The film Metropolis is well worth seeing-a great film & the special effects were totally mind blowing for 1927.
and a powerful story that it's been told in the movie, still relevant and influential... heck, many sci-fi movies of today are focused on the same themes. How about that? that's why the movie is a masterpiece
R.I.P Fritz Lang and Freddie Mercury 🙏
Especially the revised version that had colour and queen songs on
They say this song inspired a certain "Lady's" stage name....
She openly admit that she got her stage name from this song.
@@MobinKiadeh the way I phrased it was meant to be in a joking manner. Your misinterpretation is in you.
Hi! I'm so glad some people still love Queen music after all these years. ❤️❤️❤️ 👊👊🙌👊👊🙌👊👊🙌👊👊🙌
a few notes for you.....the people in white are members of the Queen fan club.....the black and white footage is from the film " matropolis" by fritz lang
'Metropolis' even 😉
@@normandavidtidiman9918 i am dyslecteric.....lol
When drummer Roger Taylor's son was young the radio was on and he said " Radio Ca Ca" so Roger decided to write a song based on that but because ca- ca ( you know ...poop) wasn't the best title, so he change it to Radio Gaga. This is a huge ritual song at the annual Queen Conventions in the UK. ( Proud to say I have attended 11 of them!)
This song is already pretty good, but what's even better is their performance of it at Live Aid in 1985. It really got the crowd there going.
Great song live. This video is "inspired" by the Silent movie Metropolis
Yay more Queen
Also first lol
Love this song..also
These are the days of our lives..Freddy Mercury...legend...
The movie Bohemian Rhapsody..
You must see the Live Aid performance of this song - AMAZING .
i did thata what i said in the beginning that made me watch the actual video
First MTV video. Rumors has it that before been famous Lady GaGa was around the studio always singing this song and a producer baptized her Lady Ga Ga
Jayy, I love your reactions! Always so honest and genuine 🥰 Thank you xxx
I saw Queen live three times brilliant every time
You know a certain Lady got her name from this song since she is a huge Queen fan 😁
Fabulous! Queen is truly eternal! Its an interesting look back on how the radio was relied on for news as well as music and other forms of entertainment. The lyrics refer to famous moments in history that were heard on the radio. In the lines "wars of world invaded by mars", he's referring to the infamous radio show "war of the worlds" narrated by Orson Wells and Winston Churchill's famous "finest hour" speech. The video is also mirroring the famous silent movie Metropolis, which is set in a dystopian future. Brian May and Roger Taylor did a series of audio commentaries of certain songs/music videos and they did an interesting one for this song/video. czcams.com/video/Gk-dy-nCfEI/video.html
Their whole Live Aid 1985 Set is Amazing
You totally should watch (for yourself) the behind the scenes clip for this! It’s ADORABLE.
Rhythm section- Roger and John, bravo boys!
Roger - synth drums (drum machine)
John Deacon one of hes greatest bass tracks put on a Queen song.
Fred Mandel - dope synth work
my fav queen song..got this on 45 when it first come out
WHYYYYYYYY is Roger so gosh darn BEAUTIFUL.... he is just EVERYTHING
Your enthusiasm is infectious :D
bands were so awesome live back in those days.
Jayy: They promised flying cars in 2020 and we didn't get them!
Also Jayy: Watching Queen videos on an iPhone.
He sure did KILL IT, at Live Aid! Well, They KILLED EVERY SONG at Live Aid,as. I've heard u say too. In my opinion, Queen should be on darn near every one's top 10 if not top 5 (Definitely in my top 5) list of great musicians songwriters performers, & the list goes on, & on, as you I along with probably darn near everyone can agree with. Just an absolute gift to the music industry into the world!
Japanese company has a prototype flying car , its been possible for awhile but it's a safety issue , and testing various versions before production , Ilike self driving cars it takes time
THE REAL DIFFERENCE!!!!!! ...... "REAL" Instruments.... "REAL" Vocals.... "REAL" Originality... "REAL" Music
Absolutely adore this song
Hi Jayy, I discovered Queen in my Uncles record collection in 1976, I was 7 heard them for the first time and been a fan ever since, well done Jayy, thx for keeping all this retro music current💋🌈
I love the Queen song You’re my Best Friend. Makes me so happy.
Freddie sang "Love Kills" in the colorized version of Metropolis, which was released around that time by Giorgio Morodor.
