Joe Walker is an amazing actor he went from Voldemort, Umbridge, and Little Tom Riddle. Joe is very talented he can do some amaxing voives and then you hear his actual voive and when he does his characters your like No No thats not Joe.
that is why he is my favourite Starkid (of course there are other reasons )

I wish some good singers would do a high quality recording of these musicals because there are some seriously good songs! This song in particular is on par with anything on broadway
Lol, they ARE great singers. Not to mention some of them HAVE been on Broadway. These are professional productions and many of the performers have acted in tv and other mediums. A large majority of the cast members have been singing for years. While I understand what you mean, and I do believe that the songs are generally great quality. I appreciate the work that goes into them and love them for what they are. :)
ok but often they do sing out of tune and don't get the harmonies right. the songs are great, and although starkid has some great actors i don't think they take the music as seriously as they could
In these recordings? The harmonies are on point and I can barely hear them go out of tune. If you're talking about the live show of this then they literally had three days to put it together, and one day during this for darren to be put in, learn his songs and harmonies. It could not be helped that there were mistakes. As for all the other shows the performers have constantly improved with every one. Just to remind you that a large majority studied acting and weren't singers at the beginning. But then again you can hear the trained singers in every show of theirs and notice that the members all grow into their own singing. And I'm sorry I really don't mean to judge you but your comment about them not taking the music seriously is ridiculous. In each show they have a musical director/s, this means that each and every song is worked on extensively and that this person refines the performances by the performers. They spend as much time on the songs as the writing and acting. That is what rehearsals are. They are a musical theatre company after all. In the most recent shows, pretty much everything is spot on. In Trail to Oregon everyone sounds great, same for Twisted. As for going flat, it happens to every singer occasionally due to nerves and adrenaline. Even the greats like Idina Menzel and other big ones. Performers aren't machines.

Not to be nitpicky, Starkid, but I think the lyric "though you'll try to stop me, we'll still dance" would work better than "though they'll try to stop us, always dance" at the end.
WonderfulLizardOfOz not really because he’s talking to the “You” person and the “You” person is part of the “we” and the “You” would never try to stop because the “you” is part of the “us” and the “us” will always dance. The “they” is other people that might judge the “us” for dancing
And to add onto the comment from 9 years ago, "Always" is a very big part of Harry Potter in general, so that's also their throw in and giving that word it's "power" if you will in yhe musical universe as well
