and that place is called the "Thief Market" Rattanakosin Island's (Old name of Thailand from 1782-1892) and it was the first international shoping center in the period after the abolition of slavery.. This is how he explained it : so this market came to exist because the people in the palace freed from slavery when they moved out of the palace, they received some goods from the master and also stole some They then brought those goods to sell them in this area. Now we know that Haegeum is a traditional instrument but also means the liberation of the prohibition. SUGA: "Haegeum can refer to the traditional instrument but Haegeum as a lift on a ban. In the past, when I was young and I played things like rhythm games, there were songs called "unlocked songs" if you beat a stage, you get the unlocked songs. Idols... With advanced technology, we're able to get all kinds of information and see the situations happening on the other side of the planet while sitting. But I strongly felt those things kind of prohibiting my life actually. I can live without walking on eggshells as much. You have to live doing the things you want." "Scar dude”, is Agust D. He always has a scar. Representing his own scars. His alter ego, Agust D. He's always portrayed as a villain, a person in power, but nevertheless a villain. He's Suga's opposite side who holds lots of anger, fear, sadness, resentment, vengefulness his darker emotions. Previously in Daechwita, BOTH Suga AND Agust D had scars. He was in a different state of mind, he said he had lots of anger, but here only Agust D has a scar, it's not as red, meaning he's healing, but Suga has none. My opinion on the story between the two, and this is just my theory, relates to how much of the Haegeum MV was inspired by the film The Dark Knight. There's a quote in the movie that says, "You either die a hero, or live love enough to see yourself become the villain." In Daechwita, King Agust D is a tyrant and "lower class" Agust D is the hero, with each having the scar showing that they're one and the same. Lower class Agust D becomes the hero by shooting the king, taking his place. In Haegeum, only Cop Agust D has the scar. He is the same Agust D that shot the king, going on to become everything that he used to fight against, effectively living long enough to become the villain. He fought the king to take down the system, but them became the head of that very same system, enforcing the laws of that system that he swore to fight against. I think that the lyrics relate well to this idea also, being a slave to all of the things that you think are setting you free. "Differentiate freedom from self indulgence”. I think that is interesting that the original Agust D became the Mad King and the D-2 Agust D became a corrupt cop it very much reads as a critique on corruption by money and power. WOW!! Thanks so much for that really well written and insightful info, especially about the history of the Thai market location. Keep sharing this!! It's really interesting and you explain it all so well!!
Somewhere I heard Suga say in Daechwita the first Agust D - the king - also represented anger & the time in Suga's life when he was full of anger about the things he'd suffered and all his & BTS's haters (and a lot of the lyrics were a diss track) but in the end you actually don't know that the king was killed because Suga wasn't sure his anger was truly gone. In Haegum you see that Agust D - the crooked cop - actually killed because Suga really has moved on in his life and does not have the anger burning inside him that he once did. And then Amygdala you see how the scar came to be and that we all have choices to make in our lives about how we deal with our scars.

Hey Blake, watching you find out who Agust D is in real time was hilarious! lol As for what to follow up with, it would have to be the MV for Amygdala with the lyrics present please. Also highly recommend you do a break down of the album as it's straight fire.
I was cackling over your realization of what Agust D was. I thought you knew so I was so surprised to see you surprised. The trilogy is for the songs Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala (this is the order that the songs and MV's were released). The MV's for Daechwita and Haegeum has a more fictional visual storytelling but Amygdala addresses more real and personal stories from Suga even though it does it through symbolism.
Agust d is suga's solo name! He made 2 mixtapes, agust d and d2. And his solo album is out since the 21 of april ! Its called dday 🙂, he also did another mv for amygdala
The trilogy of MV's is Deachwita then Haegeum and finally his newest MV Amygdala. So it's up to you what to do really go back and watch then in order or go to the next MV. The trilogy in terms of mixtapes/CD's is AGUST D, D2 and D-DAY (which has just been released).