If you have not heard this from live said concert, you should. I was not much of a queen fan back in the day, but this song gave me goosebumps. Also, I think the video is based on an old silent black and white movie called Metropolis. Well done
I said in the beginning I watched the live aid that’s what inspired me to do this video
This song still gives me goosebumps
This is one of my very favorites by Queen!! I will say though that the Live Aid version is better in my opinion. But this is excellent!
I find it funny for some reason that it's Roger that's driving the car lol
The live Aid version is better in my opinion too. It's because they sped it up for Live Aid. It's the same with Hammer to Fall.
Roger wrote the song so i guess that's why he is driving
@@marcraider plus Roger does love his car!
@@lclark6854 Very good 😂
Great video, great reaction! This channel is becoming my favorite channel on CZcams😊
Actually all the songs they sang at Live Aid were shortened versions. Each act only got 20 minutes and while some bands sang one or two full songs, Queen wanted to fit in as many of their hits as possible. They did a great job...each song just left you wanting more.
We owe this one to Roger’s then little son Felix who toddled up to his famous dad one morning and announced, “Radio. Ca ca!.” Felix was raised in France, where ca ca means shit, so Queen changed it to ga ga. But, if you listen closely toward the end they slip in a few ca ca’s. Usually in live performances, too.
Ohhhh thanks for the info
It’s Roger’s son Rufus, though, who’s a drummer like his Dad. Maybe Felix gets royalties from Radio Ga Ga and will never have to work a day in his life. Kidding. But hey, would the song exist without Felix’s input?
"Music production" is the key element that everyone is missing here.
Young people don’t understand what radio meant to us. One stereo in the living room maybe, and we had little transistor radios that we would sneak and listen to in bed, hiding under the covers.. then stereo components started and FM started playing music, including full records that AM radio wouldn’t play… We heard it on the radio and bought the records. Now you just press search and listen to whatever you want.
Freddy predicted the future with this one cause all we hear is radio gaga when it comes to today’s music being played on the radio. 😂😂😂😂😂 yup I said it main stream music is gaga!!!!
In the club the bass solo in the extended version sounded like if an helicopter was landing in the middle of the dance floor
The full song is actually longer in minutes and seconds than Bohemian Rhapsody
Metropolis is a very cool, silent movie 1928, I believe. It inspired a lot of modern Sci Fi films and books.
Freddie Mercury was a one of a lifetime/one of a kind! You should listen to "Days Of Our Lives", He kills it!
Funny that you mentioned the flying cars thing. I remember back in the 90’s when people were saying we’d have flying cars by the year 2000. Lol
The movie Metropolis (for which this video was based on) had been lost since the 1920s, and was released that year. Think about that. That's their view of the future almost a hundred years ago.
The movie is a good watch too.
Man! It's hard to believe I was 16 when this song came out!!! Thanks for the react Jayy!!!❤
One of my favs!!!!!! Thx jayy!! Sending love girlie
In a few years time, kids will be asking, what a radio

Yes girl!!
Love your shirt! 🌎✌️
Hey Jayy! ❤️
I would love to see you react to Queen's- Who wants to live forever' it will get you really right in the feels~
The video was saying goodbye to the radio because mtv thought that music videos were going to kill radio stations .
Love your A Night At The Opera shirt 😍
Please react to How Can I Go On from Freddie and Montserrat Caballé!Favourite song :)
“Yes Freddy”🤣🤣🤣
Now you know why and how the crowd reacts at live aid.
Flying cars have been around since the 1960’s
If you have not seen the movie about Freddie Mercury and Queen, watch it soon. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is a great rock bio movie.
Freddy has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard. One that comes close as far as range who is also captivating is Myles Kennedy. I know you'll love him. take a listen to his "Watch Over You" with Alter Bridge, or "Hallelujah" , or "Don't Walk Away" with Mayfield Four.
Inteligent people with an ear for music should focus on the song not just the voice.
@@roverwaters3875 I mentioned the voices BECAUSE she mentioned the voice and I saw her reaction to the voice... therefore I mentioned other voices she might appreciate. an intelligent person might have picked up on the nuance of that.
Video from the film "Metropolis."
Oops. They mentioned it at the end of the video.
Love your hair. ❤❤
Lady gaga got her name from this song
Lady Gaga got her name from this song...

If this is your first time hearing slot of these songs, what do you listen to on a daily basis, and aren't you glad you listened to your mom and found real music?!!
My mom didn’t tell me about most of the music I found only some songs that I mentioned she told me about which are very few suggestions come from the subscribers
My wife and I just found your channel a few days ago, and have been binge watching since. Thank you for your videos we really enjoy them and keep up the good work.
