MORE INFO ABOUT THIS VIDEO 😃

Barcelona is an amazing place to eat! But here’s the thing - it can also be hard to eat well in Barcelona because it’s so touristy. There are just so many options, and lots of them literally are tourist traps. But happily there are also so many incredible places to eat and delicious things to taste and drink if you just know where to look.
In this video I take you to 10 of my favourite places to eat 10+ incredible bites. And we visit 3 famous neighbourhoods across the entire video. We go to the Born, the Gothic Quarter and La Barceloneta - three neighbourhoods that you have to visit, and we’ll eat delicious food in each!
And a number of places are places we visit on Devour Tour’s food tours - including our Tastes & Traditions of Barcelona Food Tour and our Tapas, Taverns & History Food Tour
Also, once you’ve watched this, be sure to check out my playlist of Barcelona videos - including my epic 9-stop Barcelona Tapas Crawl.
    So, where do we go?
    1. Granja Dulcinea for an incredible suizo (chocolate and cream!)
    2. Mercado Santa Caterina: We visit Bar Joan for a fry-up breakfast and cava and Antonio Iberics for a fantastic selection of cured meats. Plus, we visit a stall for delicious escalivada.
    3. Historic Casa Gispert for a selection of wood-roasted almonds, and chocolate treats
    4. Hofmann Pastisseria for an insane marscapone croissant
    5. La Campana for delicious turrón and horchata
    6. Xarcutería La Pineda for vermouth and a selection of potato chips with Espinaler sauce, cheeses and salt-cured anchovies
    7. Bodega La Palma for patatas bravas and red wine
    8. Can Paixano for a delicious butifarra sandwich and also a pork loin and cheese sandwhich - all knocked back with their famous cava
    9. La Cova Fumada for a bomba (it was invented here!), grilled squid and grilled sardines
    10. Can Ramonet for a delicious seafood fideuá and drinking from the porrón!
    Salut!

Wow I can't believe I remembered to share this just now, but just before covid became a thing, we visited Barcelona in 2020 and used your tips as guidance. We listed all the places, planned each day's attractions and routes and between them visited all these places for breakfast, lunch or dinner, it was 100% worth it! Not only for the food and drinks which were amazing, but the atmosphere was very important for a great Barcelona experience. People won't make a mistake following your advices, thank you!

    Hi James,
I would like to say THANK YOU! for your video. I just went to Barcelona a couple of weeks ago for 4 days, and I followed your food tour over that time. I ended up going to number 1,2,3,4,5,7,10
As a vegetarian, It it was most of the ones you suggested. I must say, I definitely enjoyed each stop! None of them seemed to be tourist, extremely busy or extremely expensive. I also ordered the same dishes you had recommended, and i must say your were spot on for each one of them.
My friend went to Barcelona and followed it as well on my recommendation.
I would just like to thank you as you make my trip to Barcelona amazing in terms of food due to this video!
P.S. I also loved your Gothic Tour Ten stops as well.

THANK YOU very much for these recommendations!!!! We're headed to Barcelona for a cruise next June but staying afterwards in the town for 4-5 days. ALL of these locations will definitely be on our places to visit while we are there. My wife and I look for the "out-of-the-way" spots away from the typical tourist traps. Great Vid! Thanks again sooooo much!

Just booked our trip for April of 2020, one day in Barcelona before boarding our cruise ship, so I'm watching all the To-Do videos to try and maximize our 24 to 30 hours in the city. This was probably one of the best videos I've seen, of course the food and wine looked amazing but the production and the way you delivered the information was top notch. Well done and thank you for this. Hitting the subscribe button...now!

Great job! You picked some excellent spots. These are the kind of places that made me fall in love with Barcelona. I go nuts for turron de yema tostada. It's clearly the best of all the turrons. I did cringe a bit when you said that Mercat de Santa Caterina was in the Born, but i'm very much a stickler when it come to geography even though I know it's not always a good look. Keep up the great work!

Just wanted to say thank you. Visited Barcelona a few days ago and despite having been dozens of times I took some advice from this video and also your tapas tour video. Had some amazing experiences but the highlights were Bar Joan, the squid in La Cova Fumada OMG!!!!!!, Bar La Plata, Bodega Meastrazgo with Jose and that Mascarpone croissant from Hoffman!! Thanks James and Yoli. Fantastic!