Suga has been using solo name Agust D since his first mixtape was released in 2016. Suga recommend watching three MV, Daechwita( released in2020), Haegeum and Amygdala.
So, Agust D has a lot of music. Starting with Agust D (mixtape) from 2016, to D-2 in 2020, to now D-day. This trilogy is the title song from D-2 Daechwita(banger of s song btw) to this one (Haegeum) to another song on the same album which is Amygdala. He wants you to watch the videos in order as the tell a complete story. I recommend Daechwita and Amygdala and because they are also amazing songs, but read the lyrics but they are truly beautiful.
You must watch the music video for Amygdala. But by the time you watch it, you know more about Suga's life, then it hits even harder. Basically everything Agust D/Suga has created and released is brilliant
Snooze (ft. Ryuichi Sakamoto & Woosung). Live version is MUST. Road to D-day is Sugas docu (Disney+), he is on US/Asian tour right now. Amaizing fancams...
Awesome reaction, thank you!! 💜 no doubt other comments have said this but you need to watch Daechwita and Amygdala as well. They are the other 2 songs in this trilogy. Amygdala is extremely sad, confronting and incredibly well done. Suga/Agust D/Yoongi is AMAZING!!! He is a literal genius 💜💜💜
He wrote and produced it completely by himself! The trilogy: 1. Daechwita (from His 2020 mixtape) 2. Haegeum 3. Amygdala Thanks for a great reaction! I look forward to the rest of the trilogy!

omg im surprised you didn't know it was him!!! You're going to enjoy his solo music so much, its so cool that you get to discover his mixtapes/album now. i hope you upload the other video reactions of his work!!!
He wrote the story board for the MV himself as well as everything else including producing the whole album. He did it all of course. He just has new world record in that he's the only Rapper to sell 1million copies of this album on it's release day.
Agust D is Suga backwards with TD standing for Daegu Town which is where he’s from and also the name of the rap group he was in before BTS I believe. I would love to see more Agust D and jhope
This song is the 2nd part of a trilogy of songs that Suga planned Detchitwa was the first MV on a previous album, Haegeum is the second MV and Amygdala is the 3rd these second 2 songs are both on this Album which is also his 3rd album. I see someone below has left a very long explanation so I am sure they said everything else that needed to be said. The live version of this song on Suga's documentary Road to D Day was great! Then you can see the traditional instruments that were used (Including a Haegeum) as well as the live band.
You always forget the subtitles LOL This song the words are important, same in AMYGDALA if you decide to watch that one. Love hearing your breakdown of the song elements tho as always! The trilogy is "Daechwita," "Haegum," and then "AMYGDALA"
Trilogy starts with "daechwita" by August D. EPIC cinematography, storytelling, philosophy... it will blow your sox off. Probably best video I've ever seen.
Missed you! Hope your feeling well!! YoU RoCk! ….. But hey! 🤪 you didn’t know Suga was AgusTD ? Remember Daeshwita? No you Must learn about the trilogy! 😁💜🙌🏻
Hi Blake 😊 As always I loved the video. Yes, Suga made two mixtapes under the name of Agust D before. They called Agust D and D-2. This new album called D-Day is the final part of the trilogy. This angry and explicit music was a bit different from the music he made within BTS and he also wanted to tell the story of his alterego, Agust D, which you can understand if you watch the music video for Daechwita, Haegeum and then Amygdala in this order. I hope this helps and thank you for the video 😊💜
The word"Haegeum" has a double meaning. On one side, it’s a traditional Korean string instrument that he uses for the track but it also means "“allowing/unlocking something that was forbidden” or lifting a prohibition.
So great to see you back! Recently...to be exact yesterday, I listened to 'the Rose' and their song 'sour'...and thought would be interesting if you would react to them.
Oh I was waiting for you to react to this!! Your reactions to BTS songs are always my favourite! You are so informative and I always learn something and walk away appreciating their songs more!

