My guy said "you peasants with your fog machines, we got hazers over here!" hahaha. I love the detailed setup and the shots came out hella dope, and I say that not even being a big fan of using gels.
I really like this shoot, as its my personal style, except I use much cheaper lights and a fog machine lol. I do not have v-flats or a studio, so I'll have to experiment and see how good i can do with what I have.
Paul you can recreate the same effects with lower end gear like with multiple nanlite FS60b, since these units are bi color you can set the main light and your calera wb to 3200k and have the fill lights at 5600k, this will make the fill lights blue. The biggest expense would be the nanlite projection attachment unit (m mount) but it is really worth it and as a plus it wont reduce the light output like the one in the video! And you can mount gels on it (on the front never in the gobo holder) You can also get cheaper RGB led panels by Neewer or GVM. If your budget allows it the Nanlite Pavotube 15 and 30c are discounted in many stores now since Nanlite just launched an updated version, you can pick also the Godox TL60/TL120s which are great too!
