It's so old people tend to forget about it. Plus Cedar Point has all those other Hypers or taller like Steel Vengeance, Millennium Force, Valravn, Top Thrill Dragster, it makes it hard to remember them all.

It sunk so much it’s 199 ft now. For real though I got some really solid rides on it last year. I’d also rank Diamondback and quite a bit higher.
So happy to see Behemoth get some love. With so many enthusiasts being US-based, not a whole lot of people have even had the chance to get the credit
This is my #1 bucket list hyper coaster! Behemoth looks amazing!

1. Phantom

5. Mamba (as of 2022 mid course being turned down)
I rode mako last month as my first hyper and I couldn't get enough of it. That first half is seriously one of the best anywhere. Sooooo much strong floater!! The second half is considerably tamer but I still thought it was fun. Can't recommend mako enough!
I agree 100% with Goliath at SFOG. Best B&M hyper. Every single element slaps so hard. No dead spots. Great speed and ejector airtime in the back row thanks to the long 9 car trains.
Glad Goliath is getting the love it DESERVES! By FAR my favorite traditional hyper!

How come rides like Cannibal and Der Schwur Des Karnan get passes but dive coasters don't? I feel like those two rides offer the same, if not more wacky gimmicks.
Dive coasters can be slow and not that great that’s why the dive coasters are excluded
but he said only lift hill rollercoasters and cannibal has a elevator, plus he said the dive coasters were left out for being too gimmicky not because they are slow.
Please ride Raging Bull at Six Flags Great America in the back row only!! Extra emphasis on the back row!
Raging Bull is one of my favorite hypers. Also at my home park 🤓. Back row is the best. Hands down. I’m glad Taylor finally gave it the props it needed.
My favorite hyper coaster is Superman: The Ride at Six Flags New England, followed by The Phantoms Revenge at Kennywood, Raging Bull at Six Flags Great America, Mako at SeaWorld Orlando, Diamondback at Kings Island, Titan at Six Flags Over Texas, Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia, Steel Eel at SeaWorld San Antonio, Wild Thing at Valleyfair, Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Superman: Ride of Steel at Six Flags America, and Magnum XL 200 at Cedar Point.
As a European based coaster fan I was happy to add Intimidator (Carowinds) and Goliath (SFoG) to my coaster credits last year. Also managed to do some re-rides on Silver Star last year and rode Hyperion the year before.
This year I'm hoping to ride Shambhala and next year hopefully some of the Chinese hypers (my wife's hometown is close to the park where Flash is).
Man I'm very jealous of you some of those Chinese coasters look amazing
I’m surprised you haven’t rode Shambhala!! assuming that you probably would’ve ranked it in top 5. It might be one of the best B&M hypercoasters or hypercoaster in general.
Diamondback looks solid. I’m hoping to make it out to Ohio to finally try it for the first time

It's my favorite hyper and my favorite rollercoaster period out of roughly 170. Hope you can make it out and get a few rides on it. The front row is amazing views but doesn't have as good airtime after midcourse. Back 3 rows are the magical seats in my opinion!

The very back row tries to throw you out of the train entirely. I love this coaster and it outranks Magnum XL-200 at CP in my opinion.
Back row's where it's at... everyone talks about flojector airtime, but there's no floater about those back rows. It's all solid ejector. Better hope those restraints keep you in your seat
I believe the accident on Superman was before it was named Bizarro. But also they may have gotten new trains when they re-themed it
According to Wikipedia, the current restraints came in when it was themed *to* Bizarro in 2009. The trains also had onboard audio, which made them heavier. The onboard audio was removed with the retheming back to Superman: The Ride in 2016, but the restraints stayed the same.
There were earlier modifications made to the restraints after the 2004 accident, adding shin guards and side bars.
In 2022 I was only able to make it to Valleyfair one time, but, that day was great! Wild Thing had zero trims and was running ridiculously fast. The ending hills were straight flojector airtime! Man I wish you could have experience it!

I totally agree with Skyrush at number 1. I was blown away by that ride and it’s in my top 5 easily if not my number 1 coaster in general.

I have now ridden two (2) hypercoasters. I rank them in the following order:
1. Superman: The Ride (Six Flags New England)
2. Shambhala (PortAventura)
And I think that ranking is already controversial!! Honestly it's a near thing; they're both among the best coasters I've ever ridden (and are often cited as among the best hypers). Shambhala is taller and has better restraints, seating, setting and presentation; Superman has a better layout, with more exciting forces and a far superior ending, which puts it on top for me. I am not nearly as bothered by Superman's restraints as the average enthusiast is, though B&M clamshells are obviously better.
My homepark is valleyfair and i totally agree!

Only have 2 traditional hyper credits and they couldn't be more differently viewed....

Thanks Michael! Steel Curtain would’ve qualified but I haven’t ridden it unfortunately. I visited Kennywood in 2019 before it opened. closest I got was seeing it test.