omg Blake! I was really been thinking the intro it sounded so familiar…and yes! 30 seconds to Mars! Hurricane! thank you! literally i kept asking myself why is it so familiar?
haha it's soo funny !! like i though you know about it !! since you have reacted to so many BTS's Music but it's always cool to see when someone got that Agust D is actually SUGA but complitelly diffrent vide right! anyway i always enjoy your reactions! and hope you look more into Agust D's iconic mixtapes RM's as well cuz they are like MASTERPIECES! (agust D is like the alter ego of Suga )much more free and Argressive music and mostly he's telling stories about his life and in his last trilogy of Agust D (new album this year )called D-DAY is the most personal i think if you react to "AMYGDALA" as well you will get it
AGUST D is what he uses for his solo work it backwards spells DT SUGA (DT for daegu town where he grew up) and you definitely need to watch daechwita next and amygdala and just over all you should listen to his first mixtape “agust d” and then his second one “d-2” and then this song is off his newest album “d-day” :)
ahhhh you gotta react to the whole album, he produced pretty much all of the tracks + wrote every single one (fun fact haegeum was written produced and performed by just him, nobody else; the spotify credits look hot). i adore his style under the agust d name
blake im laughing so hard, u literally looked so confused lmao. but im glad you finally know about who agust d is. hope to see more reactions about agust d in the future!!
Oh no! How can you not know about Agust D mixtapes? You have another rabbit hole to go down . Do you not know Daechwita (also Agust D)? The third Agust D instalment is the end of the trilogy. oh Blake no one can be a BTS fan without knowing their mixtapes and individual work.
Hopefully, when Blake would react to Amygdala, he would have a second reaction where the lyrics are open since SUGA is telling his story there. But as always, we are curious how he would interpret the music and production only. :)
The next one is amygdala! you got to watch daechwita, haegum and amygdala to get the storyline Also I"ve been waiting for your reaction to smoke sprite ft RM!
Suga is a member of BTS, when doing his solo projects he uses Agust D. Third video in the series is Amygdala. Obviously first was Daechwita, you recognised the scar.
2:43 Yeah, when I heard of them I check Wikipedia and I said why bother, too many names. Nowadays if I don’t know the references it is because it is not mainstream. Or it just dropped 😅
Blake, for as long as you've been reacting to BTS and you didnt know who Agust D was?? I'm so surprised. I thought you were pulling our leg. Kept waiting for you to let us in on the joke. Didn't you react to his 1billion+ video Daichwita?
Please react to his song Amygdala! It's part of the trilogy with Haegum and Daechwita. It's a very deep song with heavy lyrical content.. But it's beautiful
Blake learning Agust D is Suga made my week, hahaha. Yoongi, Suga and Agust D have strong Spidermans-pointing-at-each-other meme energy.
Suga is Agust D! As Agust D he releases more 'heavy' and kind of explicit stuff, very personal too! He's got 2 albums with that name, and this is actualy a single from his 3rd album, which was released just a few days ago. Its is the last album of Agust D trilogy. He also released second music video to a song called ' AMYGDALA' it's totally diffferent and VERY heavy and emotional, so if you would like to check it out it would be very cool!
daechatwa , haegham amayalda in this order
Its an AWESOME album! He's on tour now by himself! ❤ this song is part 2 of his trilogy...Daechwita is 1st (older song) then this &;Amygdala off his new album D-Day. Him dealing with & healing from his past. ❤
Of course he is Suga and Agust D cuz it's same person: Yoongi)) That's logical.😊
Idols... Honestly, despite not committing crimes even a little thing becomes this big or doing something that could be considered a controversy, it becomes "Are they allowed to be like that?" I didn't really understand it even when I was young. But of course, that didn't mean I went around causing trouble. So, in the music video, there are smoking scenes and things like that. If this becomes a controversy when l'm 31 then really, as a social phenomenon, it makes me strongly wonder how I'm supposed to accept this. Like, let's unlock those banned things. And since people can see so much information within the palm of their hand, imagining or thinking. Even I started not doing them. So, regarding those things, let's get liberated. With advanced technology, we're able to get all kinds of information and see the situations happening on the other side of the planet while sitting. But I strongly felt those things kind of prohibiting my life actually. I can live without walking on eggshells as much. You have to live doing the things you want."
