Eddie has the right attitude in a lot of things he does - success or failure. I really like this guy
It's crazy that Eddie paved a path for Constance Wu to become Rachel in Crazy Rich Asians
lmao
Eddie's the Man!
he literally built her career for her
Taiwanese representing ! From one Huang to another! Nice job Eddie. From the people of Taiwan, we are proud of you.
I respect the human panda so much. His genuine personality is what makes him a star.
⭐!thanks!
I like how eddie stands up for whatever he feels like right. Thank u eddie. Everyone's not willing to walk away from any money for whats right. I support u.
Well made documentary. I look up to this guy and can relate towards him in many ways, coming from hardworking immigrant parents. I am inspired on what he does and what he represents. Thanks Huang.
Manuel Flores I hope to meet him one day. No idea what I’d say, but he is very influential. I just hope I can do the same on a smaller scale with people around me.
As a son of immigrants thank you Eddie
Agree, the documentary grew more interesting as Eddie's life evolved. Inspiring American immigrant story.
I Love the show (fresh off the boat). Got a lot of respect for Eddie and his family!
Family is not easy but necessary to succeed. (Remember that not everybody has family that is this dadicadet!!() wish mine was....)
insightful and inspiring... not only did Eddie create a lane for himself but we see in depth why he is successful his parents were pioneers themselves. Great Doc!
Eddie doesnt picture the come up alone. he brings people up with him
He's like Bourdain and Obama all in one. This dude is going to be President one day.
We got Andrew Yang now to vote for and they have similar values and ideas. Eddie has talked about universal basic income.
LOL wasn't that suppose to be Evan's dream ? 😂😂😂
He is such a genuine character. Being true to himself.
He is like one of the most attractive people ever, like everything about him.
Great Documentary. Eddie deserved this!
This guy an inspiration to not just Asians but people everywhere
Peter and Yen I doubt it would inspire other ethnicities it only inspires us Asians when we see an up-and-coming Asian rapper or singer we get excited or someone in sports we get excited like Jeremy Lin for an example. Only we can be relate because we are Asians. I can’t relate to two Chainz young thug etc. because they aren’t Asian I can only relate to their music just an example but not how they are
Big fan of Eddie....Amazing piece..great storytelling ozy
His mom's ring though...it's HUGE.
Eddie is a Badass
It's crazy. That pork bao looks so good. Bucket list.
Love Eddie, love the family dynamic. Beautiful
Excellent insight into Eddie...he's so genuine and real ,love The show too.
The sound in this video is insanely well-done. Good job to the music/sound editor.
I love Taiwan 🇹🇼 I miss eating San-Bai-Ji ( 3 Cup Chicken ) & all the Taiwanese Foods, Night Market “Shao- che ( Small eats/snacks ) hot pot , dumplings, seafood, breakfast restaurants etc.
I lived in Taiwan for 8 years & love it there.
Really dope documentary!!
i love his new york accent
my dad beat me when i was young but did i get angry yes i did but he made me the man that i am today and i'm proud of it
Huge respect to this man
Anthony Bourdain bless this man! RIP TONY
Great story!
LOVE THIS GUY! His books are fantastic! What a cool Dude!
I read the book still love this
my heart goes out to his dad. hitting his child must have hurt so much. we often forget how the perpetrators of parental violence are the real victims, really. they hit because they love. /s
Eddie---->what motivates him? money, fame and love to be loved.
...exactly...no one likes losing...but it's how you crawl up that matters. Life is a long journey that sometimes hurts and educative. Life, the reason to live. Life, the reason to keep on working until death because I'm never retiring...
Couldn’t relate more as a first gen. Mexicano
dope interview
Why did they blur out Emery's face in every photo?
Eddie and MC Jin look like brothers (°Д°)
This was well done. He’s an interesting young man. I would’ve like to have known more about his personal life. Does he want to get married and have kids? What kind of parent would he be, given his experience with his own dad? As for his problems with the TV show, I don’t think any writer likes the way their work has been adapted for the stage or screen, but that doesn’t stop them from cashing the checks.
I cried hearing this story because it is so evocatively telling of such a dramatic story so thank you to all who made it happen.
Can somebody tell me what happen to Emery ? I'm so confuse that he's blurreded out in every photo and I never see him with his brothers in the documentaries.
Being beat as a child that ish shaks you up
Nothing is good enough is probably a common message Asian kids got from their parents.
Don Cheng that is the phrase.
It’s never good enough man. Funny how similar our cultures are. It’s also a very beautiful thing knowing that
Ain't that the fucking truth :/
Working hard is our job as immigrants but sometimes, some weight is too heavy to lift. What? Never mind.
-Eddie Huang has touched lives across the globe...and inspiring virtues.
You need your own show on tv
Anyone know where I can download all of his episodes? Action Bronson's too
Eddie Huang do a whole .series on Native Americans
He didn't drop out of law school Angela ... He in fact aced law school NAILED the bar GOT INTO BIGLAW and got laid off coz of 08... Get ur premise right before making superficial and false analyses....
INCORRECT. Are you an Eddie shill??
eddie did drop out but he went back later to finish
5:10 that's exactly what my mom would say. 😂😂😂
Why is Emory's face blurred?
HE IS LEADER OF THE TRIAD
@@buildinit6523 What Do You Mean Triad?
Vincent Huynh the Chineze Yakuza
@@buildinit6523 you're joking right?
Emery is a successful writer, he probably didn't want to over shadow Eddie and Evan (this is about Eddie)
what I strive for
wow they censored out everything, all the toyota logos and Emery lmao
Dude is a boss
Same things with me. I dropped out of college. I think my Thai ingredients for Thai food is better way than most.

