Did you ever consider sewing Velcro on the back along the opening? You can have the best of both worlds. Easy and consistent access for repair, plus you can close it back up tight as many times as you want/need and it will always look nice.
@@TheGemmyRepairGuy I just never took the time to learn that's all, it was never important to me, my grandma showed me before but 1 time didnt stick lol
I like to see the insides of toys or even decorations to see how it works and learn stuff about how it works. I have done this before with a Super Mario bouncing toy because i wanted to fix it but sadly i didn’t. But mario isn’t my actual favorite so it wasn’t that bad.
I have the same Frosty that is sadly not working anymore. He is my favorite. I live in New Jersey. Any recommendations for somewhere I can take him for repair? Thanks in advance!
So how do you fix it when the hips don't move? You talked about the belt was off did you just have to put that back on? I have the Mrs snowflake. She Twirls the lights and she sings and the cheeks light up but her hips don't move.
How are you Jordan?? Can I send my spinning frosty to you so you can repair it?? It doesn’t work at all...it needs repair on its right arm, it’s hips don’t move, the flakes light up but not spin and the speaker is not functioning....
Hi Jordan, my daughter just picked up the same Frosty today at a Goodwill. It is in immaculate condition, the hips and left arm work fine, but the right arm does not rotate. I exposed the gear and the belt is spinning the gears and I believe the gears are engaging, yet the arm only twitches a little if touched. Any advice or direction to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated! And if you can't do so, maybe you know someone that could be helpful as you.
Actually, I found gears on eBay with the following description: 75pcs Plastic Gear Rack Pulley Belt Worm Model Truck Robotic Car DIY Hobby. The key is probably DIY hobby.
My mother had one before she died she was really into Christmas, but it won’t turn start and I’m not sure why. Could you help bring Mr frosty the snowman to life for me? Or if anyone is familiar with this type of thing. It may be water damaged but I’ve had this in the family since the day I was born.
I like these restoration videos. Sometimes I can learn new things.
Thats one of the coolest Gemmy decors I've ever seen.. The movement is impressive too
I remember listening to this around Christmas 2001
He wasn't even made 2001

I know how to sew but I don’t know how to “latter stitch” I think it’s called which is basically a way more neater version of sewing like normal.

I'm not sure how to put that center part back in...the part that rotates with the the belt ....and moves the hips...does the hip rods go thru it?

I would recommend replacing the belt

How do you get Frosty's back open?
First part: When you change the audio😂
Would it kill their profits to use metal gears instead of plastic? I mean how much more per unit would it cost Gemmy?
They would be 10 times noiser and wouldn't work as well
why does everything you own break on camra?
What broke on camera here?
