- Welcome to the W Barcelona, a W Hotel! Join the Points Passport as we give you a full tour and review of this massive iconic Marriott Bonvoy W Barcelona property. The W Barcelona is nestled right between the Barcelona Harbor and the Barcelona Beach directly on the waterfront. This 5 Star Barcelona hotel is absolutely huge and the property is a destination of its own. The W Barcelona has three pools and we take you to each one, as well as a lobby tour, room tour (Cool Corner Suite Room), and a walk around the famous W Wet Deck. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the unique Shower Experience within the W Hotel's Bliss Spa. We had never seen any spa like this! We take a dive into the indoor pool and enjoy a hot sauna! The W Barcelona is not a cheap hotel or a budget hotel, but luckily we were able to travel hack a totally free two night stay by paying with points from our Chase Sapphire Reserve Card. Without points, this W Barcelona Hotel stay would have cost over $1,000 per couple. We hope you enjoy our W Barcelona Hotel Review and Tour!

This property gets a ton of tourist traffic so the rooms were a little worn but still very nice! The amenities, views and location made up for the few imperfections in the rooms and halls. Make sure you check us out on Instagram @pointspassport !

Please note that many cruise lines don't offer the W Hotel or the Hotel Arts as part of the pre- or post-cruise stay packages. If you're interested in booking either hotel, I suggest that you do what the Hotel Arts reviewer did and book it separately using Virtuoso or some other hotel booking engine. The outdoor pools in almost all hotels in Barcelona are not heated, from about April thru September it is very hot, you appreciate the cool water, the rest of the time it starts to cool down and not may people use the outdoor pools

3:40 the ocean air is typically very cool at the mediterranean (what ocean?!).

Good point: the Med is NOT an ocean but a very large inland sea. It sure looks as big as an ocean though!

Iâm debuting staying a night at the edition, a night at the W and a night the arts. Yay or nay?
We stayed at the Barcelona EDITION for 1 night, and the W Barcelona for 2 nights. Feel free to check out our review on the Barcelona EDITION! We loved both, but they have different vibes. The Barcelona EDITION puts you more in the heart of the city and is walkable to nearly everything. Think more of a luxury city experience. The W Barcelona felt like its own beach resort destination. It wasn't walkable to the core of the city but the entire beachfront is amazing. Felt much more like something you'd experience in SoCal like Newport Beach or San Diego almost. We haven't stayed at the Arts Hotel but it looks incredible. If we were going to do it again, I think it would depend on the time of year (summer - W Barcelona) and what we were going for. The W Barcelona has a lot more pools, sun decks, a massive spa, and way more resort-esq amenities but the EDITION is focused more on pure luxury and has the dip pool. Honestly, I think we'd probably book nights at both next time we go to Barcelona! Hope that helps!
@@PointsPassport Iâm going in September hopefully. I saw your review for the Edition and it definitely looks nice. I definitely want to experience both. City and sea but I also want to go to Palma đ so Iâm just torn right now and being an indecisive person does not help. I also like the Mandarin! Did you all check out the beach? Is it worth staying there or checking out Palma?

Im also already staying at the Hotel Arts for 3 nights before going to the edition for 2 nights. Itâll be late October when i go, so likely too chilly to enjoy the pools at the W.