Why are they blurring emery's face?
thumb up!
Message to my fellow Americans: As an ageing white guy, I have always thought you were all this great. I love that you can do it all, I love that you bring the whole world to our national picnic. Uh, that said, Eddie's a little over the top. It's ok to just be brilliant at a COUPLE of things. Someday maybe I'll get to meet you; until then, don't forget to vote.
Wondered why at 2.22 one if eddies brothers face is blurred
What's the music starting 11:30?

What happened to his second brother
Why is the music so much louder than the speaking?
Why is the 3rd kid in the family portraits always has his face blurred out lmao
King of crabs 🥃✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
this is so me.
Smart guy, he plays liberal emotions like a violin, now thats how you brand yourself,
The show Fresh off the Boat is an extremely watered down version of what it is in an Asian household. Coming from an Asian, it is laughable of how they portray an Asian family.
He mentioned how wrong the show is and how things get changed that he doesnt approve of
The best part of the show is going on CZcams and seeing the comments from real Asians calling out stuff like the misconception that an Asian mom would actually apologize to her kids.
Or that an Asian parent ever says “I’m proud of you” for anything less than perfection
SOMEBODY TELL ME WHY EMERY'S FACE WAS BLURRED????
Never seen this long documentary about Asian man
21:50 what was going on here??
I dig you and your egg smoker EddiE!😁
Oh my God! I'm happy I don't have a father like his!
The interviewer sounds like Bert kreischer when i close my eys -_-
What happened to emery
Why is one of the brothers' face blurred??
He's on the FBI most wanted list for human trafficking.
Hes on FBI most wanted for being too woke for TV
are you serious?? Where did you hear that??
Us Asians are the underdogs of America.... he said you can make front of my eyes weight but I know you love our food because I see you eating it 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
Respect human panda 🙌
Don't be racist.
Number 1 lol
@@margaretschulman623 wdym? thats eddie his nickname that he gave himself...
Please Eddie save me I am so apart of your lifestyle yes I’m Taiwanese and the same been pick on and being the best player in my neighborhood from being the best hustler and almost losing it all which I did but they didn’t take my life . God , food and music and etc is what I am today . Nothing like you but a little . But we are still two alike in different ways but same story line . Maybe this could be our next movie . The other side beside sports which guides my life where I work at . I always think it was playing sports why I’m so good at what think I do . I’m funny and can Adapt to anytime any place any voice

Great observation.

UUUHHH WHAT???? GREAT AMERICAN STORY REGARDLESS. YOU ARE A GLASS HALF EMPTY,,,,, YES?
@@margaretschulman623 SO WHAT IS THE POINT YOU FOUL MOUTHED CRETAN
@@buildinit6523 NAHHH DOG, JUST AIN'T FALLIN FOR BULLSHIT/FAKE NONSENSE YO
Spoiled rich kids smh
You nailed it.
Well made documentary. I’ve lost a lot of respect for Eddies Street cred, despite being a huge fan of his work and hustle. I grew up a 4th generation immigrant of the US, grew up with way less opportunity. Cry me a river there was no diversity in Orlando from the 5,000 sq ft house grew up in. Try I sleep in a sleeping bag in somebody’s living room with the rest of my family and everybody thinks I’m racist because I’m a white male. GTFO Eddie, you think you have a handle on what America needs, go enlist. Great guy, bad perspective.
Not everyone thinks White people are all Racist. Growing up in Jersey, I didn't think anyone was Racist until they started saying stuff that sounded semi Racist. Everyone can be Racist. I wish you well man.
Most of the abuse done to immigrants is by immigrate parents, if they where in their home country they could tell their grand parents or other extended families about it but because they are now cut of from that its sort of ever man for them selves. Best solution to this problem is stay in your home country, the problem is most immigrants are rejects probably personality disorders of one kind or another hence the abuse.
Matthew Vu Dafuq? This has gotta be the dumbest comment. Where do you think the parents get the so called abuse from? The grandparents. You sound like a fucken snowflake. You know nothing of old school Asian families.
wow that was harsh smh
