In this video, we'll be learning the basics of making an isometric room in blender 3.3.
Isometric rooms are simple geometrically positioned rooms with a top view of a 3d scene. We use Blender to make super-easy and super-realistic isometric rooms in blender.
This is also suitable for Blender 3d Beginners, if they want a full tutorial on making an isometric room in blender.
We will learn modelling tips in blender, we will learn material tricks in blender, we will learn texturing tricks in blender and we will learn lighting tricks in blender.
This isometric room tutorial has everything. It is a modelling tutorial, texturing tutorial, shader tutorial and lighting tutorial all together.

I'm a simple man. I saw a red arrow - I clicked. And also watched the whole video. Nice work! Love your content! :)
🎣
I love the humor in this lmao. The rooms you made are so prettyyy
thanks man! appreciate it
the cube is back!!
Really enjoy the bits of humour in your videos
That jab at the clients tho 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 but it is also very true
😬. Was it worth it tho. I'll be jobless forever now.
@@stache_obj Bit of a personal question but has your CZcams channel and online presence gotten you any job offers?
@@_S_P_A_C_E_M_A_N_ nope. Not yet. I had a freelance thing going on before i started this channel.
@@stache_obj Thanks. I'm in the freelance stage right now and am wondering if an online presence would be a worthwhile investment. Best of luck 😁
@@_S_P_A_C_E_M_A_N_ it definitely would. It'll just take time. Probably an year or so of consistent uploading.
Keep at it though 👍🏻
Please make a full tutorial on one of these! :) we would learn so much
Hey Stache!! really in need of a tutorial for Isometric rooms. I've watched this video 4 times over the months and it's still informative every other goddam time!! so Ig a tutorial is a must. N for God's sake pls get it soon coz u'r few of those Artist i can trust in terms of Quality & Informative Education.
I appreciate u watching it multiple times. But I have no plans to make a longer tutorial buddy. I have moved on to other projects. Sorry!
You came out of nowhere with killer content, thank you for not being a click baity ass, and for the absolute gold content, really, I've been working as a 3D generalist for 5 years, and there is stuff here I just never thought of, amazing.
Thanks kendarr. This means the world to me. Appreciate you
@@stache_obj That volume trick is top tier, just used on a scene :D
dude i love your videos and style of humor
Nothing makes me more happy than someone calling me funny. So i appreciate it a lot.
Very nice video, I also love the editing. Keep up the amazing work!!!
I love you level of detail. Going on to make an isometric room this week...and maybe two a month until I get as good as you are!! Thank you for the tips.
Glad i could help buddy!
5:30 the program is pureref if anyone is curious. It's a huge help
love your channel , hope you stay consistent and grow it :)
He is a floating default cube with a mustache. He must be god.
Yes. I also have a religion. Cubentology.
That outro has motivated to push myself to learn Blender more! Thanks a lot, loved your humor btw
Ayy glad that helped.
@@stache_obj Just one issue, I like to follow up with time lapse video section but your face distracts me to do so, in addition it overlaps and hides some of the settings you do on the right panels. But I also don't want you to remove it, just keep it at a place where it's still on the screen but do not overlap the settings in the BG video. THANKS 🙏
Your presentation, cadence and the material itself was SO effing awesome to watch. I hope there are more of these in the future. Thank you so much for putting this together. Cheers!
Glad you found it useful 😁
Stache - First of all, I think your tutorials are the best. Second, how in the heck are you making your talking head?
It's a real cube. Not a creation. He will hunt you down if you keep calling him names
Really cool video! Learned a lot here so thank you
Thanks man.
u r mad at blender, i love u
thanks 👍
cube chan
I'd be very interested in a step-by-step tutorial to follow along with.
Man, you made my day! :)
I think it's the other way around my man
Please make a tutorial for the blood on the floor
this video is funny and informative at same time 👏
You're nice and kinda wholesome at the same time
Watching old videos waiting on some new Stache content
New video by the end of April. Thanks for waiting
I am going to make some ugly isometric rooms. I started before after my donut but got distracted and didn't go back to it but I will now that you are pressuring me because of your moustache
Godspeed my man. Put your all into it. Coz i love my moustache.
Amazing, cool and liminal....I'm just starting and would love a step by step to follow along ;)
Coming right up then.
Well maybe not right up, but soon.
Well maybe not soon but, pretty soon.
Maybe...