Great list, but Kondaa, Goliath, Expedition GeForce & Alpina Blitz all arent 200+ ft. those are mega coasters :)
Heck yeah Skyrush at number 1! Obviously if we were including the rmcs it would only be #4, but that's still great.

6. Steel Force-Dorney Park
5. Candymonium-Hersheypark
4. Diamondback-Kings Island
3. Skyrush-Hersheypark
2. Phantom’s Revenge-Kennywood
1. Magnum XL-200-Cedar Point
Just rode Apollo's Chariot last week, I think it is probably the weakest hyper for the lesser airtime and forces. That said, the location makes it an awesome time.

X2 is by far my favorite hyper so far and I am excited to ride more in the future.
Yeah Diamondback is amazing. Tons of airtime, fairly intense for a hyper. Some of these rides on this list aren’t traditional hyper coasters. Magnum XL 200 is just pure history def isn’t the worst I’ve been on either. I went on Apollo’s Chariot the year it opened. Wasn’t impressed then. I don’t think you had Raging Bull on here. Maybe I missed it?
What if RMC built a coaster with I-box track but a steel structure similar to what companies like GCI or Gravity Group have used on some of their wooden coasters? Would you consider that a hyper coaster? I so no if it has inversions. I wouldn't include Cannibal either as I think that's a different type of ride.
You need to get to Great America and compete the American B&M hypers with the first one over 200 feet tall. And the best

Here’s how I rank all the Hypers I’ve ridden
1. Cannibal (I rode it once cause it was closed until the last 20 minutes the park was open, and I rode it when I became a thoosie in 4th grade, but holy crap I will never forget that ride)
2. Apollo (underrated af) (but it’s also the only B&M hyper I’ve ridden so idk)
3. Goliath SFMM (disrespectful to my home park)
4. Big Apple Coaster (i rode it post comfort collars and it’s still not the worst coaster I’ve ridden, but it’s pretty freaking bad)
5. Desperado (my most elusive credit besides Magic Flyer at SFMM, but this ride is awful, janky, rough, boring, airtimeless, forceless, and it came from my favorite manufacturer, it makes me sad they made this. I also rode it in 4th grade and I will never forget how awful it was, also thank you grandma for letting me ride this before it closed)
Also this April, I’ll be going to Georgia and I’m gonna ride my 2nd B&M hyper, Goliath I’m so hyped (great joke me)
What hurts Intimidater at Carowinds is his big brother 😮
I’m glad I’m not the only one that shares a similar opinion on Goliath.. it’s literally the most forceless coaster that I have ever ridden I would honestly rank the Big Apple coaster above because of its unique layout and more airtime slightly.
Have you not been to Six Flags Great America? I feel like you would love Raging Bull especially in the back seat because of its pretty unique layout and experience

@@AudreyMealiff I am going with my parents and brother to barcelona in june for a long weekend. I kinda want to visit portaventura for the first time, but at the same time it feels like a dick move to go to a themepark on a vacation that my parents are kind enough to pay for.
@@thomaswijgerse723 Why don't all the family go? Portaventura is just on the edge of Salou, if your parents aren't into the theme park they could enjoy Salou while you and your brother go to the parks. I'd recommend Fastpass if you are only going for one day, as there is a lot to cram in. Enjoy, it's brilliant!!

Candymonium is a great ride pretty average length for a B&M Hyper but worth a 1-3 hour wait for airtime and ride itsself
Hyper coaster called Hyperion, I love that. I want to ask, I've heard that Hyperion is tallest and fastest hyper coaster in the world, idk if it's true
Hyperion has a height of 252.6 ft, but the drop is 269 ft since it dives into a tunnel. Thunder Dolphin at Tokyo Dome City is 262.5 ft, but the drop is only 218.2 ft. You take your pick :)
@@CoasterDash Thanks for info! Hyperion looks a lot better, and it's drop is larger, it's airtime, and overall that layout looks better. But it's cool how Thunderdolphin is on the roof and goes through that wheel
The 1st two are like Magnum: they don't even have a 200' drop! The only other one on this like that has a is Goliath at SFOG. Its 175' drop is said to be the 2nd although in the POV to me it looks like the third, as the one before the steep downward helix LOOKS like it's the biggest. Then there's a mild trough trim followed by insane airtime hills.
Thanks for loving Behemoth; it's my favourite I've ridden on this list. I like it better than Millennium Force which I like better than Raging Bull which I like better than Nitro which I like better than Leviathan. So far, Steel Vengeance is the only coaster I've ridden I like better. I may go to Carowinds in 2 weeks for my 1st time. If not: King's Island later. Thanks for posting!
Didn’t you say on this list the rides can’t have a gimmick to it, cannibal has 2 massive dive loops and the lagoon roll and an elevator on the coaster.

