- This is part 1 of an awesome Saturday of fishing. Once again, the fish were biting the day we were supposed to get storms. These old lowhead dams / spillways are awesome spots to target some fish that are hanging out near the structure. Unfortunately, nothing huge was caught in this spot, but I am sure big fish frequent this area on some days. Stay tuned for part 2 where I visit a creek that was on fire (fish catching wise). I may start calling myself the Dink Lord. With my current fishing expertise, I will take any fish I can catch haha.

I've been catching them a ton this year. They seem to be pretty common the more north you go in Ohio.
Dayton is great for fishing especially creeks

I'm glad you're giving me the catch. You'll see in one of the coming videos that I did the same snag on a BIG smallmouth. Dayton has a ton of these old lowhead dams around it, but there's always a ton of people. If you catch it on a good day you can definitely find some massive smallies.
