Love my 328i. On the 5th year of ownership and there have been some costly problems but the way it corners and drives makes you fall back in love.
Exactly! Nothing on driving on some tight bends and backroads with this car
Like what may I ask?
what did you need to fix over time, miles? considering getting one anything to look out for with the particular models would be greatly appreciated
:D
@@saman1820 Parts in general are expensive so replacing the battery and alternator and getting it programmed (necessary step after battery replacement) cost over $1500 ($500 battery, $800 OEM alternator, rest for labour). A new thermostat cost me over $800 from BMW dealership. Getting a software update for the car because it was draining battery cost over $500 from the dealership. New breaks and rotors cost $650. Oil changes cost $120 unless you wanna do em yourself. Just little things. Not going to the BMW dealership will save you a lot of money as well. I learned the hard, costly way. BMW will always have some issues, so leave aside anywhere from $500-$3000 for unexpected repairs! These cars are aging and repairs are costly.
@@braedon7577 Please refer to my above comment. The car is at exactly 90,000 KM (kilometres), i’ve done the above replacements^. Its a 328i, a big issue with the 320i and 328i in particular is the timing chain, which tends to deteriorate over time and should be replaced around the 100k-120k mile mark. I’m not entirely sure what to look out for with the 335i and 340i, but if you’re buying i’d suggest you look for something under 80,000 miles.
I’ve had my f30 328i for 15 months. Never had a CEL or drivetrain error. No tuning mods because I don’t want issues. Completely stock. Absolute lovely car and I got really lucky with the one I have it’s pristine at 59k miles.
That's good man! Preventative maintenance is the best way! Which year is your car?
What year ?
Maybe it’s because u bought a used car and u did not know what the previous owner do to it
Oh boi timing chain probably went out by know
@@ksunknownff9987or maybe because it is exactly how he described it… what’s the point of assuming something negative?
I have a 2014 328i F30, got it for 22k 13,900 miles, no accidents, 1 owner.
Seriously a great car overall people underestimate its power and handling. I have 40k on it now after 2 year ownership no issues yet except for small stuff
This car just needs maintenance. Oil leaks, sensors kaput, plastic and rubber parts disintegrate, wind noise above 110kmh. The maintenance is a little higher than japanese, interior trim parts can be extremely pricey. However there are plenty of parts in the used parts marketplace. This car is not for car owners who drive and don't bother with maintenance. BMW is a car for car enthusiasts. Gotta love it more than you hate it because anything that can break will break with this car.
Love your comment! True story 👌🏼
Broo, ive seen your video for quite sometime, i baru tahu you shoot the video dkt malaysia lmao. Need your opinion , still 328i f30 good to buy now ?
Would you say more reliable than a 320i?
Totally agree! And SUCH a pretty car with the Msport package.
Indeed it is!
Yess
Hey bro cool video. Regarding the thing you said that it feels faster than 250hp, is because that is true. You probably know that BMW actually write their power numbers lower than they actually are. Multiple dyno tests of the F30 328i have been done and all of them have shown them revolving around 270-280hp actually instead of the 245 on paper. So essentially with that in mind, a stage 2 and more tunes can get this engine up to 350hp
That's amazing man! I've yet to dyno my car and figure out what numbers i'm putting down. Planning to do that soon though!
Yeah bro this car is quick me n my homie were breaking down how for what it is and turbo i4 man your quicker then most cars around. Not to mention if you got the driver mod 😂😈 it kills man
What engine would be in a 2010 328i?
@@Valorant-is-Trashn53 n/a i-6
Rob, thx for the vid. Good recap. I have the same car in red that my wife drives. 120k and nothing but regular service except for motor mounts. Still going strong, but wifey can get over 30K out of the performance tires, so not pushing it 😂
175+ km on my 330e. So far had to get seals on the diff and 2 shocks done. The most expensive thing is the tires as they just disintegrate
Great to hear that! True story on the tires 😅🤫
3 year ownership of my 2014 328i n26 , no errors , no cells never left me stranded, tuned fbo since 45k miles now at 60k miles still
No issues 🤌🏽
Love my 328i fr bro it’s my baby
Bro I love this car, I can say that 328i is maybe on the reliable side obviously not the most reliable (it’s a bmw) but it’s not gonna kill you with problems like I got with a E90 335. Quick with power , nice for daily with good speed not FAST but very fun drive for the price
As long as you maintain them right, They'll treat you right 👌🏼
They are amazing cars and they will run forever as long as you treat them right
I have a 2016 328i in Melbourne red. I fell in love with it as soon as I drove it. I was shopping around and tried a newer 330i that was in orange and for some reason, the magic wasn’t there like the 328i
Nice I jus got a 15 328i Melbourne red a month ago 💪
The magic was probably the price of the newer 330i 😂
i just go to my mechanic when i dont get a drivetrain error for some period of time. thinking that there might be a problem :D
😂😂😂
I got 80k kms on my 320D... running pretty good and the torque on that deyum hits diff..
