You'll need an upgraded turbo to hit anything close to 350hp, even with stock turbo on e85 you're still around 300ish. Also, it's better to go with a real tune (Bootmod3 OTS/Custom Navardi BM3 tune) rather than a piggyback like JB4.
doubt it, I'm sure I can get this thing at least close without a new turbo and not costing an arm and a leg. and if you slap a new turbo on at that point you should just go all in.
Bigger turbo and legit turn will get you more power, but if I spend anymore on an N20. I would be looking at getting a different car maybe something with an N54.
@@Chadom. lol that stock turbo will only bring you to 320hpcrank max on 98 , on e30 max is 330hp , you want to push over 340hp on these engine you do really need E30 / E50(USE B58HPFPTU) and some hybrid turbo either TTE400 OR PURE STG2 also that stock turbo is the biggest reason why many n20 bend its rod simply way too much TQ at lower rpm , slightly bigger turbo will bring the TQ to the middle part of rpm which is much safer than massive low end TQ also bigger turbo will be much better in high rpm , something that stock turbo really lacks off , how could i know these? i myself has already do some experiment on maxing stock turbo and these hybrid turbo , so hybrid turbo is the best and safest way to bring you to the "350hp" number . and to my knowledge there's none of these "big tuners" name willing to push stock turbo that hard

350hp at crank, isn’t it too high? I mean N20 can support up to 300hp at crank, that’s what my workshop and most of the guys in the group said.
I’ve seen over 300crank. 350crank definitely start looking into bigger fuel pump to avoid starvation.
Make sure if you track it to watch for oil starvation as well on corners.
It’s an open deck engine. Don’t do it unless u know how to replace the timing chain. I own one

I own an n20 it's slow as shit you cannot tell me otherwise 😭 you only can add 100hp max from stock no matter what you do unless you start getting forged internals and a bigger turbo. They're wastes of money , a n54 and n55 has more hp stock and can easily make 450-500 without touching internals or turbo , same with b58.
n20 is 240 hp stock if tune adds 100 ur already almost pushing 350 which tune doesnt its most likely 40 hp added unless stage 2

Bootmod3 is the better option nowadays. But before 2018 JB4 was it my personal fav way to go.
I'm in California so the catless downpipe is not an option. What's the best power increase with the stock downpipe with the cat?

@@DailyCruzer how do you pass smog without the cat? Do you just swap it back when it's time to do a smog check? I guess that might be doable, a few hours work every two years. I like to run E85 so it wouldn't increase emissions much anyways.

Honestly I have a n20 FBO bm3 stage 2 big difference from stock 180 ponies to about 300 ponies no way I’m touching 350 and in my opinion if I knew what I was buying when I was 18 an n20 wouldn’t be it. Hands down the worst motor to buy😅 wish I got an n55 or b58

The N20 has the same internals as the N55 they can handle 400 stock as long as torque does not exceed 370 it’s also a pretty solid reliable engine with a great power band stop listening to idiots on forums that don’t know how to tune a car properly Navardi Tuned are the experts on N20’s they know more than you the highest go N20 in the world exceeds 550hp
I got mine at the same age honestly don’t regret it I just wish I knew what I know now I could’ve got so much more I paid 16k for nothing😂I literally could’ve had anything I wanted I just assumed the car was gonna be the best option😔at that time my credit was also pushin 800 maybe 20 under so I mean I literally could’ve have went to any dealership and got something I could be proud of😭sht makes me wanna go kicc my car rn as I type this😤😖

While some dealers would have you think otherwise, simply having an aftermarket part or modifying your vehicle cannot void your warranty. However, if that part led to something breaking on the vehicle, the dealership can deny your warranty claim. So really depends on which part and what goes wrong. For example if your strut fails and it’s covered by warranty, none of these modification is the cause. But it your turbo goes out they can say one of these modification could have caused it.

@@raymondgonzales8780 they're running some mix of ethanol not fully e85 but maybe betwen E30-E50 , n20 sucks with pump gas you couldn't pass 23 psi and 8 deg of timing without knock / timing retard .but its absolutely love any kind of Emix as long the HPFP. is not crashing