Goliath can have a rough rattle if you catch it on the wrong day.
Canibal, Hyperion and schwur des kärnan are not Hyper Coster because they have at least one inversion, to be considered hyper: being a full-circuit roller coaster (not being a shuttle type), whose height is greater than 61 meters (200 feet). , with no inversion, ascend by a chain or cable climb, otherwise good top, has very good credits 😋

Rode my first hyper this weekend, Apollo’s Chariot. It’s a great coaster, very smooth and fun, but it’s kinda boring compared to Twisted Timber, which I rode just last week and thought was WAY better. Ejector > Floater all the way
They did kill the trims on mamba completely so you actually fly through the final airtime hills

You have to ride those
So everyone to their own opinion but to me personally for my list of hyper coasters, I eliminate any that have inversions because they are another type of coaster. Not sure if it's hyper looping or what but anything like X2, dive coasters, launch coasters, infinity coasters with inversions, etc are not "true hyper coasters" in my rankings. If others wish to include them that's perfectly fine but to me a hyper is something over 200' tall or something that has a 200' drop which features a complete circuit layout with a lift hill and no inversions. (Perhaps if I ever travel to Europe, I will change my definition because some of their hypers have one or two inversions but in all other ways still function as hyper coasters) To make matters clear Magnum XL 200 is the original hyper and the one that kinda sets the criteria in my book.

Good video and a good list. IMO, Goliath at SFOG is not above Mako or Diamondback. It’s good, but not one of my favorites.
Tbh I think that you are fairly rating Superman the ride at SFNE. I feel like a lot of people (including myself) would agree with your opinion on that coaster.

Hey after traveling the country last summer, it's still my favorite rollercoaster experience in the back row and I'm at nearly 170 credits. No shame in sticking with diamondback because it's a really really good ride!

My top 3 would be Kärnan, Behemoth, Silver Star, I wish I have ridden more hypers

I still think Nitro is way better than most of the other B&M hyper besides Goliath, Diamondback, and maybe Mako. I’ve been getting stupid strong floater in the back and almost blacked out on the helix. Tip: Ride on the D-Train if possible. For god knows what reason it runs so much faster than A or C train. Also the lap bar doesn’t come down as much as the other trains. It does run a little rougher later in the day.

If you liked Superman: Ride of Steel at SFA, you'll probably like Ride of Steel at SFDL better due to it's scenery and better train.

Steel Force is 😢unless you sit in the back loll then it’s worth riding 😂 because sitting anywhere else is a speed killer && good luck trying to get air time on those bunny hills 😅

Shambhala is fantastic--I just rode it a week and a half ago. However... I rank it below Superman: The Ride! The first half is spectacular, but the layout does kind of peter out at the end, with a very late midcourse brake run followed by a turn and a mild hill. Superman keeps delivering with exciting elements right up to the final brakes, even though it's longer than Shambhala. That's what puts it over the top for me. I think which you'd say is better depends heavily on what you value the most, because Shambhala is superior in some regards (it's more visually beautiful, has better seating and more comfortable restraints, and the first half with the ampersand turnaround does beat Superman).
It's sad that he hasn't ridden raging bull. I feel like he'll like it.

Titan is slightly steeper than Goliath. Anyways idk why six flags didn't get a B&M cause this was during their splurging Era or even intamin. They made superman ride of steel in the same time period.

Missed best one I'm sure you will claim it's too rough yet you rank 2 high praising them for the ejector yes I'm taking about the most underrated coaster and most hated for the same reason others are loved magnum xl 200 at cedar point
I don’t dislike Magnum for giving a rough ride. I think it’s flawed because of its layout. poor first half, better second half but still uncomfortable.
But the same could be said for steel force expect Magnums 2nd half is much better I have not been on wild thing or momba
I have always loved Magnum XL 200 in all parts of the layout. The first drop gives you a sailing sensation in the back rows that B&M hypers don't give you. Sure there's not a lot of airtime on the going out section but it's got decent speed/drops, a tunnel, and the views of the lake are unrivaled! Hit that crazy pretzel turnaround and it makes up for any "lack of airtime" in the second half. Those ejector hills in the two return tunnels are really good especially at night when it's pitch black. My sister and I always do a Magnum Marathon for the last hour each time we visit seeing as it's basically a walk on near the end of the night. Fun story, the airtime popped her seatbelt against the lap bar and it came off. She grabbed it and was holding the buckle end of it as the on ride camera captured the moment. Really wish I had that picture...
Catch Magnum on a hot summer's night without the trims right before the pretzel. Without trims and running at it's fullest potential in car 1, row 3: Magnum XL200 is purely demonic.
So let me get this right: your favorite roller coaster element you've ever experienced is Kingda Ka's launch now that Top Thrill Dragster is closed for reimagination.