@@stache_obj 😂
great vid! very informative, the box to stop light bleeding out is incredibly smart. how long did it take to make these renders?
Each room maybe 2-3 days. Not much.
i really like your videos..bro👌
Make a step by step tutorial on somatic room
This is a great idea to skillbuild with :)
I actually started my journey recently after opening up the GECK for Fallout games and soon found myself learning tons of thungs about Blender so I could really make some new unique... everything. Lol
But these are great! I'll end up with a collection of isometric room pieces to add to my portfolio and can even use some of them as room (dungeon) base pieces as a plus! :D Thank you!
Hell yeah. Send those renders to me if you ever finish them. I'd love to check them out too
@@stache_obj sure will! I just managed to get 2.8 to run on one of my available machines (super happy about that actually) so I'm finding all of the tools I just learned to find in 2.79... hah. Been watching many tutorials and juat general tip vids-- knew it'd be sensible to at least make the UI jump before I get too comfortable. How different would you say 2.8 is to 3.5?
You know what, i don't think a lot. I'd suggest you jump Directly to 3.5. it's much faster than 2.8 with better features and capabilities. So definitely recommend 3.5
@@stache_obj if I can I will, I'm working with an odd set of machines. They handle some gaming basics well (dated games like New Vegas/3 and Gears 1) but I'm finding "tuning for Blender" to be a new thing for me... also driver problems in my Intel HD Graphics machine :P
You mentioned that you used to have less ideal hardware before so I'm sure you know the struggle. Haha
Since I literally just now got 2.8 to run well, it's a relief it won't change too much more going forward. Probably just missing out on newer features for the time being.
Edit: Right off the bat I see how much more inutuitive just the interface basics are... and the viewport doesn't stretch for n/t menus. I prefer the old one press "select/deselect all with A" function and need to adjust for that... so, already a bit lost looking for 2.7 tools I just figured out. A couple days I'll find 'em fine.
There's just so much to learn, but videos like these are great for encouraging new users. These isometric rooms seem simple but freeform enough for one to familiarize with all the tools comfortably. :)
(And thank you! I will!)
Ohhh. Damn that sucks. I totally relate. And yeah. 2.8 is different but not like night and day. You'll definitely be able to make a smooth transition. So keep at it
You are so funny! Kept me watching all the way through
Aww thanks man. Appreciate it.
Subscribe tho, or I'll come haunt you at night bro
@@stache_obj Will do dude
Why am I - a (mostly) straight man - attracted to a cube? It must be the "come to a rendered bed" eyes and the "I just used the inflate tool" lips. You turned me into a cubosexual and I'm here to thank you for it.
Call me 🤙
I find your video helpful
I find your comment really helpful
@@stache_obj helpful for what
My ego
Are you in college
Why do u ask that 😂
That talking moustached cube seems to know his shit. Neat 😄🤩
He's from blender itself. He ought to know his shit
Hi there, may I know how did you create the bounding box at 8:15 and make it invisible? Appreciate your help =)
Sure. In the object properties tab there is a visibility drop-down. Just disable the camera visibility of that bounding box, meaning hide it's visibility just for the camera. And you should be good.
@@stache_obj Omg I managed to get it to work, I was wondering why my whole scene was black, and silly me forgot because it was blocking rays from outside, my environment couldnt light the scene. Thanks a lot !
Yes I Interesting that
I'll like to learn making vfx if u could suggest me tips or something it would be great
It all depends on what you wanna learn man. I wish i could guide you to something specific but if i were you, I'd just plan something i wanna make and just watch particular tutorials where i get stuck.
@@stache_obj ok ill keep the thing in mind ty for the tutorial 🤓
How do you apply decals???
I have tried different ways but none of them gave me the flexibility I was looking for....?
You either texture paint it as a stencil or just mix it with another material and use the decals alpha as the factor of the mix shader.
In case you're confused ping me on instagram.
This video is golden! hahahahahaha
Glad you liked it
Bro I really Want to work with you
And how do we do that
@@stache_obj we both will record tutorial so that we can produce more content.
If you are comfortable with a member on your side . I am not going to do it for money
I like how he drowned that basic human mesh into the blood 😢
Don't tell anybody. Or you'll be next
Thank you YT algorithm for showing me DDD. Insta-sub! I would love a video for noobs.
Well i better get started then
My mom thiks that i am gay but it doesnt matter - i want an amazing isometric room tutorial
Wait what 😂😂😂😂
Are you a VTuber?
Sure. Why not