"Scar dude”, is Agust D. He always has a scar. Representing his own scars. His alter ego, Agust D. He's always portrayed as a villain, a person in power, but nevertheless a villain. He said somewhere in the physical album that from this point on, we can expect to see "SUGA"'s debut....not Agust D, but SUGA in his next album.
Especially as both die at the end.
I think I got a little repetitive there, but I hope you got what I meant!

Min Yoongi - Suga - AgustD 💜
You always forget the subtitles LOL This song the words are important, same in AMYGDALA if you decide to watch that one. Love hearing your breakdown of the song elements tho as always! The trilogy is "Daechwita," "Haegum," and then "AMYGDALA"
Blakeee! Finally, waiting fo this and ofcourse on the series project :) Fighting
I'm excited for your new project 💜
Trilogy starts with "daechwita" by August D. EPIC cinematography, storytelling, philosophy... it will blow your sox off. Probably best video I've ever seen.
Missed you! Hope your feeling well!! YoU RoCk!
…..
But hey! 🤪 you didn’t know Suga was AgusTD ?
Remember Daeshwita?
No you Must learn about the trilogy! 😁💜🙌🏻
Missed you too! :)
You need to do the whole album honestly!
OMFG I THOUGHT YOU WERE JOKING ABOUT NOT KNOWING WHO AGUST D WAS DURING THE INTRO NOR WHY THERE WAS HYPE HAAHHAHHAH i love this
omg you would love both versions of "So Far Away" by Agust D. My personal favorite is the version with Suran because of the guitar at the end.
I love the surprised look when you discovered his other titles/identities. 😂 Love your reactions
The word"Haegeum" has a double meaning. On one side, it’s a traditional Korean string instrument that he uses for the track but it also means "“allowing/unlocking something that was forbidden” or lifting a prohibition.
thanks for reacting to haegeum ❤
So great to see you back! Recently...to be exact yesterday, I listened to 'the Rose' and their song 'sour'...and thought would be interesting if you would react to them.
Thank you for your reaction ❤ can't wait for more
He is one of a kind❤️🔥
Oh I was waiting for you to react to this!! Your reactions to BTS songs are always my favourite! You are so informative and I always learn something and walk away appreciating their songs more!
Hello there thank you for your love and support for me and my career🎼, I hope that you will not stop supporting me😊💕💕 I am really very pleased that all of you have been around all these years of my career.I appreciate your support and warm comments, I want to say thank you very much I humbly appreciate you, and also have a blessed week God bless you✌️✌️
where are you from…?
💞🎼🪕🫂🌺💐
This is the second in the trilogy the first is on his mixed tape D-2 called 'Daechwita' then this one then 'Amygdala' from this Album D-Day.
omg blake i missed you
Missed you to mari! :)
omg Blake! I was really been thinking the intro it sounded so familiar…and yes! 30 seconds to Mars! Hurricane! thank you! literally i kept asking myself why is it so familiar?
Blake gracias por tu reaccion
Great reaction! Hageum is masterpiece ❤
haha it's soo funny !! like i though you know about it !! since you have reacted to so many BTS's Music but it's always cool to see when someone got that Agust D is actually SUGA but complitelly diffrent vide right! anyway i always enjoy your reactions! and hope you look more into Agust D's iconic mixtapes RM's as well cuz they are like MASTERPIECES! (agust D is like the alter ego of Suga )much more free and Argressive music and mostly he's telling stories about his life and in his last trilogy of Agust D (new album this year )called D-DAY is the most personal i think if you react to "AMYGDALA" as well you will get it
Thank you for reacting to this! You need to react to Daechwita and Amygdala!
Haegeum has 2 meaning one it's a stringed instrument played with a bow. The other is the 'lifting or releasing a ban from something that's prohibited.
