This was absolutely outstanding. I am fairly new to diecast racing at this level. I've been a lover of 64 scale racing since childhood. At 57 this is a whole new lease on 64th scale racing for me. Laying out the track and creating a fun raceway is fairly easy for me. The diorama aspect of it, is where I struggle. You have provided many great ideas here. Very much appreciated. I wish there were more build videos as such. I am struggling along here, building a diorama race course with my grandson. We cannot wait, to complete it. And hopefully in the future host races in make videos. I know I can't guarantee a perfect diorama. But I can guarantee some exciting fast racing. Once again thank you for your build video. And thank you for your resource list. I will be reaching out to several of the folks you called out in your video. To hopefully make some great pieces for my grandson and my track. And thanks to everyone who assisted Bay City in creating this fantastic diorama track. What a great collaboration.
Try Home Depot or Lowes foam insulation you can buy foam glue stack them to desired height, cut slopes into it and then shave the edges with a knife or foam cutter. Hot wire foam factory has all you would need to do what I mentioned. I would look up dioramas made of foam to get ideas on how to use them to exactly what you need. You can make just about anything with that foam insulation. They come in two by two sheets or 4’x8’ sheets. Lowes I think sells it in white and Home Depot sells them in pink. Keep in mind most spray paint doesn’t work with foam because it eats it. But theres many videos that explain how to paint the foam. I used to be into 1:12 scale action figures and I made a pretty good alley way for my Super Heroes. So now I’m going to apply it to my diecast racing channels. Bay City has done a lot of what I have been dreaming of doing, I just don’t have the space at the moment. I love doing this stuff so don’t hesitate to ask. Good luck nice to see someone close to my age still having fun. 😂 You have me beat by a few years 😂

I started out making a 17ft long downhill drag strip. My son and I had a ball with it. Wife wasn’t thrilled when I would spend 20 minutes in a store shopping Hot Wheels cars every time we went grocery shopping lol.
Then after seeing channels like this and 3DBotmaker, I decided we should build a race course.
I bought 5 of those NASCAR figure 8 tracks and made a lengthy track in my garage as well but nothing like this. Mine is just the track and I attached supports that hold up the track against the walls. Lots of trial and error for just the right angle. I tried to add a corkscrew turn like the one at Laguna Seca raceway…diecast cars don’t like it lol. But my track has no detail like yours. No trees or buildings or anything like that. Was thinking about recording the races and adding some music and sound effects for fun but it’s hard to find the time to do all that. Tons of credit man. Amazing job.

This was awesome to watch. Informative too. Really nice job putting this track together with obviously amazing contributions from talented people in the diecast world. About how long from day 1 until you felt the track was ready for the Super Trucks to start filming?
Start to ready to race, probably 5-6 months of building. But…..keep in mind that I’m a single father that works full time including Saturdays. Anyone with more free time or perhaps works from home, could probably bust something like this out in a month. Thanks for the gracious words man. I appreciate you.

Yeah there's spray foam underneath the mountains behind the fire station and performance shop. It can be difficult to control at times for me, but there's definitely plenty of foam around the track as well. Thanks for checking in! -BCD

@@baycitydiecastracing ya for some reason sneaky bob always runs me under bigstank.. his track was the second track I ever sent a car into and I don’t think I had a drivers name or a team name so he just went with bigstank cause it’s my email and now he just always uses it wich is cool..well can’t wait to get another crack at bay city hopefully my car will do better then my truck did.. it was still cool my truck got to be in the first group to race on the new track

An incredible amount of detail. I absolutely love it. It doesn't seem to have a major lane advantage either which is great and if there ends up being good passing opportunities it will be even better yet. Plus it gives me hope that the track build I have in mind is actually possible. I'm wanting to build one based around the pro football Hall of Fame and McKinley monument area of Canton Ohio. I know the city sucks but it's home at least part time. It would be a cooler build than Jacksonville or Wilmington NC I think.

@@baycitydiecastracing it's a bit in limbo at the moment, thinking about moving if we can find the right place at the right price either here or back in North Carolina but not having much luck. Renting right now but from a close family friend for a great price so not quite sure what to do. Definitely want to get started on the track though and do have plenty of room but might have to figure out how to do it knowing that it might need to be moved. Either way, Black and Blue racing is at least in the planning stages.

Where your straights meet the curves, do you have custom pieces for the transition so your straights stay flat?
Hey JaRyan1974! Thanks for checking us out! Yeah all my curves are designed and printed by Spool Heads. Some of the ones on the track are built specifically for the corner they're in, while others just went there because they fit. lol But I understand custom pieces can be difficult to come by, and as you may know, Bay City was 100% Adventure Force Crash Racers for a long time.

It is superb so well done. But I think the cars are still too fast for a good race. This is a problem with many of these tracks. The race is just breakneck speed and over before it starts. I like the track at Gravity Racing as there are several parts the cars run at a slower speed. But that's just me. You did a great job.
Its not just you,, these little cars haul ass if you let em! The best part of these races for me is watching them pass each other and cut each other off, like there are really little people driving them. The cars have personalities that you cant really enjoy when theyre going to fast!Personally i think 3dbotmaker has found the perfect speed on all their tracks. gravity racing on the other hand is just a touch too slow for my blood.

Why is diecast racing so fun?
Dope track
The camera work sucks because the track is too fast. So fast that the cars are just blurs that the camera has to try to keep up which results in motion sickness...practically. Slow it down a little. Perfect example would be..3dbot racing.try it for a season and youll see subscribers will stick around.
Maybe a little gruff in your delivery, but i won't fault you for your honest opinion. This is what helps us get better all the way around.
Blackdog I’m guessing you only watched the first race of the trucks series, as I was experimenting with speed at that time. I slowed it down an ADDITIONAL 10% for the second video. If they go any slower than that, well it wouldn’t really be racing then would it? Thanks for checking us out.