PS: Yea the "D" don't hate the D please, it's us vs. the EVs now :)
The D is absolutely amazing 😂😂👌🏼 I had 180k kms on my 520d with absolutely no issues
130k on my 2014 F30 (SULEV version). No issues yet 🤞 Still runs and drives so well. I don’t know what it is about BMW and their transmissions (think it’s a ZF, but still), but the shift points in this car are just spot on (yes… it’s an automatic, lots of driving in traffic).
Anyway, just thought I’d chime in just in case anyone is looking at purchasing one.
bought mine last year at 36k miles. got plans for a stage 1 tune before 65k i’m somewhere at 54k rn
Nice video bro…but I wonder why didn’t u take 320d? I thought it’s less problematic?
Thanks bro, Cause I had a 520d before this and didn’t wanna get a car with the same engine i had for 3 years prior 😅
I love my 328i
Reliability really changes around September Built 2014 forward.
Currently at 220,000 miles and the worst issue I've had on it was a radiator that sprang a leak. The fix is simple, took maybe 2 hours to do myself and I picked it up for about $200 USD.
That being said, I am also the only owner. Picked it up at 230 miles (it was a dealer car).
Have you had to do timing chain? Transmission clutch etc?
just picked up my 2016 328 m sport,i love it
Great choice man! Congrats
What are the pros and cons compared to 520D?
I'm a current user of 520D N47, would love to understand the comparison between F10 and F30 from tge user of both cars
Honestly, the F30 is less comfortable, but smaller so you can fit in the city easier and with less worry, F30 is also sharper in tight corners, but F10 is much more stable at high speed. In terms of diesel vs petrol, Petrol Sounds better, 328i is faster than 520d, but also less reliable at the same time.
@@AJDrives I thought N20 will be more reliable than N47. Or your 520D is B47?
I think N47. For me it was the opposite. N47 was great, N20 is Meh (in terms of reliability) 😂
just got my 328i smogged finally, cant wait to wrap it!
Awesome! Congrats
Hi, the chain is in front of the engine or in the back? Tnx
Front
how's the soundproof comparing F30 to F10? is the F30 alot noisy on the road than F10? im looking to get one for daily drive.
Yes, F10 is definitely a quieter experience
f30 is WAY better for turns, like its night and day.. F10 just feels so bad to drive honestly, but its way more silent and comfortable than F30..
F10 for autobahn / highway and F30 for city or backroads, also F10 is marginably slower, lets say f30 gets 0-60 in 5sec f10 gonna need 6
I own both an F10 and F30. I use my F10 for longer drives. F10 is certainly much more comfortable and quieter. My F30 is more of my daily.
What do you think about the 20d?
As someone who owned an F10 520d for 3 years. That engine is more reliable and fuel efficient than any of the petrol varients. would definitely recommend. I also have a video reviewing a fully modified 320d on my channel, if you wanna check it out!
I’m tapping 340 hp with just bolt on’s and tuning.about to dig into the motor now. Aiming for around 650-700 rwhp
Checkout my latest video, I'm digging into the engine and going for Forged internals next.
coming from a 2010 328i xdrive. is the handling an upgrade in the 2012-2015 328i models
Is a 2016 328i bmw n20 with 60miles reliable?
Yes I’ve had mines at 65k and I’ve been rough on since I’ve gotten it I’m now at 109k miles and the only thing that went bad was the belt I do oil changes frequently and a coolant change every 20k miles only thing I would say is upgrade the charge pipes
My 2013 328i is at 150k miles rn and the only issues im having is fuel pump but other than that its been the best car ive had and sounds great!
Can you visit the amber court hotel in this car
No idea where that is
I wouldn’t give up my f30 328 for anything.
would rather have a f30 330i Msport
what year is the car?
2012
do genting pov drive👻
Yeap, been thinking about that for a while now. Will definitely do one soon!
Nice punn 😂, give that cop some doughnuts 😂😂😂😂😂. Doing some doughnuts with the car or buy him actual doughnuts.😅
Buy him doughnuts of course 🤫
dangg
💪🏼🤘🏼
I fucking hate my 328 it’s a 2014 with 75 k miles and the transmission blew at 70 k and I’ve already put like 8 k into mine. I guess I just got a lemon
God I really love my tree28i
So do I! 😅
@@AJDrives 😭😭💯
I was looking for this 😂😂😂
If you want to kill your transmission then good luck with drifting. Because a car is not designed for that
Opening wheel spin so gay 🤣🤣🤣
I just rebuilt my engine😂😂😂 I broke a piston
Same
I'm 52 I bought my first BMW when I was 20 years old I've owned five now I will not buy any other car except for BMW because out of all five cars that I have put well over 200,000 Mi on each one of them I've never had a single problem except for my 330 CI fuel pump without it was underneath the back seat $55 took me half hour............ what happens with BMWs is they get handed down to young kids that only know how to put it to the floor every time they take off no car can take that abuse and this is exactly what happens and that's why they have a bad name as far as unreliable........... but I'm here to tell you as long as you maintain them they run forever.... every one of them I have put well over 200,000 on....... like I said well over my 325 had almost 300,000 Mi on it and I was still able to trade it for a 2010 CBR1000 with only 12,000 Mi on it.:-)........ so they have good resale as long as they're well taken care of
nice video ma bro!, can I have your instagram bro wanna ask about bmw.
Thanks bro, Insta link in the description