Ahh I love your reactions! You have to do an album review! This song is off his new album D-Day!! 😊
AGUST D is what he uses for his solo work it backwards spells DT SUGA (DT for daegu town where he grew up) and you definitely need to watch daechwita next and amygdala and just over all you should listen to his first mixtape “agust d” and then his second one “d-2” and then this song is off his newest album “d-day” :)
ahhhh you gotta react to the whole album, he produced pretty much all of the tracks + wrote every single one (fun fact haegeum was written produced and performed by just him, nobody else; the spotify credits look hot). i adore his style under the agust d name
i feel like you would LOVE this album, it's a whole journey
blake im laughing so hard, u literally looked so confused lmao. but im glad you finally know about who agust d is. hope to see more reactions about agust d in the future!!
You need to do Daechwita, that is the the first part of this mv, there are similar parallels between mvs.
You should totally watch AMYGDALA mv and listen to teh song bc its just amazing. Really sensible
Thanks for your Reaktion to Agust D 👌💜
Have you not seen "Daechwita"? I thought you reacted to it a long time ago o_O This is part two of a trilogy. "Daechwita", "Haegeum", and "Amygdala".
Agust D Is Suga spelled backwards with DT for Daegu Town , his home town.
The next one is amygdala! you got to watch daechwita, haegum and amygdala to get the storyline
Also I"ve been waiting for your reaction to smoke sprite ft RM!
Yes suga is amaizing thanks 💜 😊
This mv is nr 3 in a series.
But definitely react to more of his solo work please!
You should check out his new album D Day. He is great composer, songwriter and producer.
U should check all suga album he is so amazingg
*******Have you ever done His "Daechwitaw"? Same level of Artistry with a King and an Outlaw.
AGUST D is completely a different persona. I hope you react to his other MV as AGUST D, AGUST D MV and DAECHWITA PLSSSSSS
I think you should watch the whole 3 MV at the same time: Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala
Dwicita, Haegum, Amygdala. Watch them in this order. The trilogy.
Suga is a member of BTS, when doing his solo projects he uses Agust D.
Third video in the series is Amygdala.
Obviously first was Daechwita, you recognised the scar.
please listen to these with subtitles
I need to know where you got that zebra mug.
If you have a time you should check out Agustd MV ,Daechwita MV then Amygdala Mv
Augusrd is Suga backwards with DT backwards for his hometown Daegu
2:43 Yeah, when I heard of them I check Wikipedia and I said why bother, too many names. Nowadays if I don’t know the references it is because it is not mainstream. Or it just dropped 😅
2:13 loool that was funnyyyyy i love it🤣💜💜💜
You have to watch and react to Amyglada next
Blake, check out the Album!! It’s great!!
woww
❤❤❤❤
There are three MVs telling the origin of his face scar. You should watch MVs in this order👇
Amygdala, Daechwita, Haegeum.
Blake, for as long as you've been reacting to BTS and you didnt know who Agust D was?? I'm so surprised. I thought you were pulling our leg. Kept waiting for you to let us in on the joke. Didn't you react to his 1billion+ video Daichwita?
haegem was produce writing and composing by suga himself
Please turn on cc! The lyrics are so deep
Please react to his song Amygdala! It's part of the trilogy with Haegum and Daechwita. It's a very deep song with heavy lyrical content.. But it's beautiful
Please tell me you had English subs on. This piece has a powerful message that everyone should be hearing. Great reaction though.
As a producer would love for you to react to Suga and Woozi on SUGA’s show. (And I am sure you know that Suga is Agust D
Please can u do the Amygdala of Agust D. Thanks keep it up 🎉❤
Listen to all of Agust D songs! Every one! 💜
He self wrote and produced the song, like if you look a the credits he’s the only one there🙌🏻
In order: Amygdala, Daechwita, and Haegeum.
Wait, have you not seen his Daechwita video??
Sugas alter ego has been around since his first solo ep... years ago.
Daechwita was released under AgustD.
Agust D is Suga cracked me up lmaooo
